Federal Judge BLOCKS DOGE from Gaining Access to “Sensitive” Treasury Department Payment Records – DOGE Team Previously Discovered Treasury was Funding Terrorist Groups
A federal judge on Thursday blocked the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) from obtaining access to ‘sensitive‘ Treasury Department payment records for a period of time.
Judge Colleen Kollar-Kotelly wrote in her order that Treasury officials “will not provide access to any payment record or payment system of records maintained within the [Treasury] Bureau of Fiscal Service.”

This ruling comes after multiple government employee unions sued the Treasury Department over who could access the material.
The lawsuit claimed Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent improperly allowed Elon Musk’s team to access the materials, supposedly exposing personal financial information to unauthorized people.

Former North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum, who was confirmed as Trump’s Interior Secretary last week, is already clearing the way for Trump’s domestic energy production agenda.
Burgum is revoking rules Joe Biden put in place which prevented drilling on certain lands due to climate change.
Increasing energy production is going to touch nearly every part of Trump’s agenda. It’s going to help the economy, increase national security by decreasing our dependence on hostile nations, and make energy more affordable for millions of Americans.

National Public Radio on Monday ran a so-called “sponsor message” promoting pharma giant Procter & Gamble’s nerve-relief drug Nervive, “designed to reduce occasional nerve aches, weakness and discomfort.” The message, effectively a commercial, is tied to one of hundreds of advertiser deals that are far more important to NPR than government funding. NPR brought in $100 million from corporate sponsors in 2023, compared to only $7 million in federal funding.
The thinly disguised commercials such as the “sponsor message” from Procter & Gamble—aimed straight at NPR’s rapidly aging audience with aching hands and feet—are now the focus of the new Federal Communications Commission chairman, Brendan Carr, who may have found the powerful news giant’s Achilles’ heel. Carr has now launched an investigation into whether the news nonprofit’s “sponsor messages” have violated federal rules that prohibit taxpayer-funded radio stations from “airing commercials or other promotional announcements on behalf of for-profit entities.”
NPR—whose $100 million sponsorship haul in 2023 came from around 450 corporate sponsors—has been criticized for decades by conservatives who object to an overtly liberal news outlet with enormous reach receiving taxpayer dollars.

Things are about to get much worse, though, so buckle up. According to recently revealed records, left-leaning news outlet Politico received over thirty-four million dollars from USAID and other government agencies. That money went to pay for “subscriptions” for various bureaucratic officials, including “pro” subscriptions that add up to over $10,000 a pop.
Politico has never disclosed those payments even as they’ve written pieces covering USAID, posing as unbiased arbiters of truth. That represents one of the biggest scandals in the history of the press. The United States government was funneling money to a left-wing news outlet that has repeatedly done the bidding of the Democratic Party. As an example, you may remember Politico as the same news site that laundered the infamous letter from “51 intelligence officials” saying the Hunter Biden laptop was Russian disinformation.
In other words, it sure looks like the Biden administration was paying a news outlet to do its bidding. Are we supposed to believe it’s just a coincidence that Politico was routinely the go-to for Democratic Party politicians and officials to launder their propaganda?

The Federal Communication Commission (FCC) has launched an investigation into radio stations backed by leftist billionaire George Soros for broadcasting live locations of undercover Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents.

Big Panda Announces Retaliatory Tariffs – Mostly, In Name Only – It’s all Propaganda
Never was that reality clearer, than in the example of the retaliatory tariffs announced in response to President Trump’s trade tariffs.
First, tariffs on energy products are pure propaganda. Coal, LNG and crude oil are fungible. In the case of China the energy products arrive from a global market, there is no identifiable way to tariff American energy products. This is not like Canada where the Candian energy products are entirely dependent on pipelines into the USA, and therefore unavoidably easy to tariff by Trump.
Chairman Xi gets most of the Chinese imported energy resources from Russia, specifically Coal, LNG and Crude Oil. So, this subset of tariffs against American energy products is pure propaganda, essentially moot.
You know who buys USA-made “large-engine cars” (Chevy Tahoe, GMC Yukon and Ford Raptors) in China? People well connected to the Chinese Communist Party, that’s who. If you are not a member of the elite ruling class in China, you do not buy large-engine cars. So, what exactly is the intent on this one? The target is a domestic internal political apparatus, in combination with narrative creation that Beijing believes will create the biggest splash headlines in the West. That’s it. Again, pure political propaganda.

