Trump Trolls Trudeau – Bank of Canada Takes Note
US-Canada relations under the Trump Administration are beginning on tumultuous footing. Trump has promised to slap Canada with 25% tariffs on ALL imports if it fails to curb illegal immigration and drug trade from the northern border. Trudeau is now threatening to retaliate with tariffs of his own. The Bank of Canada has factored in these threats in its most recent decision to raise rates by 50 bps to 3.25%.
Bank of Canada Governor Tiff Macklem said that the new US administration presents “a major new uncertainty.” The markets had already priced in rate cuts ahead of the tariff threats, especially as inflation has allegedly reached the 2% target.

Yellen expressed regret over failing to make more progress in narrowing the fiscal deficit during her tenure.
“I am concerned about fiscal sustainability and I am sorry that we haven’t made more progress,” she said adding that “I believe that the deficit needs to be brought down especially now that we’re in an environment of higher interest rates.”
This is really funny for two reasons.
First, it was under Yellen’s watch that the US experienced its biggest debt increase in history. As shown below, Yellen was Fed chair from Oct 2010 until Feb 2014, and then Fed Chair from Feb 2014 until Feb 2018, a period during which she intentionally kept rates at zero for almost the entire duration of her “apolitical” tenure.
In other words, Yellen has personally presided over a gargantuan $15.2 trillion increase in US debt, or about 42% of all US debt ever issued! No one other government official can make even a remotely similar claim.

OF COURSE: Joe Biden Issues Largest Single-Day Clemency for Convicts in Modern American History Just Days After Pardoning Hunter, Crushing Old Clemency Record Held by Obama
Over 1,000 people have unsurprisingly received a get-out-of-jail-free card thanks to Joe Biden just a month before he leaves office.
The Associated Press reported on Thursday that Biden has decided to commute the sentences of about 1500 convicts who were released from prison during the COVID-19 pandemic and placed on home confinement. In addition, Biden also announced he was pardoning 39 people convicted of “non-violent” crimes.
This marks the largest single-day act of clemency in modern American history. Barack Obama previously held the record at 330 right before leaving office in 2017.
Biden argued in a statement that he is honoring America’s tradition as a country that gives out second chances, and these individuals had expressed remorse for their actions.
“America was built on the promise of possibility and second chances,” Biden said in a statement. “As president, I have the great privilege of extending mercy to people who have demonstrated remorse and rehabilitation, restoring opportunity for Americans to participate in daily life and contribute to their communities, and taking steps to remove sentencing disparities for non-violent offenders, especially those convicted of drug offenses.”
Biden also argued that the people he was pardoning had been successfully rehabilitated and claimed the 1,500 people whose sentences he was commuting would have received much lower sentences in today’s America.

So, let’s take a closer look at these three recipients in particular.
First, we have Yanjun Xu, convicted in the Southern District of Ohio of conspiracy to commit economic espionage; conspiracy to commit trade secret theft; attempted economic espionage by theft or fraud; attempted theft of trade secrets by taking or deception, and sentenced in November 2022 to 240 months (20 years) imprisonment. (Xu had been confined since April 2018, so has served approximately six years of the sentence.) Xu’s sentence was commuted to time served, and Xu was to depart the United States and not return.
Next, we have Ji Chaoqun, convicted in the Northern District of Illinois of conspiracy to defraud the United States; impersonating agents of foreign governments; statements or entries generally, and sentenced in January 2023 to 96 months (eight years) imprisonment. (Ji had been confined since September 2018, thus also having served six years of the sentence.) Ji’s sentence was commuted to time served and, like Xu, to depart and remain outside of the United States.
Lastly, there is Shanlin Jin, convicted in the Eastern District of Texas of possession of child pornography, and sentenced in July 2022 to 97 months imprisonment, five years supervised release, and restitution. (Jin had been confined since January 2021.) Like the others, Jin’s sentence was commuted to time served and conditioned on his departing and remaining outside the U.S.

