CNN Goes All in to Shame Fathers Out of Buying Hunting Rifles for Sons
Less than a week after a 15-year-old girl shot and killed two at a Madison, Wisconsin, Christian school, CNN went all in to shame fathers out of buying hunting rifles for their sons.
In an attempt to bolster their position, CNN said, “For example, the teenage school shooting suspects in Oxford, Michigan, and Winder, Georgia, allegedly used firearms they had received as Christmas gifts from their parents, and those parents have faced criminal charges.”
CNN did not mention that the gun used in the Oxford incident was a handgun, not a hunting rifle, and the gun used in the Winder incident was a gun the father gave the son while allegedly not monitoring the son’s access to it. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation noted that the charges against the father in the Winder incident “stem from [the father] knowingly allowing his son … to possess a weapon.”
CNN concluded the article by repeating the false claim that guns are the “leading cause of death for US children.” This false statement has been pushed by President Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, and numerous Hollywood leftists. The claim is based on numbers which include people of voting age — 18- and 19-year-olds — as “children.”

Letter Signed by ‘National Security Professionals’ Against Tulsi Gabbard Includes Unfounded Smears
A letter signed by nearly 100 “national security professionals” against Tulsi Gabbard as director of national intelligence contains smears rather than facts, according to a closer review by Breitbart News.
The letter was published earlier this month by Foreign Policy 4 America, a left-of-center, Soros-funded organization founded in response to President-elect Donald Trump’s victory over Hillary Clinton in 2016, according to InfluenceWatch.org.
The letter, signed by a number of former Obama and Clinton administration officials and partisan retired military officers, claimed that following Gabbard’s trip to Syria in 2017, she “aligned” herself with Russian and Syrian officials.
It said, “She publicly cast doubt on U.S. intelligence reports and overwhelming public reporting that Assad carried out chemical weapons attacks against Syrian civilians, giving credence to the debunked conspiracy that the attack was staged by agents of the United Kingdom.”
Rather, after her trip to Syria, Gabbard did not say she did not believe Assad carried out the attacks. She said it was “irrelevant” what anyone believed, but that she wanted “evidence and facts.”
She said in an April 7, 2017, interview on CNN:

The letter cites as an example of her casting doubt on whether Assad carried out the attacks was a statement on her website that did not absolve Assad, but rather, said, “There is evidence that both the Syrian government of Bashar al-Assad as well as the armed opposition groups aligned against him have used chemical weapons (CW) during the Syrian war.”

Matt Gaetz Ethics Report Was Released
The congressional ethics investigators said Matt Gaetz violated state laws. He allegedly paid numerous women — including a 17-year-old girl — for sex. He also allegedly purchased and used illegal drugs, including from his Capitol Hill office, according to a final draft of a comprehensive investigative report obtained by CBS News.
“From 2017 to 2020, Representative Gaetz made tens of thousands of dollars in payments to women that the Committee determined were likely in connection with sexual activity and/or drug use,” noted the report, which lists payments totaling more than $90,000 to 12 different women.
The committee said it also received testimony that at a 2017 party, Gaetz twice had sex with “Victim A,” who was 17 years old at the time and had just completed her junior year in high school.
Gaetz has left Congress, and the release is meant to keep him out of government in perpetuity.

Denmark Passes The World’s First ‘Burp Tax’… But This Is No Laughing Matter
Denmark, according to The New York Times (NYT), is going ahead with its livestock “Burp Tax.” Though hotly contested, the Danish government has nevertheless finally settled on levying farmers 300 kroners (~$43) per ton for carbon dioxide emissions, ramping to $106 per ton by 2035. As is the case with many of these farm-targeted green interventions, the action is ludicrously ineffectual at addressing the trumped-up problem, while remarkably effective at further cementing state controls over economic production.
Part of the reason farms (and especially cows) are such fat targets for this kind of statist intervention is that, politically speaking, they are the perfect scapegoat.
The Danish “Burp Tax” is a significant step toward the state ownership of the means of production, and as the history of centrally managed economies shows, it’s not likely to end well.

Available data and recent history contradict one of the key points of the Biden administration’s long-awaited study on liquefied natural gas (LNG) exports and Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm’s attempt to spin the study into something it is not.
The Department of Energy (DOE) released the study on Tuesday, nearly a year after the Biden administration froze approvals for LNG exports to non-free trade countries in January. The paper stops short of determining that more LNG export capacity is not in the public interest, but it suggests that significant growth in exports will drive up domestic natural gas prices despite all available evidence indicating that the exact opposite is true.
“The U.S. Department of Energy’s updated study finds that a wide range of domestic consumers of natural gas – from households to farmers to heavy industry – would face higher prices from increased exports,” Granholm said in a statement addressing her agency’s report. “The study put forward today finds that unfettered exports of LNG would increase wholesale domestic natural gas prices by over 30%. Unconstrained exports of LNG would increase costs for the average American household by well over $100 more per year by 2050.” b

