「Let them praise the name of the Lord,

　For He commanded and they were created.」　　Amen.

　The sun rises in the morning and sets in the evening. The moon repeats the new moon and the full moon without fail. Spring, summer, autumn, and winter are the four seasons of Japan, and they repeat in sequence without being overtaken. It is indeed a wonder. It is somewhat unconvincing to hear that the ancestors of human beings were monkeys, but when I hear that God the Creator created them with a purpose, it makes sense. When we think that God created everything, everything makes sense. Therefore, all we have to do is to thank God.

　May we simply thank the Lord today....

「Praise the Lord!

　Praise the Lord from the heavens;

　Praise Him in the heights!」　Amen.

　Ultimately, all I can do is to thank God for His grace and praise Him. I cannot thank Him enough for saving such a sinful person. But I have nothing to give back. I have no money. I have no ability. I have no power. I have no connections. I have no information. We have nothing to give back, but we can praise God.

　May we praise the Lord today....

『ハレルヤ。

　天において【主】をほめたたえよ。

　いと高き所で　主をほめたたえよ。』

　最終的に私たちが成すべきことは、神様の恵みに感謝し、神様を賛美する事しかできないのです。こんな罪深い者を救ってくださり、感謝しても感謝しても、感謝しきれません。でも、お返しできるものは何もないのです。お金もありません。能力もありません。力もありません。人脈もありません。情報力もありません。何もお返しはできませんが、神を褒めたたえることはできるのです。

　今日も、主を賛美することができますように・・・。　

He sends out His command to the earth;

His word runs very swiftly.   Amen.

When God said, “Let there be light!” and light arose. Man became a living being with God's breath in him. Everything is under God's control. It is in God's hand that I was born, live, and die in this time period. In the long history of human beings, my life is nothing. I have contributed nothing to the world, and when I go to heaven, there will be nothing left of me. There will be no footprints to be found after my death. But in the Book of Life, my name will be inscribed. It will never disappear.

　May I continue to be attentive to the Word of God today....

『主は地に仰せのことばを送り

　そのみことばは速やかに走る。』

　神様が、「光あれ！」と言ったら、光が生じました。人は、神様の息を吹き入れて生きた者となりました。すべてが神様の支配の下にあるのです。私がこの時代に生まれ、生き、死んでいくのも、神様の御手の中なのです。人間の長い歴史の中で、私の人生は、無きに等しいものです。何の貢献もしていないので、私が天に召されたら、何も残りません。死後も何の足跡も見当たらないことでしょう。でも、命の書には、私の名前が刻まれているのです。消えることはないのです。

　今日も、神の言葉に心を傾けることができますように・・・。

『主は　あなたの地境に平和を置き

　最良の小麦であなたを満たされる。』

　農耕生活を過ごすには、平和の時が長いのが一番です。種を蒔き、水をやるのは人間ですが、育てて下さるのは神様なのです。すべてを備えてくださる神様は最良のもので私たちを満たしてくださるのです。私たちの周りは神様の恵みで満ちています。そのひとつひとつを数える時に、また感謝の気持ちが湧きあがるのです。

　今日も、主の恵みを数えることができますように・・・。　

「He makes peace in your borders,

　And fills you with the finest wheat.」　Amen.

　The best way to spend an agrarian life is to have long periods of peace. It is man who sows the seeds and waters the plants, but it is God who grows them. God, who provides everything, fills us with the best. Our surroundings are filled with God's blessings. When we count each one of them, we can be thankful again.

　May we count the Lord's blessings today as well....

「Praise the Lord, O Jerusalem!

　Praise your God, O Zion!」　Amen.

　This song is said to have been sung at the time when the Israelites returned from the Babylonian captivity and began to rebuild the Temple in Jerusalem. Life in captivity in Babylon must have been unimaginably difficult. And the present condition of the Jerusalem temple in front of them was miserable. But words of praise to the Lord are spelled out. No matter what the situation in front of us is, we should praise the Lord. That is the secret to changing the current situation.

　May today be a day of praising the Lord....

『エルサレムよ　【主】をほめ歌え。

　シオンよ　あなたの神をほめたたえよ。』

　これはバビロン捕囚から戻ってきたイスラエルの人々がエルサレム神殿の再建にとりかかった頃の歌であろうと言われています。バビロンでの捕囚生活は想像を絶する苦しい毎日だったと思われます。そして、目の前のエルサレム神殿の現状は悲惨なものでした。でも、主を褒めたたえる言葉が綴られているのです。自分の目の前の状況がどうあろうと、主を褒めたたえていく。それが現状を変える秘訣でもあるのです。

　今日も、主を褒めたたえる一日となりますように・・・。　

『今日ダビデの町で、あなたがたのために救い主がお生まれになりました。この方こそ主キリストです。』

私たちの罪の重荷を一切合切背負って下さって、私たちの身代わりとなって十字架に架かってくださり、死んで墓に葬られ、三日目に蘇られたイエス様がお生まれになったのを祝うのがクリスマスなのです。この神様からの大いなるプレゼントを受け取るのが幸せへの道なのです。

お祈りします。

愛する天のお父様、み名を崇め感謝します。このアドベントの時期に深くイエス様の到来を噛みしめることができますようにお導き願います。希望の灯、平和の灯、喜びの灯、愛の灯が灯されるたびに、深く深くイエス様の事を知ることができますようにお助け願います。世界が平和に導かれますように、人間が愛に導かれますように、生活が喜びに満たされますように、人生が希望で満たされますように、救い主なるイエス様が私達と共にいてくださいますようにお願いします。今日の礼拝を感謝し、主イエス・キリストのお名前によってお祈り致します。　　アーメン。