Trump Can End Universal Birthright Citizenship. The Constitution Never Required It.
President-elect Donald Trump has once again promised to “end birthright citizenship” for the U.S.-born children of illegal and nonimmigrant aliens.
But can he do this without amending the Constitution?
Yes, he can—at least according to the original meaning of the 14th Amendment’s citizenship clause,
It’s certainly true that today, the mistaken majority view of the 14th Amendment’s citizenship clause is that it grants what essentially amounts to universal birthright citizenship—in other words, that virtually all children born within the geographical boundaries of the United States are citizens, irrespective of their parents’ immigration status.
It’s also true that the federal government has been abiding by a policy of treating the U.S.-born children of illegal and nonimmigrant aliens as citizens, even though it is not required and is a change from the way the 14th Amendment was applied after it was ratified in July 1868.
nothing in the Citizenship Clause actually requires this practice. In fact, it’s quite the opposite. Supporters of birthright citizenship ignore the second, critical condition in the amendment of being “subject to the jurisdiction” of the United States.
While the citizenship clause eliminated race-based barriers to birthright citizenship, its framers and ratifiers manifestly intended that its language restrict birthright citizenship based on the strength of a person’s relationship to the United States and the lack of a relationship with another nation.
For many decades after the amendment’s ratification, that was precisely how the nation’s courts and constitutional scholars also understood the citizenship clause to work.
The government today doesn’t need to amend the Constitution to restrict citizenship for the U.S.-born children of illegal or nonimmigrant aliens. It can just simply stop abiding by a broad policy of universal birthright citizenship that the Constitution never required in the first place.

President-elect Donald Trump said in an interview that he disagrees “very vehemently” with Ukraine firing US-supplied missiles deep into Russia.
But Trump insisted he would not abandon Ukraine as US support for Kyiv would be key leverage in efforts to bring the war to a close.
Washington has supplied its long-range ATACMS missiles to Ukraine which can penetrate inside Russia, provoking angry retaliation from Moscow which has responded with its new hypersonic missile.

Picatinny Arsenal, a major military contractor for R&D of various technologies has stated that the devices aren’t related to their research, but they have confirmed sighting 11 drones themselves since November. This afternoon, various politicians have stated that the drones being observed in New Jersey are suspected to be of Iranian origin, and that they are being launched from a “mothership” that is operating off the coast. More specifically, most of the information being repeated by authorities indicates that no one knows who is operating the craft, or where they come from, but many have been observed arriving and departing from the coast. Additionally, the craft allegedly do not have any signals being transmitted to them, and the lighting onboard the aircraft turns off when the aircraft is approached.
many eyewitness accounts suggest that these alleged “drones” are identical to a comparatively new type of aircraft, the Pitoval Aero. This is a new type of aircraft that is essentially a very large, manned quadcopter. Pivotal obtained a large Air Force contract to conduct military testing on this platform a few months ago. Based on this information (and eyewitness accounts matching the descriptions of eVTOL aircraft), it’s quite likely that these “drone” sightings are actually manned, single-pilot aircraft that are currently being tested by the US government.

A team of researchers analyzing Pfizer’s clinical trial data has accused the pharmaceutical giant of concealing deaths during its COVID-19 vaccine trials.
Among the allegations is the failure to disclose the death of a Kansas participant who was part of the BNT162b2 vaccine trial. The death reportedly occurred 41 days after the participant received their second vaccine dose.
The accusations stem from a detailed report led by Dr. Jeyanthi Kunadhasan, an anesthetist and perioperative physician, and a member of the DailyClout research team.
The team alleges that Pfizer’s reporting practices during the critical juncture leading to the FDA’s Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) for the vaccine were flawed, with significant delays in documenting serious adverse events, including deaths.
“The Polack paper disclosed six deaths — two in the BNT162b2 arm, and four in the Placebo arm. In the journal article and the EUA approval documentation[9], the six deaths covered the period of July 27, 2020, through November 14, 2020,” Dr. Kunadhasan wrote in a letter sent to Kansas Attorney General Kris Kobach, who filed a lawsuit against Pfizer.