Florida Officials Say Federal Government Has “Stonewalled” State Investigation Into Would-Be Trump Assassin
Florida’s governor and attorney general on Dec. 18 accused the federal government of blocking a state investigation into Ryan Wesley Routh, the man accused of attempting to assassinate then-former President Donald Trump at his Florida golf course.
Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody alleged that the Department of Justice informed the state that it had to suspend its investigation into Routh, citing a federal law about prosecuting crimes against significant public figures.
“It was made known that they intended to shut down our investigation and invoke federal jurisdiction in doing so,” Moody said Dec. 18 at a press conference.
“We didn’t believe it should be interpreted in the way that they suggested.”
At the same time, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis wrote that the federal government has “stonewalled Florida’s investigation of the Trump assassination attempt at every turn” and that he supports Moody’s attempts to move forward in their case against Routh.
“The tide will turn on January 20th and we fully expect that the federal roadblocks will be removed,” he wrote on social media, referring to the date that Trump will take office.
“The would-be assassin needs to face the full force of justice and the people deserve the truth about the defendant’s history, motivations and plan.”

You saw what happened. In the past, Congress wouldn’t have cared that the American people were outraged by a last minute 1547 page boondoggle.
They would have passed it anyway, without fear. But everything has changed. They all saw the election results. They no longer control X. X is the greatest weapon in the narrative war and the American people now control it.
Their greatest fear has become reality. A good government, is a government that fears the American people’s wrath.
What else did Trump accomplish? He set the “standard” going forward of how this “process” is going to work from now on. All bills in the House are now going to be slimmed down version for every bill. We are going to get votes on single topics. And the American people are going to be able to view and decide whether they approve or not, BEFORE it gets voted on.
Every member of Congress is going to personally hear from their constituents BEFORE they vote. All of these “wins” are safeguards that weren’t in place BEFORE Johnson ever became Speaker. Give him some credit. This was Trump’s plan from the beginning. Trump just “RESET” how the House does business going forward and most people are completely missing it.

50% Of Canadian Manufacturers Considering Layoffs If Trump Tariffs Enacted
Nearly half of Canadian manufacturers may freeze hiring or lay off workers if U.S. President-elect Donald Trump imposes 25 percent tariffs on all Canadian goods.
A survey of 300 manufacturers found that 48 percent are considering these moves in response to the proposed tariffs, according to data released Dec. 19 by Canadian Manufacturers and Exporters (CME).
Additionally, 46 percent are considering postponing or cancelling planned capital investments, while 49 percent say they may shift some production to the U.S. if the tariffs are implemented.
“Tariffs will endanger nearly $600 billion in exports to our largest trading partner, two-thirds of which are manufactured goods,” CME president and CEO Dennis Darby said in a press release.
“These findings show why we need an urgent and coordinated response from governments to protect manufacturing businesses, workers, and families.”

A former top journalist at CNN offered up a “confession” and an “apology” on Thursday by admitting that he should have “pushed harder” on covering President Biden’s mental decline.

crime investigators are raising alarming questions about whether the accused shooter, Luigi Mangione, acted alone.
Evidence gathered from CCTV footage, witness statements, and suspect behavior suggests the involvement of at least one accomplice, potentially making this case far more intricate than initially believed.
Despite Mangione’s handwritten manifesto proclaiming he acted alone, investigators like Brian O’Shea, a former U.S. Army intelligence officer and seasoned private investigator, argue otherwise.

Brian believes the meticulous timing of the attack was too precise to be coincidental.

Trump’s Attorneys Allege Juror Misconduct In New York Case
President-Elect Donald Trump’s attorneys have alleged evidence of “grave juror misconduct” in his falsified business records case that has been playing out in New York.
A heavily redacted letter from Dec. 3 and published by the court on Dec. 17 showed Trump’s attorneys stating that the misconduct “violated President Trump’s rights under the federal Constitution and New York law.”
The specific allegations are unclear, and recently released correspondence showed Trump’s attorneys disagreeing with Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s office over how much information to release.
The correspondence was published by the court after the judge, New York Supreme Court Justice Juan Merchan, issued an order and letter rejecting multiple arguments the president-elect had made about immunity.
In a Dec. 16 letter, Merchan said that the court made additional redactions following redactions made by the different parties. He noted, however, that the allegations were unsworn and that unless a claim of juror misconduct was properly filed under New York law, “this Court cannot allow the public filing of unsworn, and admittedly contested statements.”
“To do so,” Merchan said, “would threaten the safety of the jurors. … Should a properly filed claim be submitted, these redactions will be revisited.”
He also indicated a hearing was needed to evaluate the claims but said that the defense opposed having a hearing. “Allegations of juror misconduct should be thoroughly investigated,” Merchan said. “However, this Court is prohibited from deciding such claims on the basis of mere hearsay and conjecture.”
Trump’s attorneys argued in their Dec. 3 letter that their client couldn’t pursue appropriate remedies until the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit had ruled on Trump’s request to remove the case to federal court.
In a letter to Merchan on Dec. 5, Bragg’s office requested that the Dec. 3 letter and related correspondence be kept under seal.

