Veterans Coffee House. Mark says the veterans Coffee House was developed in conjunction with the Wallingford Senior Center. He says the response has been incredible. At the last event there were nearly 30 men and women of various ages. It has become so popular that the Cheshire Senior Center asked them to expand into their town

Dr. Peter Schulman- Professor of Medicine at the UConn Health School of Medicine. Heart disease is the number one killer of Americans. Coronary artery disease not only causes issues blocking blood to the heart, but also to the brain causing strokes and to the legs and throughout the body., Dr. Schulman says it is one disease process but many manifestations. He says there are other disease other than coronary artery disease that impact the heart including valvar disease, congenital heart disease which people are born with and heart muscle disease.

Caitlyn Bernabucci-Public Affairs Specialist, New England Donor Services and Rinku Shrestha, a volunteer and father of a liver recipient. Organ Donation awareness, Caitlyn says currently, over 119 thousand men, women and children in the United States are in need of a lifesaving liver transplants as result, 22 candidate die each day for lack of a donor. In 2016 over 33,600 transplants were performed, saving the lives of many around the country.