In the IG report released today the DOJ admits to 26 undercover operatives (page 77) working that day inside the Trump protest at the US Capitol.
According to the report – the DOJ admitted that 4 entered the US Capitol and 13 entered the restricted area. This is very likely inaccuarate.
The report found that no official FBI employees participated in the events, but 26 confidential human sources were used. The media are jumping on the part about no FBI employees being present in order to call those who view the FBI as facilitating and coordinating the events of J6 as “conspiracy theorists.” However, the FBI’s use of CHSs is downplayed and dismissed

It’s safe to say January 6 was the largest organized government set up targeting a specific political party in US history.

What Obama fears is that Biden might be persuaded to issue a sweeping set of Deep State pardons to a list that would include various top-level Obama administration officials like former CIA Director John Brennan, former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, and former Attorney General James Comey who potentially could be forced to provide damaging criminal testimony against him.
A presidential pardon does not waive a person’s Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination for future crimes. But a person accepting a pardon (including Brennan, Clapper, Comey, and Hunter Biden, or anyone else so pardoned) can be forced to testify truthfully about the pardoned crimes since they are no longer at risk of prosecution under federal law. Once pardoned, the Fifth Amendment privilege does not apply to giving testimony against others for the pardoned crimes since the pardoned individual no longer needs Fifth Amendment protection from a self-incrimination risk that is no longer relevant.
In other words, just to be clear, please understand that by accepting a pardon, a person has admitted guilt to the pardoned crime, a precedent the Supreme Court established in 1915’s Burdick v. United States. This fact, without any other evidence, gives the DOJ and the FBI a probative cause to start a new investigation by interviewing and interrogating the pardoned person under oath. All a DOJ or FBI official would have to do is to put a piece of paper in front of the pardoned person and ask that person to enumerate all crimes committed, plus requiring the pardoned person to give the names and details of all criminal accomplices involved.

DHS Chief Alejandro Mayorkas Announces Jobs Giveaway — for Migrants
In the final weeks of President Joe Biden’s administration, Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas is announcing a jobs giveaway for newly arrived migrants with work permits.
Mayorkas announced a final rule from the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) that will allow millions of migrants, many of whom have been released into the U.S. interior by the Biden administration, to keep their work permits for up to 540 days when they seek a renewal.
Migrants previously could renew their work permits for 180 days. For years, Democratic mayors had lobbied DHS to extend such automatic employment authorization for migrants. The rule will go into effect on Jan. 13, 2025.

Biden admin quietly renewed controversial $10B Iran sanctions waiver two days after Election Day
The Biden administration quietly extended a sanctions waiver that will grant Iran access to roughly $10 billion from Iraq two days after President-elect Donald Trump’s Election Day victory.
The controversial waiver, which has been repeatedly extended by Secretary of State Antony Blinken despite strong opposition from congressional Republicans, allows the Iranian regime access to funds from Iraq in exchange for electricity purchases.
“On November 7th, the [State Department] did renew Iraq’s electricity waiver for the 23rd time since 2018,” State Department spokesman Vedant Patel confirmed last week.
“It was done so for an additional 120 days,” Patel noted – a time frame that will overlap with the early months of Trump’s second term in office.
Under the conditions of the waiver, Iran will receive nearly $10 billion being held in escrow accounts in Iraq that US officials claim may only be used for humanitarian trade.
However, the waiver extension allows the Iranian regime to transfer the electricity payments to accounts in Oman, which can then be converted to other currencies for the Islamic Republic to purchase non-sanctioned products.