China cannot feed itself, and despite all the western nonsense, China has no intellectual capacity to create technological systems.
The belt and road initiative is the insurance policy by Beijing to ensure food and technology products, both raw materials and support for their manufacturing base. That’s why they started the Belt and Road, and that’s why it is vital for them. China cannot feed itself and China does not innovate because they are a society of compliance, not innovation or entrepreneurship.
President Trump is well aware why China has invested so heavily in USA farmland. China doesn’t have enough. President Trump is also well aware why Beijing steals IP from all U.S. companies that do business there. China doesn’t innovate.
On this dynamic of trade, China needs access to the USA consumer base, and China needs our food. President Trump is trying to break the need for Chinese manufacturing and source product supply, and President Trump is going to break the dependency of U.S. Ag on exports to China. BREAKING: Obama Judge Blocks Trump’s Federal Spending Freeze For 22 States
A federal judge on Friday temporarily blocked President Trump’s order to freeze federal funding to 22 states on public loans and grants.
On Monday, Trump’s Office of Management and Budget (OMB) put a temporary pause of agency grant, loan and other financial assistance programs.
US District Judge of the District Court for the District of Rhode Island, John McConnell, an Obama appointee, temporarily blocked Trump’s freeze on federal funding in response to a request from 22 Democrat state attorneys general and DC.

Trump to sign executive order installing ‘massive’ 10-for-1 deregulatory agenda
President Donald Trump will sign an executive order Friday that will significantly expand the “2-for-1” deregulatory goal he installed during his first stint in the White House.
The White House detailed the order in a memo, obtained Friday morning by the Washington Examiner, which follows through on one of Trump’s 2024 campaign promises. It requires federal agencies to “identify at least 10 existing rules, regulations, or guidance documents to be repealed” for every new proposed rule, regulation, or guidance.
The order further directs the Office of Management and Budget to set “standardized measurement and estimation of regulatory costs” and “requires that for fiscal 2025, the total incremental cost of all new regulations, including repealed regulations, be significantly less than zero.”

Mexico’s President Claims She Has ‘Plan A, Plan B, Plan C’ In Response To Trump Tariffs
First and foremost, Sheinbaum has threatened retaliatory tariffs on US exports to Mexico, her “Plan A”. Around 15% of US exports end up south of the border, however, Mexico is far more export dependent than the US. Only 10% of the US economy is based on exports while 43% of Mexico’s economy relies on exports according to the World Bank. In other words, tariffs will hurt them a lot more than they’ll hurt America.
Like most establishment media economists, Mexico also argues that the US consumer will have to eat the inflation in prices that comes with tariffs. This is assuming, though, that there are no alternatives to the Mexican goods being imported. Car parts, electrical equipment, oil and gas, fruits and vegetables are a few of the biggest markets for Mexican goods. The US produces close to 90% of the food that Americans purchase and Trump has indicated that energy may be exempt from tariffs.
The Mexican President’s Plan B and Plan C are not so clear.

China to sue US over Trump’s new tariffs
China will file a lawsuit at the World Trade Organization (WTO) and take other retaliatory measures against US President Donald Trump’s new tariffs on its goods, the Commerce Ministry said in a statement on Sunday. According to the statement, Beijing sees Washington’s unilateral tariff increase as “seriously violating” WTO rules.
China’s Commerce Ministry said Beijing is “strongly dissatisfied” with Washington’s action and “firmly opposes” it.

So, Canada and Mexico get 25% tariffs, but China only 10%. Why? The secret is in that subsection “(h)” when it talks about de minimis treatment. Essentially, what President Trump is doing is levying a much more massive import tax, and possible confiscation impact on the core source of fentanyl (and other illegal) substances.
Approximately a billion packages are estimated to enter the USA under the cover of the de minimis exemption. This is where the enforcement mechanism of the “External Revenue Service” combines with the tariff approach and the “state of emergency.” President Trump imposed the tariffs under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act, a nearly 50-year law that gives the president sweeping power to impose sanctions after declaring an emergency.
Now the billion packages, mostly from China, Mexico and Canada are going to be subjected to review and interception.
The de minimis loophole comes from back in the 1930s. The idea back then was, say you went on a vacation to Paris, you shouldn’t have to file customs paperwork or pay taxes if you decided to ship some little Eiffel Tower statues to your friends back home.
Congress in 2015 then raised the de minimis threshold from $200 to $800. However, the e-commerce world exploded, and Chinese companies began using the de minimis loophole to ship cheap goods (ex. Temu and Shein) into the USA direct to consumers without paying any customs duty.
It was reported last year that the U.S. was on track to receive a billion packages through the de minimis loophole that aren’t taxed and don’t have customs slips saying what they are. Making matters worse, illegal items are slipping through the cracks, including, knockoffs, unsafe items and even chemicals used to make fentanyl. The worst abuser that exploits this de minimis loophole is, by far, China.
President Trump can require a customs and duty declaration stating what is in every package and subsequently collect tariffs and duties.
Put it all together and President Trump is executing an Emergency Act executive order, plus the imposition of a tariff review, and simultaneous interception of de minimis packages previously unchecked as the enforcement mechanism. All executed by the External Revenue Service.
President Trump has got them surrounded, and the scope of it has the media so overwhelmed they cannot quite put it together.

