Coloma's Morgan Wagner, a member of the 2018 state champion Comet Softball team, recently completed her freshman year with the Grand Valley State Softball team.  It was a season that saw Morgan earn 2nd Team All-Conference honors and help the Lakers qualify for the College Softball World Series.

Morgan stopped by the WSJM Sports studios to talk about her first year at Grand Valley and share some memories of Coloma's state championship season on Morning Sportsbeat...

Former St. Joe Bear, and now member of the Houston Astros organization, Jordan Brewer joined us on Morning Sportsbeat.  We talked about his time at St. Joe and Lincoln Trail Community College, playing in the College World Series for the University of Michigan, and being drafted by and signing with the Houston Astros.

The Western Golf Association invited 1988 Western Amateur Champion Chris DiMarco to help kick off preparations for the tournament's return to the Point O' Woods Golf and Country Club July 30 - Aug. 3.

WGA Sr. Vice President Vince Pellegrino kicked off the media day program, along with WGA Chairman Frank Morely and Point O' Woods President and Tournament Director Bruce Pfaff.

After the brief introduction, Chicago Tribune columnist Teddy Greenstein sat down with DiMarco to chat about his 1988 Championship and his pro career.