Senate Democrats Move To Deny Trump A Labor Appointment By Installing A Union Patsy
Chuck Schumer recently announced that one of his “highest priorities” is to confirm Joe Biden’s nominees to the National Labor Relations Board before his party loses control of the Senate. He’s slated to make good on that promise on Wednesday, as a cloture vote on an NLRB renomination is scheduled to take place soon.
If Schumer secures another five-year term for NLRB Chair Lauren McFerran, Biden nominees will control the Labor Board until at least August 2026. Union elites are begging Schumer to “Trump-proof” the NLRB because they fear Trump’s appointees might focus on protecting individual workers’ rights instead of giving union officials more power. Big Labor has perpetuated the lie that politicians are only “pro-worker” if they comply with union demands.
Donald Trump erased that lie, winning reelection with unprecedented support from working-class Americans, including union members, while being relentlessly attacked by union officials. Even Teamsters union boss Sean O’Brien, who admitted that nearly 2 out of 3 Teamsters workers support Trump, refused to endorse him.
O’Brien has tried to spin himself as a Trump ally nonetheless, but all that betrays the truth. Like the other union bosses, the Teamsters hierarchy refused to support the former president because he didn’t promise them more power.
Senators should reject Schumer’s last-minute attempt to pack the NLRB and allow Trump to nominate truly pro-worker advocates to the open NLRB positions.

Poll: Majority Say Trump Has Clear Mandate to Enact His Agenda
A majority believe President-elect Donald Trump has a clear mandate to enact his agenda, according to a survey from Rasmussen Reports.
Overall, 55 percent of likely voters said “yes,” the election is a mandate for Trump to enact his policies, but 32 percent said it is not. Another 13 percent are unsure.
A majority of Republicans, 81 percent, and half of independents, 50 percent, believe the election was a mandate for Trump, but a plurality of Democrats, 48 percent, believe it is not.
When asked if Congress should “mainly cooperate with Trump in enacting his agenda,” most likely voters, 53 percent, said it should. Just 36 percent said Congress should oppose his agenda.

Now, YouTube confirmed in an email to Newsweek that it had suspended the account linked to Luigi Mangione, citing violations of the platform’s impersonation policy.
The news outlet reported:
YouTube suspended the account later Monday for “violating our policies covering impersonation, which prohibit content intended to impersonate another person on YouTube,” a company spokesperson told Newsweek in an email.
“The channel’s metadata was updated following widespread reporting of Luigi Mangione’s arrest, including updates made to the channel name and handle,” the spokesperson said. The company said it also terminated three other channels “owned by the suspect, per our Creator Responsibility Guidelines. These channels had not posted content in over 7 months.”
“If you see this, I’m already under arrest,” said a caption in the silent, 84-second clip posted by the account, @PepMangione. The handle matched other social media accounts that belonged to Luigi Mangione, the man who was arrested on Monday. He was arraigned on forgery and weapons charges in Pennsylvania. Mangione has not been charged with Thompson’s murder.

President-elect Donald Trump sent a message to Russian President Vladimir Putin following the collapse of the Assad regime in Syria after Islamist opposition fighters captured Damascus. He called for an immediate cease-fire in Ukraine.
“Assad is gone. He has fled his country,” Trump wrote on Truth Social on the morning of Dec. 8. “His protector, Russia, Russia, Russia, led by Vladimir Putin, was not interested in protecting him any longer. There was no reason for Russia to be there in the first place.”

Last week, Republican Sen. John Kennedy introduced the subtly named “No Propaganda Act.” If enacted, it would end federal funding for America’s public media.
He joined an effort by billionaires Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy, who are heading up an amorphous cost-cutting advisory group for President-elect Donald Trump and have also suggested that support for public media should be eliminated from the federal budget.
Musk’s suggestion and Kennedy’s bill got little press coverage for an understandable reason: It’s nothing new.
This would defund NPR, PBS, their member stations and their primary funding mechanism, the Corporation for Public Broadcasting. Efforts to defund NPR and PBS have been raised by Republicans and successfully batted away by public media defenders with annual regularity for decades.

Daniel Penny was found not guilty of criminally negligent homicide in the death of Jordan Neely during an incident on a New York City subway in 2023.
The jury reached this verdict after more than 24 hours of deliberation across five days.
Penny had pleaded not guilty to charges of second-degree manslaughter and criminally negligent homicide, following an altercation in which he placed Neely in a chokehold.