Newsom served recall papers after outrage about LA fires
Gov. Gavin Newsom (D-CA) was notified of a recall petition to remove him from office this week.
The petition, spearheaded by California resident Randy Economy’s organization called Saving California, was cosigned by 105 people, exceeding the 50 signatures required to initiate recall efforts against Newsom.
The intent to recall petition cited concerns about Newsom’s leadership during the Los Angeles fires that devastated the state. It also accused Newsom of overseeing rising crime, homelessness, drug use, and cost of living in the Golden State.
Under Newsom, tax funds are being appropriated toward political agendas rather than addressing urgent crises, according to the petition, which was served to the governor on Tuesday.

Trump To Suspend Funding To South Africa Over Land Expropriation
South African President Cyril Ramaphosa signed a bill into law on Jan. 23 that allows provincial and national authorities to “expropriate land in the public interest” for various reasons, “subject to just and equitable compensation being paid.”
The expropriation law aims to address racial disparities in land ownership. 30 years after the apartheid system was abandoned, most farmland remains owned by white people.
Some members of the coalition government question the constitutionality of the law and have indicated they may challenge it in court.
The government notes that special conditions have to be met before expropriating land such as it having longtime informal occupants, being unused and held purely for speculation, or being abandoned.
Ramaphosa’s office stated that reasons for expropriating land can include promoting inclusivity and allowing access to natural resources. The bill would repeal the nation’s Expropriation Act of 1975, which required the state to compensate owners for the land it sought to seize.

The Department of Justice has opened an investigation into Chuck Schumer for threatening Supreme Court justices.
According to The Washington Post, interim D.C. U.S. attorney Edward R. Martin, Jr. is looking to scrutinize Democratic leaders and former Justice Department officials.
Among them is the Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer in connection with comments regarding Trump’s Supreme Court justices, Neil Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh.
During a pro-abortion rally back in 2020, Schumer said that the two justices would “pay the price” for overturning Roe vs Wade, a decision that they eventually handed down two years later.
“I want to tell you, Gorsuch. I want to tell you, Kavanaugh. You have released the whirlwind, and you will pay the price,” Schumer said at the time.

U.S. President Donald Trump is getting his wish that interest rates drop across the world, just not at home where a strong economy and uncertainty over his own policies have set the stage for the Federal Reserve to diverge from its central bank peers.

Trump may be his own worst enemy in his fight against the Fed
Trump has said he wants lower interest rates, but he may be standing in his own way.
His policies, though, are an obstacle the Fed could have to navigate as it adjusts monetary policy.
Fed Chair Jerome Powell sent a clear message this week that central bankers were in no rush to lower rates, with Fed officials opting to pause rate cuts in the first policy meeting of the year.
That seemed to defy pressure from Trump, who said in his address to the World Economic Forum last week that he would demand interest rates be lowered “immediately.”
He added that his policies — including plans to levy steep tariffs on imports from China, Canada, and Mexico — could help renew the US economy.
But those plans could end up being the very obstacle the Fed has to navigate this year as it decides what to do with interest rates, and they’re likely the reason the Fed will hit pause until the picture becomes clearer, Wall Street forecasters say.
Economists have warned that Trump’s plan to levy steep tariffs on US imports could stoke inflation, a notion that Trump has pushed back on. The president has said he would lower prices, and he implemented tariffs in his first term without a significant inflation increase.
His tariff plan this time around, though, is far more wide-reaching, explaining why forecasters are more worried about a resurgence of inflation in his second term.

