「"But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.」 Amen.　

　When Jesus and His disciples were together, He taught and told parables, and the disciples asked questions. But Jesus was crucified, died, was buried in the tomb, raised the third day, and ascended into heaven. After that, He sent the Holy Spirit, the Helper, who reminded them of His teachings and revealed to them the deeper meaning.

　May we be with the Holy Spirit, the Helper, today.

【ヨハ14:26／新改訳2017】

『しかし、助け主、すなわち、父がわたしの名によってお遣わしになる聖霊は、あなたがたにすべてのことを教え、わたしがあなたがたに話したすべてのことを思い起こさせてくださいます。』

　イエス様と弟子たちは、共にいる時には、イエス様が教え、たとえ話をし、弟子たちが質問をするという形で過ごしていました。でも、イエス様は十字架に架かられ、死んで墓に葬られ、三日目に蘇られ、天に昇って行かれました。その後、助け主聖霊様を送ってくださり、聖霊様に依って、イエス様の教えを想起させ、また、深い意味をも明らかにされたのです。

　今日も、助け主聖霊様と共に過ごされますように・・・。

「Thus Israel saw the great work which the Lord had done in Egypt; so the people feared the Lord, and believed the Lord and His servant Moses.」　

  The "great power" they witnessed was the fact that they crossed the sea of reeds. Egypt was a developed civilization, equipped with everything, except for one thing - freedom. Seeking that freedom, the people escaped from Egypt, but the Egyptian army pursued them from behind. With the sea in front of them and no way out, Moses raised his staff to the heavens, and a miracle occurred. Many people witnessed the work of God right before their eyes.

May I be able to have reverence for God today as well.

【出14:31／新改訳2017】

『イスラエルは、【主】がエジプトに行われた、この大いなる御力を見た。それで民は【主】を恐れ、【主】とそのしもべモーセを信じた。』

　「大いなる御力を見た」のは、葦の海を渡渉した事実だった。エジプトは文明が発達した国だったので、あらゆるものが備わっていましたが、ただ、唯一なかったものは自由だった。それを求めて、エジプトを脱出した民だったが、後ろからエジプトの軍勢が迫ってきており、前は海、絶体絶命の中でモーセが杖を天に上げると、奇跡が起こりました。目の前で多くの人々が神様の御業を見たのです。

　今日も、神様に畏敬の念を持つことができますように・・・。

「For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life.」　Amen.

  “He who sows to his own flesh” refers to one who spends his wealth only on his own desires, while “he who sows to the Spirit” refers to one who financially supports those who teach the Word and spends his wealth for that purpose. As a result, there is a marked difference between reaping destruction and reaping eternal life. And the choice is yours to make.

May you walk in the Lord's path today.

【ガラ6:8／新改訳2017】

『自分の肉に蒔く者は、肉から滅びを刈り取り、御霊に蒔く者は、御霊から永遠のいのちを刈り取るのです。』

　「自分の肉に蒔く者」とは、自分の欲望の為にだけ財産を費やす人の事で、「御霊に蒔く者」とは、み言葉を教える人を経済的に援助し、自分の財産をそのことの為に費やす人の事なのです。結果は、滅びを刈り取るか永遠の命を刈り取るかという格段の違いが生じてくるのです。そして、その選択権は、自分自身に委ねられているのです。

　今日も、主の道に進むことができますように・・・。

「My help comes from the Lord,Who made heaven and earth.」　Amen.

  “I believe in miracles (Psalm 121:1-2)” is the praise of Mr. Chu Kosaka who was called to heaven this year. My best praise is this one. We feel a little uneasy when we are about to depart or take a new step forward. But the author of this psalm tells us to lift up our eyes to the hills and step out, confident of the help we will receive from the Lord.

May we lift up our faces to the Lord and pray today.

【詩121:2／新改訳2017】

『私の助けは【主】から来る。天地を造られたお方から。』

　今年、天に召された小坂忠さんの賛美の中に「私は奇蹟を信じる（詩篇121:1ｰ2)」という賛美があります。私の一番好きな賛美ですが、今まさに旅立とうとする時、新しい一歩を踏み出す時、何だか一抹の不安を覚えるものです。でも、この詩篇の作者は、山に向かって目を上げ、主からの助けという確信を持って、歩み出しなさいと言われるのです。

　今日も、主に向かって顔を上げ、祈る一日となりますように・・・。

「"But go and learn what this means: 'I desire mercy and not sacrifice.' For I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance."」　Amen.

  The Pharisees fasted twice a week, even though the authorized fast days were three days a month. This was not out of truth, but to exalt themselves and to show off to others. Jesus invites not those who think they deserve to be saved, but those who simply ask for His mercy.

And may His mercy be with you today.

【マタ9:13／新改訳2017】

『「わたしが喜びとするのは真実の愛。いけにえではない」とはどういう意味か、行って学びなさい。わたしが来たのは、正しい人を招くためではなく、罪人を招くためです。』

　公認の断食日は月に3日なのに、パリサイ人は、週に二度も断食していました。それは、真実から出たことではなく、自分を高くするため、他人へ見せるためだったのです。イエス様が招く人は、自分は救われて当然だと思っている人ではなく、イエス様にただただ憐れみを願っている人なのです。

　今日も、主の憐れみの中で過ごされますように・・・。