Something unprecedented just happened in the NATO and EU member country of Romania – a top court on Friday annulled the first round of the country’s presidential election. Essentially there will now be a ‘do over’ election.
The Constitutional Court made the decision even as voting is still underway in the diaspora. “The electoral process for the election of the President of Romania will be resumed in its entirety, with the Government required to set a new date for the election of the President of Romania as well as a new calendar program for carrying out the necessary actions,” the court said in a statement.
The court decided “to annul the entire electoral process for the election of the President of Romania… to ensure the correctness and legality of the electoral process” – in a controversial ruling which has simply never happened.
Calin Georgescu, the widely dubbed ‘far-right’ contender, came out on top in a first round of voting in a ‘shock’ outcome which left political opponents claiming Russian election interference.
Apparently the ‘smoking gun’ is related to mere social media posts on platforms like TikTok. “The Constitutional Court’s unprecedented decision — which is final — came after President Klaus Iohannis declassified intelligence on Wednesday that alleged Russia ran a sprawling campaign comprising thousands of social media accounts to promote Calin Georgescu across platforms like TikTok and Telegram,” The Associated Press details.

The Supreme Court unanimously adopted a code of conduct in November 2023 governing the justices’ behavior.
The new resolution, introduced on Dec. 5 by Sens. Peter Welch (D-Vt.) and Joe Manchin (I-W.Va.), would limit newly appointed justices to 18 years on the bench, and lead to a new opening roughly every two years. To become effective, a constitutional amendment has to be passed by a two-thirds majority of both houses of Congress and ratified by three-quarters of the states.
According to a summary provided by Welch, the amendment would not change the number of sitting justices, currently set at nine by law, and would establish a transition period to ensure vacancies occur at regular intervals.

As Joe Biden‘s agency heads are searching for ways to ‘Trump-proof’ the government just before Inauguration Day, two top Republicans are trying to foil their plans.
Biden’s presidency ends in 45 days and in these final weeks, the Democrat‘s hand-picked agency chiefs have struck long-term union deals that could restrict the next administration’s control.
Republicans are worried that since these deals extend well into President-elect Trump‘s next term.
The Social Security Administration (SSA) chief Martin O’Malley, for example, just approved a deal with the American Federation of Government Employees (AFGE), a federal worker’s union with over a million members, to lock in work from home policies until 2029.
Trump has said he wants to implement policies that get federal workers back into their offices, and that same objective is shared by Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy, the co-leaders of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).
But the SSA’s deal with AFGE, ensures 42,000 of the 60,000 SSA workers (70 percent) get locked into remote working deals. O’Malley departed the SSA immediately after signing the deal.
Now, House Oversight Committee Chair James Comer and incoming DOGE Subommittee Chair Marjorie Taylor Greene are demanding these agencies cease negotiations with unions and turnover documents and files regarding their ‘Trump-proofing’ attempts.
In a letter sent to the chiefs of the 24 executive agencies exclusively obtained by DailyMail.com, Comer and MTG explain they are ‘investigating whether agency leaders are abusing federal labor laws … chiefly to bind the hands of a future President.’

Grocery bills for Thanksgiving dinner hits 40 year low
A new study found that a standard Thanksgiving dinner is cheaper than ever, despite record price jumps in the grocery store since the COVID-19 pandemic.
The cost of this year’s feast was estimated to be $58.08 for ten people, or $5.81 per person, according to a nationwide survey of grocery prices by the American Farm Bureau Federation, a lobbying group that represents millions of farmers.
That’s a five percent drop from last year but still a 19 percent increase since 2019, pointing to stark realities of inflation over the last five years.
However, when adjusted for inflation, this year’s Thanksgiving will be more friendly to Americans’ wallets than it has been for decades.

Gallup: Gun Ownership Higher Among Republican Women Than Democrat Men
The number of Republican women who own guns has jumped from just under one in five to more than three out of ten.