Chicago Mayor’s Office Improperly Blocked Access To Lavish ‘Gift Room’: Inspector General
Chicago’s Inspector General dropped a bombshell report revealing that Mayor Brandon Johnson’s office improperly blocked public access to a special room within City Hall containing gifts to the city – including designer handbags, cufflinks, and a personalized Mont Blanc pen.
A new report from Inspector General Deborah Witzburg’s office concludes that Johnson’s office violated a city ethics policy requiring that any gifts valued at more than $50 and “accepted on behalf of the city” be logged into a book that is made available to the public on the 5th floor of City Hall.
But when two undercover investigators from the IG’s office visited the mayor’s office last June, they were denied access to the log, and instead told to file a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request to see it.
Then, when the IG’s office filed a FOIA request, the mayor’s office refused to respond to it on time – only to provide an incomplete spreadsheet of the gifts more than a month after the request was filed.
Next, the IG’s office showed up in person unannounced to see the gift log, only to be told by Johnson’s staffers that they were told by the city’s Law Department that the IG must make an appointment to access the gift room. According to the report, the city’s municipal code requires all city employees to cooperate with IG investigations, including making any records available “as soon as practicable.”

FCC Chairman Brendan Carr is launching an investigation into NPR and PBS he says will help lawmakers decide whether the government will continue funding the public news organizations.
In a Wednesday letter to both outlets, Carr said the inquiry would focus on whether the news organizations’ member stations violated government rules by recognizing financial sponsors on air.
According to Carr, NPR and PBS stations operate as noncommercial broadcast organizations, but that they may be airing announcements that ‘cross the line.”
“I am concerned that NPR and PBS broadcasts could be violating federal law by airing commercials. In particular, it is possible that NPR and PBS member stations are broadcasting underwriting announcements that cross the line into prohibited commercial advertisements,” Carr wrote.

North Korean Troops Retreat From Kursk Front Line After Heavy Losses: NYT
Anonymous Ukrainian and US officials have told The NY Times that North Korean soldiers fighting for Russia have been pulled from the front lines in Kursk region, where Ukraine has waged a cross-border ground offensive since last August, after suffering heavy losses.
It was widely reported that some 11,000 North Koreans were sent by Kim John Un to assist the Russian army. So far, reports suggest the foreign troops have only been deployed in southern Russian territory which is partially occupied by Ukraine forces.

US President Donald Trump’s directive to create an American ‘Iron Dome’ missile defense system is a destabilizing step towards the weaponization of space, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova has said.

As reported earlier, a J6 political prisoner pardoned by Trump was killed by an Indiana police officer on Sunday.
FOX 32 Chicago reported at 4:15 p.m. local time Sunday that 42-year-old Matthew W. Huttle of Hobart, Indiana, was stopped by a Jasper County sheriff’s deputy during a traffic stop near the Pulaski County line. Police say the deputy attempted to arrest Huttle after stopping him, but the civilian resisted.
Officers said Huttle had a gun but have not said where it was or if it was in his possession when he was killed.
The officer responded by firing his weapon and killing Huttle following a supposed fight.
Investigative journalist Yehuda Miller and The Gateway Pundit reached out to Jasper County Sheriff Williamson following the news of the deadly shooting. We FOIAed video of the incident from the police cameras.

Trump’s Executive Orders Are Key To DOGE’s Success
President Trump has just been sworn in, but his administration has already taken steps to promote a robust and efficient administrative state. By implementing four executive orders aimed at expanding the scope of Schedule F and reforming the federal hiring system, Trump can expediently implement the Department of Government Efficiency’s rulemaking and budget recommendations.
The Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) is a temporary advisory committee tasked with implementing Trump’s “18-month DOGE agenda” of maximizing efficiency and productivity in the federal government. Because DOGE cannot execute its efficiency agenda, the president is responsible for implementing DOGE’s recommendations. DOGE will likely recommend numerous administrative rule changes and budget cuts to reduce the federal bureaucracy’s size, which means that Trump needs bureaucrats who will faithfully implement the recommendations and leeway to fire those who try to stall the department’s progress or who DOGE’s report finds are wasteful. President Trump set himself up to enforce DOGE’s recommendations by enacting four executive orders.

