In the Bible, there is a passage known as the "Parable of the Good Samaritan." A man who was attacked by robbers was lying wounded by the roadside. A priest happened to pass by but ignored him and continued on his way. Then, a Levite came by, saw the wounded man, but also chose to pass by without helping. Finally, a Samaritan came along, and unlike the priest and the Levite, he showed genuine care and compassion, tending to the wounded man. People tend to avoid getting involved in troublesome situations, but Jesus, unlike anyone else, was willing to be crucified on the cross in our place.