Democrats envision flexing their power in these states to partly block the Trump administration’s policies — for example, by refusing to enforce immigration laws — and to push forward their vision of governance by passing state laws enshrining abortion rights, funding paid leave and putting in place a laundry list of other party priorities.
Some of the planning in blue states began in 2023 as a potential backstop if Mr. Trump won, according to multiple Democrats involved in different efforts. The preparations were largely kept quiet to avoid projecting public doubts about Democrats’ ability to win the election.
The Democratic effort will rely on the work of hundreds of lawyers, who are being recruited to combat Trump administration policies on a range of Democratic priorities. Already, advocacy groups have begun workshopping cases and recruiting potential plaintiffs to challenge expected regulations, laws and administrative actions starting on Day 1.

Senator Mike Rounds Introduces Legislation to “Abolish the Department of Education”
Senator Mike Rounds of South Dakota has introduced a bill that would “abolish the Department of Education” and “for other purposes.” The bill, also referred to as the “Returning Education to Our States Act,” has now been referred to committee for a vote.
If passed, the bill would abolish the Department of Education, except for certain programs. For example, the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act will be transferred to Health and Human Services, along with the Impact Aid program under Title VIII.
The program and authority from the Office of Indian Education will be transferred to the Department of the Interior. Federal Pell Grants will be transferred to the Department of the Treasury, as well as the bulk of the Federal Family Education Loan Programs.
Under Sen. Rounds’ bill, elementary and secondary education grants will also be delegated to the Secretary of the Treasury. The amount funded, dependent on the number of students enrolled in public, private, and home schools in each State, will remain the same as the pervious fiscal year.
On November 19th, President Trump issued a statement naming Linda McMahon, the former Administrator of the Small Business Administration and co-founder of the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE). In that statement, the President stated, “We will send Education BACK TO THE STATES, and Linda will spearhead that effort.”
However, part of the bill introduced by Sen. Rounds not only seems to simply delegate those authorities to another executive bureaucracy, namely the Treasury, but it also has a cut out requiring states receiving block grants to commit to the following:
Submitting student data to the Secretary of Treasury annually, as requested by the Secretary of Treasury and as necessary for executing the program under this section
Completing of annual audits that conform to generally accepted accounting principles, auditing procedures, and safeguarding of funds that conform to the Single Audit Act and submitting the results of such audits to the Secretary of Treasury
Complying with all applicable Federal civil rights laws
While the bill does abolish the Department of Education, as President Trump has expressed great desire in doing, it seems to simply delegate those responsibilities to two other cabinets, the Treasury and Health and Human Services.
Given the current Democrat majority of the Senate currently, and their agenda in continuing the Marxist indoctrination through our education system, it is unlikely this bill will pass.

Death Certificates Reveal FBI ‘Revised’ Murder Stats Still Bogus
As the DOJ’s Bureau of Justice Statistics explains, “The United States uses two national data collection systems to track detailed information on homicides.” These consist of:
death certificates collected by the states and compiled by the CDC.
reports by local law enforcement agencies compiled by the states and aggregated by the FBI, which also generates estimates for agencies that don’t report.
Death certificates have always provided broader and more accurate data than the FBI’s figures, but the gap between them has grown sharply under the Biden administration. This may indicate that local law enforcement agencies, states, and/or the FBI are undercounting murders.
Furthermore, the Biden administration FBI inexplicably revised its pre-Biden murder data all the way back to 2003, elevating the counts in certain years by up to 7%. The FBI made these unprecedented alterations without so much as a footnote to inform the public.
As a result of those factors and others, the gap between murders reported by the FBI and the number of homicides recorded on death certificates has grown from a low of 16 killings in 2003 to an average of 3,711 killings per year during Biden’s presidency:

The FBI is part of the DOJ, which is under the authority of the president. The leaders of the DOJ and FBI are both appointed by the president.

