Roxy Striar & Tara Erickson take a wild detour into horror with Wrong Turn 6: Last Resort (2014), the sixth installment in the cult slasher franchise, this time directed by Valeri Milev (Re-Kill). This gruesome entry reinvents the saga with a new storyline while keeping the backwoods brutality and inbred cannibal killers front and center.

The film follows Danny, played by Anthony Ilott (White Island), who inherits the mysterious and secluded Hobb Springs Resort, only to discover a horrifying family legacy. As he reconnects with long-lost relatives—Jackson (Chris Jarvis, The Bill) and Sally (Sadie Katz, House of Bad)—Danny’s friends begin disappearing in increasingly disturbing ways. The infamous cannibalistic trio—Three Finger, Saw Tooth, and One Eye—return to carve up new victims in bloody fashion.

Key moments include the resort’s hot springs massacre, a shocking axe-to-the-face sauna scene, and a grotesque ritual initiation that marks Danny’s descent into darkness. With its blend of gore, cultish horror, and eerie rural setting, Wrong Turn 6 delivers twisted kills, depraved family ties, and franchise-altering surprises.