Translation: 23 states unchanged, 1 revised higher… and 25 lower.
By state, the regional Fed bank estimates that largest revision of employment for the nine-month period ended in June will come from California, where it sees a downward revision of 172,700 jobs. Payrolls in Texas may be revised down by 112,100. An extended forecast by the BLS to the third quarter show further declines as well.

the Global Engagement Center’s (GEC) statutory authority would expire this month, on December 23rd,
there is a section that would extend the Global Engagement Center’s existence.
Sec. 301 of the CR amends the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2017 to read “on the date that is 9 years after the date of the enactment of this Act.” Previously, it had read “8 years” but now, with the amendment, the GEC will exist in our bureaucracy for at least one more year.
The GEC, with a staff of approximately 180 employees and a rough budget of $61 million, will continue without any legislated change to their authorities if this is not amended out of the CR, despite suggestions from Senators Chris Murphy and John Cornyn to tighten control of the GEC’s spending and to forbid them from supporting organizations and entities that engage in political activities in the US, as reported by Politico.

Breaking: I can report that the deceased mass shooter at Abundant Life Christian School in Madison, Wisc. is a 15-year-old girl named Natalie Lynn Rupnow. She carried out the mass shooting in the school library, according to a source. She did not identify as trans. The teen girl used the name “Sam” online and the username “crossixir.” She had an extensive online obsession with school shooters and death, particularly the 1999 Columbine High School shooting. Assad Breaks Silence From Moscow, Denies ‘Planned’ Syria Departure
Syria’s toppled leader Bashar al-Assad has made a statement for the first time since fleeing Syria after jihadist groups led by US-designated terror organization Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) took over the country and the army peeled away without a fight.
The statement was posted Monday to the Syrian Presidency’s Telegram account; however, it can’t be independently verified that he personally made the statement. Assad is with his family in Moscow, where they have received asylum from the Russian government.
The posted letter describes that Syria’s collapse was the result of terrorism and that his leaving was not planned. He said he was evacuated to Russia from the Khmeimim airbase on the Syrian coast. This happened the evening of December 8, and the letter further describes that the base was coming under drone attacks and the security situation deteriorating. He suggested he wanted to stay and fight.

A person was arrested after attempting to climb a temporary fence near the White House this morning, according to a U.S. Secret Service spokesperson.
The Secret Service said the person was “quickly taken into custody and arrested for Unlawful Entry.”

Staffers at the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank raking in six-figure, tax-free salaries at both global bodies qualify for free memberships at the Bretton Woods Recreation Center in Maryland, according to documents obtained by The Post.

Stiff initiation fees at the IMF-owned course — which range from $12,000 to $20,000 — are automatically waived for all employees on the payroll of the two institutions, according to the documents, which are not in the public domain.

Well, the U.S. taxpayer has “financial commitments” to the World Bank and the IMF numbering into the hundreds of billions, and American tax dollars (and debt) remain the top “contributor” to both institutions. Mounting Boeing Delays Suggest Trump Won’t Fly In New Air Force One
Aerospace giant Boeing warned earlier this year that supply chain snarls, persistent inflation, and workforce challenges have impacted the construction timeline of two new Air Force One presidential aircraft.
A new report from the Wall Street Journal suggests that continued delays indicate President-elect Donald Trump will not get to fly in the new Boeing 747s during his second term, with the latest projections targeting 2029 or later.

Raskin demands FBI vetting of Trump nominees, details on Epshteyn
Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-Md.) made a series of demands of the Trump transition team, asking for assurances President-elect Trump’s Cabinet nominees will undergo FBI vetting while also requesting details about aide Boris Epshteyn’s alleged profiting from promoting those seeking new posts.
The letter from Raskin, the top Democrat on the House Oversight and Accountability Committee, comes as the Trump team floated using outside firms to do background checks on its nominees, rather than the traditional practice of having the FBI do so.
Raskin said he’s seeking “clear assurance” of using the FBI to perform background checks, noting reports that some nominees are refusing to undergo what he called a “standard practice across administrations.”
The letter asks the transition team to turn over all information on any private firms already contracted by the Trump transition.
The letter lists a suite of possible entanglements faced by various Trump nominees, including Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard’s meeting with now-disposed Syrian leader Bashar Assad and her parroting of Russian talking points. It also notes concerns around Sebastian Gorka, who Trump has tapped to work in the National Security Counsel but who previously had trouble getting a security clearance. And it points to multiple controversy swirling around Pete Hegseth, Trump’s nominee to lead the Department of Defense, as factors that make him “a potential target for compromise or blackmail from foreign governments.”

The flares, which burst from the Sun’s surface at more than one octillion joules, have 100 times more energy than the Carrington Event, the most intense geomagnetic storm ever recorded on Earth, which occurred in 1859. The Carrington Event knocked out telegraph systems and even set fire to paper in offices.
An international team of scientists analysed data from more than 55,000 sun-like stars observed by Nasa’s Kepler space telescope between 2009 and 2013.
