One of the most frequent new writer problems is writers using vague adjectives instead of specific, sensory, or emotion-packed words.  How big is big?  What makes something amazing?   Does your story have a case of The Vague Adjective? Vague words are okay for first drafts, but revisions require helping the reader see, feel, touch, hear, taste, and experience your world. It's also a way to increase characterization, emotion, and conflict.

The revision process is a challenge. One  new writer problem: Writing a whole lot words that go no where and serve no purpose. Each sentence, each paragraph, and each scene should show and amplify your plot, characterization, conflict, and characters' emotions.

Sure, we like to complain about the writing process, the publishing world, and author tasks but we really are very lucky to be able to write, create, and publish our works. Juggling social media, writing, and life ( and a full-time job) is hard work. I stressed about it all the time!  All the marketing advice says a writer Must Work The Social Media to be and stay relevant. To get noticed. To find new readers. To build connections.  That's a lot social media stress for one writer. Then I had a few realizations. I figured out ways to dump the stress of posting to all those platforms. That way I can stress about other things---like writing my next book! lol