To alert people to the change, the FBI added a footnote next to the year 2018 that says, “The crime figures have been adjusted.”
In 2023, however, the FBI revised its murder data from every prior year back to 2003. While the changes in some years were minimal, others were substantial. For example, the FBI altered its murder estimate for 2003 from 16,528 to 17,716, an increase of 1,188, or 7%.
Illuminating the rarity of those changes, the highlighted figures in the table below show all of the FBI’s revisions of murder data from 2003 to 2022 in reports published from 2004 to 2023. The ICC May Have to Go Through the United States to Arrest Benjamin Netanyahu
When the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and its former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, it may have unwittingly dragged the United States into the scuffle. Under the terms of the Rome Statute, the ICC’s founding treaty, signatories are bound to arrest and extradite anyone targeted by the ICC.
When Russian President Vladimir Putin was served with an ICC arrest warrant in March 2023 (see International Criminal Court Issues Arrest Warrant for Vladimir Putin and Putin’s War, Week 56. Putin Indicted for War Crimes, Xi Visits Moscow, and Sevastopol Attacked for a Third Time), that effectively ended his travel outside minor client states, Vietnam, North Korea, and China.
Where Netanyahu’s situation differs is that the United States has a law requiring the US government “to use all means necessary and appropriate to bring about the release of any person described in subsection (b) who is being detained or imprisoned by, on behalf of, or at the request of the International Criminal Court.” That law, passed in 2002, is called the American Service-Members’ Protection Act. This law was passed in direct response to potential politically driven ICC indictments of US servicemembers serving in Afghanistan. The law was jokingly referred to as The Hague Invasion Act.
How does this help Netanyahu? The “person described in subsection (b)” also includes our formal and informal allies:
COVERED ALLIED PERSONS- The term `covered allied persons’ means military personnel, elected or appointed officials, and other persons employed by or working on behalf of the government of a NATO member country, a major non-NATO ally (including Australia, Egypt, Israel, Japan, Jordan, Argentina, the Republic of Korea, and New Zealand), or Taiwan, for so long as that government is not a party to the International Criminal Court and wishes its officials and other persons working on its behalf to be exempted from the jurisdiction of the International Criminal Court.
Any nation attempting to detain Netanyahu would be in direct confrontation with the US. That might not have been a big deal under Biden, but it will be a big deal under Trump. The loss of trade and diplomatic ties, as well as economic sanctions, will probably make the most hardened virtue-signalling, pro-Hamas Karen think twice before trying to arrest Netanyahu or Gallant.

New York judge grants Trump request to file motion to dismiss case, cancels sentencing indefinitely
Judge Juan Merchan on Friday granted President-elect Donald Trump’s request to file a motion to dismiss the charges in New York v. Trump and removed the sentencing date for the president-elect from the schedule.
Merchan said Trump attorneys have until December 2 to file their motion for dismissal. Merchan said Bragg has until December 9 to respond.
Merchan also confirmed the stay in sentencing for Trump, which was requested by both Trump and Bragg attorneys. The sentencing was scheduled for Nov. 26, but on Friday, Merchan said that date “is adjourned.”

“The Biden administration set greenhouse gas emission standards, which are really just de facto fuel economy standards, that are so stringent that automobile manufacturers cannot meet those standards unless they phase out sales of internal combustion engine vehicles and increase sales of electric vehicles,” Lewis added.

A Jan. 6 U.S. Capitol rioter from Tennessee was convicted Wednesday of plotting to kill Federal Bureau of Investigation agents.
According to the U.S. attorney’s office, Edward Kelley, 35, of Maryville, Tennessee, was “convicted following a three-day trial in the Eastern District of Tennessee of conspiracy to murder federal employees, solicitation to commit a crime of violence, and influencing a federal official by threat.”
He faces up to life in prison at his sentencing in May 2025.
Kelley created a “kill list” of agents and other federal employees who investigated his role in the Jan. 6, 2021, riot at the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, the Justice Department said.
The verdict comes about two weeks after Kelley was convicted on felony charges including assaulting a police officer during the riot, according to The Washington Post.
