Recently conviction and reverence has gotten a bad rap. Many have swung the pendulum and over-corrected to extreme legalism and boundary strict Christianity that has wounded some. But in overreacting to legalism, I wonder if we have left the highway of holiness and lost the all-important spiritually vital component of Awe and reverence. In a world where holiness is out and authenticity in, perhaps we have slid too far down the road of "I’m just being true to myself"...