First, Trump signed an order resuscitating and expanding the scope of Schedule F. In his first administration, Schedule F was a job classification that removed civil service protections from policy-making positions within the executive department and allowed for streamlined hiring and firing of those positions. Biden never implemented Schedule F, instead repealing Trump’s executive order that implemented the Schedule. Trump revived Schedule F on his first day, so it should be fully implemented by the time DOGE releases initial recommendations.
Moreover, Trump expanded Schedule F’s scope to include all “policy/career” positions, allowing DOGE to fully examine the civil service. The order also requires all bureaucrats to implement the administration’s policies faithfully, deeming it a fireable offense if they refuse.
In addition to this order, Trump signed a second order eliminating removal protections for Career Senior Executive Service (SES) officials and requiring them to adopt performance plans. SES officials oversee vast bureaucracies in 75 federal agencies responsible for making rules that impact millions of Americans. Previously, they were not subject to at-will removal from the president and could only be fired with cause. The president’s executive order removes these protections and subjects SES officials to the same removal requirements lesser bureaucrats are subject to – increasing presidential control over the civil service.
These changes are a lawful exercise of executive power and will allow quick implementation of DOGE’s recommendations. The U.S. Constitution solely vests the president with the executive power – meaning all bureaucrats subject to these executive orders exercise power at the president’s behest. Further, the Supreme Court approved this level of executive control in Myers v. U.S. and Humphrey’s Executor v. U.S., where they held that purely executive officers are subject to presidential removal without good cause. Therefore, courts will likely uphold Schedule F’s revival, increasing executive power over removal.
Schedule F and SES reform will allow Trump to enact DOGE’s policies in two ways. First, his orders allow him to fire bureaucrats which DOGE and department heads deem wasteful or inefficient. Second, these reforms empower Trump and his surrogates to remove civil servants from top to bottom who are intentionally stalling DOGE’s implementation.
These executive orders are essential to DOGE’s success. Enacting these orders will create a proficient, highly skilled, merit-based civil service that efficiently implements DOGE’s recommendations. The result will be a civil service that effectively serves the American people

Many assert that the U.S. Constitution requires the government to provide elementary and secondary education in all circumstances at taxpayer expense to children who are illegal aliens. In support of their assertion, they cite the 1982 United States Supreme Court opinion in Plyler v. Doe, 457 U.S. 202 (1982). They are wrong.
Plyler arose out of a Texas law from 1975 that sought to deny illegal aliens a taxpayer-funded elementary and secondary education. Plyler did not state that illegal aliens are entitled to such an education in all circumstances; it described circumstances under which, presumably, it would be legal for a state to deny illegal aliens a taxpayer-funded elementary and secondary education.

BREAKING: Man arrested at Capitol with Molotov cocktails wanted to kill Treasury Sec Scott Bessent: police
A Massachusetts man who was arrested at the US Capitol on Monday with Molotov cocktails and knives told authorities that he was there to kill Scott Bessent, who was confirmed as Secretary of the Treasury the same day, court documents filed on Tuesday revealed.
According to the affidavit, Ryan Michael “Reily” English approached a Capitol Police Officer on Monday at around 3:12 pm near the South Door of the US Capitol Building and said “I’d like to turn myself in.” English also revealed to the officer that he was in possession of multiple knives and two Molotov cocktails.
English was detained and a search uncovered a folding knife in English’s pants pocket, as well as two “destructive devices” in the inside pockets of his jacket that were constructed of 50 ml bottles of vodka with cloth attached to the top. A lighter was also recovered.

BREAKING: White House Rescinds Federal Aid Freeze Memo
On Wednesday, the Trump administration walked back the Office of Management & Budget (OMB) memo regarding the federal aid freeze announced earlier.

“OMB Memorandum M-25-13 is rescinded. If you have questions about implementing the President’s Executive Orders, please contact your agency General Counsel,” the memo reads.
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt, in a post on X, notes that this was only the rescinding of the OMB memo and that President Trump’s executive orders regarding the freezes and reviews remain in place.

The funding freeze is wide-ranging, although some key items were exempt from the ordered reviews. Food assistance programs, such as SNAP, Head Start funding, and other aid programs are not affected. The freeze does affect programs that President Trump campaigned on ending. This OMB order appears to be the order implementing President Trump’s directions, which according to Press Secretary Leavitt, remain in effect.

The White House later issued a memo appearing to limit the scope of the federal freeze, saying it only encompasses types of programs that may run counter to Trump’s recent executive actions on immigration; foreign aid; climate and energy; gender identity; ending DEI initiatives and preventing federal funding for elective abortions.

Faced with a solid economy and mounting inflation concerns, the U.S. central bank has said it will “move cautiously” on cutting interest rates.
At the Federal Reserve’s final gathering of 2024, Chair Jerome H. Powell announced that the U.S. central bank was embarking on a “new phase” in how it would set interest rates.
The Fed planned to “move cautiously” with cuts going forward, Mr. Powell told reporters at the time, reflecting officials’ thinking that they could afford to be patient with scant signs of an impending recession and lingering inflationary pressures. On Wednesday, the Fed is set to put that approach into action, pressing pause on further reductions for the first time since they began lowering borrowing costs in September.
“There is no compelling reason to cut,” said Loretta Mester, who retired as president of the Cleveland Fed in June. “I would want to see convincing evidence that inflation has resumed moving down and right now, I don’t think we have that.”
