「Only in the land of Goshen,

　where the children of Israel were,

　there was no hail.」　　Amen.

　The Israelites were given the land of Goshen and were within God's protection. We read in the Book of Revelation. “but only those men who do not have the seal of God on their foreheads.” and those who believed in God were protected from the harm of the locusts. The good wheat and the poisoned wheat grow together, but at the time of the end, the poisoned wheat will be burned and disposed of. Those who believe in God will be protected under the shadow of His wings.

　May we walk in His protection today....

『ただ、

　イスラエルの子らが住むゴシェンの地には、

　雹は降らなかった。』

　イスラエルの民は、ゴシェンの地を与えられ、神の守りの内にありました。黙示録の中にも、このように書かれています。「額に神の印を持たない人たちには加えてよい」、神を信じる人たちは、いなごの害から守られたのです。良い麦も毒麦も一緒に育ちますが、終わりの時には、毒麦は焼かれて処分されてしまうのです。神を信じる者は、その御翼の陰で守られるのです。

　今日も、主の守りの内に歩むことができますように・・・。

「"I will make a difference

　between My people and your people.

　Tomorrow this sign shall be."」　Amen.

　The plagues against Pharaoh had been brought down one after another, wreaking havoc in the land of Egypt. But the land of Goshen, where the Israelites lived, was at peace. There is a difference between those who believe in the cross, burial, and resurrection, and those who do not believe in them, in their hearts. God makes a distinction, and He gives His indescribable peace to those who believe in Him.　

　May you live in the peace of the Lord today....

『わたしは、

　わたしの民をあなたの民と区別して、

　贖いをする。

　明日、このしるしが起こる。』

　ファラオに対する災禍は次々と下されて、エジプトの地は大混乱をきたしていました。でも、イスラエルの民が住むゴシェンの地は平穏そのものでした。十字架も埋葬も復活も、信じる者と信じない者とでは、その心の持ちようでは雲泥の差があります。神様は区別されて、神様を信じる者には、得も言われぬ平安を与えて下さるのです。　

　今日も、主の平安の中で過ごせますように・・・。

『5:5 同じように、若い人たちよ、長老たちに従いなさい。みな互いに謙遜を身に着けなさい。「神は高ぶる者には敵対し、へりくだった者には恵みを与えられる」のです。5:6 ですから、あなたがたは神の力強い御手の下にへりくだりなさい。神は、ちょうど良い時に、あなたがたを高く上げてくださいます。5:7 あなたがたの思い煩いを、いっさい神にゆだねなさい。神があなたがたのことを心配してくださるからです。5:8 身を慎み、目を覚ましていなさい。あなたがたの敵である悪魔が、吼えたける獅子のように、だれかを食い尽くそうと探し回っています。5:9 堅く信仰に立って、この悪魔に対抗しなさい。ご存じのように、世界中で、あなたがたの兄弟たちが同じ苦難を通ってきているのです。5:10 あらゆる恵みに満ちた神、すなわち、あなたがたをキリストにあって永遠の栄光の中に招き入れてくださった神ご自身が、あなたがたをしばらくの苦しみの後で回復させ、堅く立たせ、強くし、不動の者としてくださいます。5:11 どうか、神のご支配が世々限りなくありますように。アーメン。』

私たちの人生には、喜びもあれば悲しみもあります。順境の時もあれば逆境の時もあります。健康な時もあれば病の時もあります。神様は、一切を主に委ねなさいと言われるのです。そこには、平安の港へと導く神の御手があるからです。私たちが、主の前でへりくだって、謙遜になって、従っていくと、目の前に明るい展望が拡がっていくのです。

お祈りします。

愛する天のお父様、み名を崇め感謝します。私たちが人生を歩いて行くと、不安な出来事がたくさんやってきます。そんな時に、不安の山を前にして、心が千路に乱れることなく、平安の中で過ごすことができますようにお導き願います。不安の山だけを見ることなく、天を見上げて、信仰の創始者であり完成者なるイエス様見て、祈り続ける事ができますようにお助け願います。この祈りを主イエス・キリストのお名前によってお祈り致します。　　アーメン。

「"And the Egyptians shall know that I am the Lord,

　when I stretch out My hand on Egypt

　and bring out the children of Israel from among them."」　Amen.

　The Lord's work delivered the Israelites from Egypt. It was an experience for the Israelites that showed them clearly that the Lord is indeed present. Even after such an experience, when we suffer, we grumble. Is it human nature? It is a repeating pattern of people's suffering, cries to God, divine intervention, and then peace. At every point, God is with us, close to us.

　May we spend today with Him....

『わたしが手をエジプトの上に伸ばし、

　イスラエルの子らを彼らのただ中から導き出すとき、

　エジプトは、わたしが【主】であることを知る。』

　主の御業がイスラエルの民をエジプトから救いだしました。それは、イスラエルの民にとっては、主が確かにおられるということをまざまざと見せつけられる体験でありました。そんな体験をしていても、苦しくなると不平不満が出て来るのです。人間の性なんでしょうか。人々の苦難、神への叫び、神の介入、そして平安というパターンの繰り返しなのです。どの時点でも、神は私たちの近くに共におられるのです。

　今日も、主と共に過すことができますように・・・。　

「"Therefore say to the children of Israel:

　'I am the Lord; I will bring you out from under

　the burdens of the Egyptians,

　I will rescue you from their bondage,

　and I will redeem you with an outstretched arm

　and with great judgments.」　Amen.

It is often in times of hardship that we cry out to God. In times of favorable circumstances and in times of abundant harvest, gratitude occurs, but we do not call desperately for God's help. But when we despair of mankind, despair of our environment, and despair of our future, we are compelled to turn to God. When we call out to heaven from the depths of the well, we hear His voice saying, “I am the Lord, I will deliver you.”

　May we listen to the voice of the Lord today...

『それゆえ、イスラエルの子らに言え。

　『わたしは【主】である。わたしはあなたがたを

　エジプトの苦役から導き出す。

　あなたがたを重い労働から救い出し、

　伸ばされた腕と大いなるさばきによって贖う。』

　神様に叫び求めるのは、苦難の時が多いのです。順境の時や豊穣の時には、感謝の念は起こりますが、神様の助けを必死に呼ぶことはありません。しかし、人間にも絶望し、環境にも絶望し、未来にも絶望した時には、神に頼らざるを得ないのです。井戸の深い淵から天に向かって呼ばわると、「わたしは主、わたしはあなたを救いだす」という声が聞こえてくるのです。

　今日も、主の声に耳を傾けることができますように・・・。　

「So Moses returned to the Lord and said,

　"Lord, why have You brought trouble on this people?

　Why is it You have sent me?」　Amen.

God called Moses to go to Egypt and stand before Pharaoh, but the situation only worsened. The people grumbled against Moses, and Moses also questioned God. When we don't see results from our efforts, we tend to become frustrated. But God's time is different from man's time. God's thoughts and man's thoughts are also different. On the human side, all we can do is pray and wait.

　Today, too, may we be mindful of the Lord's will....
