Words For The Soul Food For The Heart

This prayer challenges us to align our words with our faith. Faith according to scripture is the “substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things still yet unseen” (Hebrews 11:1). Yet, we still believe for the best, even when the best we desire, has not yet arrived. We still believe it’s coming to us real soon. So, the call is to speak and understand, that what we say in our daily lives has an effect upon, what we actually see. Therefore, we speak life, we speak faith, and believe that what we have asked God, for in prayer, will come to be.

Sometimes nothing changed in you — the favor that God has placed upon your life, just became visible, not only to you but to others. When that happens — Don’t shrink. Don’t apologize. Don’t dim what God has placed within you to make somebody else comfortable. Walk in God’s favor unapologetically, with humility, gratitude, and a quiet confidence. Favor Was Not Meant To Be Hidden.

Sometimes we think we have missed some steps because life may not be exactly as we would have it to be in the present moment. Yet, every step has its purpose and whether we long for something different — where we are still holds great promise. God knows exactly where we are located and is able to move us straight ahead. Today, find peace in your journey, because  there is still more to come. Trust God with you and with your journey.

Psalm 34:8 says “Taste and see that the Lord is good”. Therefore we are offered a brand new opportunity to see and taste the good the Lord provides and set before us each day. The good ness of life does not always make its way to us. Sometimes we have to go to it. That means we must rise and meet those opportunities each day regardless of what might stand in our way. Nevertheless, God’s goodness does prevail and avail itself to us. Let’s go taste it for ourselves.

Today we all need the gift of Peace as we rest this last Holiday of the Summer season. Whether you decide to cookout with family and friends, or find yourself having to work during this Labor Day, or maybe is engaged in doing other things, today’s prayer invites you to still have “Peace In This Monday”. It is not something you have to hope or wish for today. Peace is a very real option and we must take it, because it really does belong to us. Walk In Peace this Monday. Amen.

Whatever you are thirsty for this Sunday morning — come. Come! Not when you are ready. Not when the week has been good enough. Just come. Thirsty for peace after a week of noise. Thirsty for understanding after a week of confusion. Thirsty for strength after the week took more than you had to give. Thirsty for joy. John 7:37 says, “If anyone is thirsty let them come to me and drink.”

This Saturday morning the only assignment is to be. Not to do. Not to plan. Just to be. Present. Alive. breathing. Psalm 37:7 invites us to”to be still before the Lord”.

This Friday we name a few things — the anxiety, the pressure, the unresolved situations. Then, we shoot them down. Not with worry or panic. But with what God has already placed in our hands. Truth, Righteousness, Peace, Faith, Salvation, and The Word of God.

Morning is not just a time. Morning is a message. You are still here. Still Loved! Still held! Today’s prayer lifts the spirit of everyone who woke up needing one good reason to believe, something beautiful is still possible. Isaiah 60:1 declares — Arise. Shine. Your light has come”. It’s not coming. Your Light is Already Here! Rise Up, Now!

Some woke up tired. Still carrying and still trudging. This prayer sees you. But it also declares something the noise of this world tries to make us miss — God is not hidden. God’s power is not absent. It is at work right now, for us. John 16:33 says — “I HAVE Overcome The World”. Which means everything coming against us has already been overcome. So, Take Heart!
