『知恵の右の手には長寿があり、

　左の手には富と誉れがある。』

　旧約時代は、「長寿」も「富」も「誉れ」も神様の祝福のしるしでした。従って、神様の知恵を持って生きていくと、両手に花という事なんですね。新約時代になると、霊的な祝福が強調されるようになりました。右は神の権威や力を表しますし、左は弱さや軽さを表す場合もあります。しかし、文脈の中で捉えるのが良いのではないでしょうか。

　今日も、神の祝福で満たされますように・・・。　

『知恵で得るものは金で得るものにまさり、

　その収穫は黄金にまさるからだ。』

　最近は、物価が高騰し、お金の値打ちを信用できず、金を保有する人が増えているそうです。ここで知恵で得るものは金で得るものよりもまさっているというのです。金を保有していると、本物だろうかという不安、盗まれはしないかという不安、争いが起きるのではないかという不安がつきまといます。でも、神からの知恵は、安心、力、幸福、希望を与えて下さるのです。

　今日も、神の知恵に満たされますように・・・。　

「For her proceeds are better than the profits of silver,

　And her gain than fine gold.」Amen.

Recently, prices have skyrocketed, and more and more people are holding gold because they do not trust the value of money. What you get from wisdom is better than what you get from gold. When we hold gold, we are always worried about whether it is real, whether it will be stolen, and whether it will cause conflicts. But wisdom from God gives us security, strength, happiness, and hope.

　May we be filled with God's wisdom today....

「Happy is the man who finds wisdom,

　And the man who gains understanding;」　Amen.

 God's wisdom is grand and far-reaching. He created this world and man through His Word. However, man has fallen away from God and fallen into a world of sin. In order to save them, God sent His only begotten Son, Jesus, to the world, crucified Him on the cross, and saved us through His death. And He made plans to come again and spend time with us in the New Heaven and the New Earth, and He is now steadily advancing. Blessed are those who know and accept this.

　May we ponder the wisdom of the Lord today....

『幸いなことよ、知恵を見出す人、

　英知をいただく人は。』

　神の知恵は、壮大で遠大なるものです。み言葉によってこの世界を造り、人を造りました。しかし、人は神から離れ、罪の世界へ陥りました。その人を救う為に、神は御ひとり子なるイエス様をこの世に遣わし、十字架に架け、その死によって私たちを救いました。そして、やがて再び来られ、新天新地の中で私たちと共に過ごすように計画を立てられ、今、着々と進められているのです。このことを知り、受け入れている人は幸いな人なのです。

　今日も、主の知恵に思いを馳せることができますように・・・。　

「For whom the Lord loves He corrects,

　Just as a father the son in whom he delights.」Amen.

Parents scold their children. A boss scolds his subordinate. A teacher scolds a student. It has become difficult for both the scold and the scolded. This is because there is a lack of love. Heavenly Father loves us. That is why He rebukes us. "If you go down that road, perdition awaits you. Walk this way, go this way," He says in our ears. We do not want to miss that small, small voice.

　May we hear His voice today....

『父がいとしい子を叱るように、

　【主】は愛する者を叱る。』

　親が子を叱る。上司が部下を叱る。先生が生徒を叱る。叱る方も叱られる方も難しい時代になってきました。そこに愛の欠如があるからです。天の父なる神様は、私たちを愛しています。だから、叱るのです。「その道を進むと滅びが待っているよ。この道を歩め、この道に進め」と私たちの耳元で語ってくださるのです。その細き小さき声を聞き逃したくないものです。

　今日も、主の御声を聞くことができますように・・・。

「My son, do not despise the chastening of the Lord,

　Nor detest His correction;」Amen.

Chastisement and reprimand are not nice. We want to avoid them if at all possible. But the Bible says,"Ｄo not despise" and "Nor detest" There are those who accept complaints with open arms, those who rebel and bite back, and those who show their capacity by asking if there is anything else they can do. In my case, it is case by case, but I do not have a large capacity. But I have become aware of it, whether I can do it or not.

　May we listen to the Word of the Lord today....

『わが子よ、【主】の懲らしめを拒むな。

　その叱責を嫌うな。』

　「懲らしめ」や「叱責」は、嫌なものです。できれば避けたいものです。でも、聖書では、

「拒むな」、「嫌うな」と言うのです。「苦情」を言われた時に、素直に受け入れる人、反発して食いかかる人、他にありませんかと器の大きさを見せる人、いろいろですが、あなたはどうでしょう。私の場合は、ケースバイケースですが、器の大きさはありません。でも、出来る出来ないは別にして、意識だけは持つようになりました。

　今日も、主のみ言葉に耳を傾けることができますように・・・。　

「So your barns will be filled with plenty,

　And your vats will overflow with new wine.」Amen.

The condition under which our storehouse will be filled is stated in verse 9. It says, "Praise the Lord with our possessions and the firstfruits of our harvest." This is not a religion of benefits where we seek only our own desires and hope that they will be fulfilled. Even if it is not, when we listen to God's Word properly, remember the feeling of being loved by God, and pray constantly, we will naturally be satisfied.

　May we spend today worshipping the Lord....
