「He who covers a transgression seeks love,

　But he who repeats a matter separates friends.」Amen.

On the cross, Jesus did not say, "I am your substitute" or "I know all your sins." He simply went to the cross and saved us. In Jesus' eyes, our sins, stains, and disobedience would have been obvious. His agape love is what keeps us alive today.

　May we spend today in His love....

『愛を追い求める者は背きの罪をおおう。

　同じことを蒸し返す者は親しい友を離れさせる。』

　イエス様は、十字架の上で、「お前の身代わりだからな」とも「お前の罪はすべて知っているぞ」とも言いませんでした。ただ淡々と十字架にかかり、私たちを救ってくださったのです。イエス様の目には、私たちの罪や汚れや背きなどは一目瞭然だったことでしょう。そのアガペーの愛によって、私たちは今生かされているのです。

　今日も、主の愛の中で過ごすことができますように・・・。　　

「Children's children are the crown of old men,

　And the glory of children is their father.」Amen.

Seeing our grandchildren is proof that we are living long. Longevity is a blessing and honor from the Lord. "the glory of children is their father" means that fathers should be respected by their children and be a source of pride to others. Walking with the Lord is the quickest way to approach the Word of God.

　May we walk with the Lord today.

『孫たちは老人の冠。

　父祖たちは子らの栄え。』

　孫たちを見るという事は、長生きしている証拠なのです。長生きは、主からの祝福であり、誉れなのです。「父祖たちは子らの栄え」とは、裏を返せば、父は、子どもたちから尊敬され、他人に誇る事のできるような存在でなければならないという事なのです。主と共に歩む事がみ言葉に近づく早道なのです。

　今日も、主と共に歩む事ができますように・・・。

「The refining pot is for silver and the furnace for gold,

　But the Lord tests the hearts.」Amen.

  To distinguish the real from the fake, one must always be in contact with the real thing, but at this time there were counterfeit silver and gold items on the market. To test them, crucibles and furnaces were prepared. The real thing was the one that did not burn or melt, but came out shining and pure. The human heart also has a false heart, a fake heart. God tests our hearts in the furnace at the end of our lives. We want to have a genuine heart.

　May we spend today in the crucible of God's love....

『銀にはるつぼ、金には炉、

　人の心を試すのは【主】。』

本物と偽物を見分けるには、常に本物に触れておく必要がありますが、この当時、銀や金のまがい物が出回っていたようです。それを試す為にるつぼや炉が用意されていました。その中で、燃えることなく溶けることなく、輝きを増し、純粋なものとなって出てくるのが本物だったのです。人の心も偽りの心、にせの心があります。神様は、人生の最後で私たちの心を炉の中で試されるのです。本物の心を持ちたいものです。

　今日も、神の愛のるつぼの中で過ごされますように・・・。　

「Better is a dry morsel with quietness,

　Than a house full of feasting with strife.」Amen.

 These are the words of King Solomon. He was a king, so there must have been no shortage of lavish palaces, beautiful women, and delicious food. But he had 700 queens and 300 concubines. The Bible says that his wives turned his heart against him. His surroundings would have been filled with strife. It is best to live in God's peace, even if you are poor.

　May we live in His peace today....

『乾いたパンが一切れあって平穏なのは、

　ごちそうと争いに満ちた家にまさる。』

　これは、ソロモン王の言葉です。彼は王様ですから、贅沢な宮殿、美しい女性、美味しい食卓には事欠かなかった事でしょう。しかし、彼には七百人の王妃、三百人の側女がいました。そして、その妻たちが彼の心を転じたと聖書に書かれています。彼の周りは、争いで満ちていたことでしょう。貧しくても神の平和の中で暮らすのが一番です。

　今日も、主の平和の中で過ごせますように・・・。　

「The lot is cast into the lap,

　But its every decision is from the Lord.」Amen.

Lotteries are supposed to be accidental, but even these are said to be controlled by God. It also says (Proverbs 18:18), "The lot is cast into the lap,But its every decision is from the Lord."  Humanly speaking, it takes a lot of courage to entrust major issues to lots, but at that time, we may have no choice but to trust in the Lord and cast lots.

　May today be another day of trusting in the Lord....

『くじは膝に投げられるが、

　そのすべての決定は【主】から来る。』

　くじは、偶然のものと思われますが、それさえも神が支配しておられるというのです。また、（箴 18:18）「くじは争いをやめさせ、強い者の間に決着をつける。」とも書かれてあります。人間的には、大きな問題をくじに委ねることは、非常に勇気がいることですが、その時には、主に信頼して、くじを引くしかないのかもしれませんね。

　今日も、主に信頼を寄せる一日となりますように・・・。
