『愚かな者は感情のすべてをぶちまけ、

　知恵のある人はそれを内に収める。』

　怒りをぶちまけた結果、自分の感情も他人の感情も壊してしまう事が多々あります。ある人はこのように言いました。「怒りの感情が出てきたら、三日我慢、それでも治まらなかったら、三月我慢、それでも駄目だったら三年我慢、それでも我慢できなかったら、まあ、怒ってもいいでしょう。」

怒りを上手にコントロールできれば、人の上に立つことができるのです。愛と信仰があれば、怒りを内側でうまく消化できるようになるのです。

　今日も、主の愛の中で過ごせますように・・・。　

「Scoffers set a city aflame,

　But wise men turn away wrath.」　Amen.

　It indicates that those who mock and slander can have a negative impact on those around them and bring people into discord and confusion. On the other hand, it states that a person of wisdom has the ability to restrain himself, control his anger, and mitigate conflict. We should watch what we say and do in our daily lives and build better relationships with others.　

　May we be faithful to the Word of the Lord today....

『嘲る者たちは町を騒がし、

　知恵のある人たちは怒りを鎮める。』

　あざけりや誹謗中傷を行う者は、周囲に悪影響を与え、人々を不和や混乱の中に巻き込むことができるということを示しています。一方、知恵のある人は自制し、怒りを抑え、争いを和らげる力を持っているということを述べています。普段の生活の中で自分の言動に注意し、より良い人間関係を築きあげたいものですね。　

　今日も、主のみ言葉に忠実でありますように・・・。

「A man who flatters his neighbor

　Spreads a net for his feet.」　Amen.

　At the bottom of the heart of the person who is flattered is this thought. They lie with impunity, they look to gain favor, and they think that they are taking advantage of others. But it will come back to you. (Proverbs 26:27) ”Whoever digs a pit will fall into it,And he who rolls a stone will have it roll back on him.” An attitude of seeing the beauty and strengths of others will improve our relationships.

　May we continue to see our neighbors with the eyes of the Lord today....

『隣人にへつらう者は、

　自分の足もとに網を張る。』

　へつらう人の心の底には、こんな思いがあることと思われます。平気でうそをつく、顔色をうかがう、相手を利用しようと考えている。でも、それは、自分に返って来るのです。(箴言26:27)「　

穴を掘る者は、自分がその穴に陥り、石を転がす者は、自分の上にそれを転がす。」相手の美点や長所を見ていく態度が人間関係を良くしていくものです。

　今日も、主の目で隣人を見ることができますように・・・。　

「The king establishes the land by justice,

　But he who receives bribes overthrows it.」　Amen.

One of the reasons for the division between Northern Israel and Southern Judah was the heavy taxation imposed by Solomon's successor, Rehoboam. It is important to know where a ruler's face is turned. A king who rules for his own greed will destroy a nation, while a king who rules righteously for the people will bring happiness. (Proverbs 14:34) “Righteousness exalts a nation,But sin is a reproach to any people.”

　May we listen to the Lord's will today....

『正義によって王は国を建てる。

　重税を取る者は国を壊す。』

　北イスラエルと南ユダに分裂した要因の一つに、ソロモンの後継者レハブアムが重税を課した事によるものでした。為政者の顔がどこを向いているかは大事な事です。自分の欲望の為に治める王は、国を滅ぼし、人民の為に正しく治める王は、幸福をもたらすというのです。(箴言14:34）「正義は国を高め、罪は国民を辱める。」

　今日も、主の御心に耳を傾けることができますように・・・。　

「He who is often rebuked, and hardens his neck,

　Will suddenly be destroyed, and that without remedy.」 Amen.

The Israelites were a nubile people. How many times did they turn away from, resist, and disobey God? But this is the Abrahamic Covenant, an unconditional covenant. God unilaterally chose Abraham, and there are no conditions on Abraham's part. That is why, until now, the Israelites have been protected no matter what happens to them.God speaks to us in a thin voice. The Lord's blessing awaits us when we listen to Him honestly without hardening our hearts.

　May we walk in His blessings today....

『叱責されても、なお、うなじを固くする者は、

　突然打ち砕かれて、癒やされることがない。』

　イスラエルの民はうなじの強い民でした。何度神様から離れ、抗い、背いたことでしょう。でも、これはアブラハム契約で無条件契約です。神様の方で一方的にアブラハムを選び、アブラハムの方には何の条件もないのです。だから、今まで、イスラエルの民がどうあろうと守られているのです。

神様は、私たちに細き声で語られます。心を堅くしないで、素直に聞き入れる時に、主の祝福が待ってるのです。

　今日も、主の祝福のうちに歩むことができますように・・・。

「He who gives to the poor will not lack,

　But he who hides his eyes will have many curses.」　Amen.

　The Dead Sea became a sea of death where no living creature could live because it only took in and did not let out anywhere. Someone once said, “The last thing a person leaves behind is not what he collects, but what he gives. We have not brought anything into the world, and we cannot bring anything out. Those to whom God gives blessings are those who give generously.

　May we spend today in the grace of the Lord....
