In this episode, we consider the readings for Proper 15, Year A:
Genesis 45:1-15 & Psalm 133; Isaiah 56:1,6-8 & Psalm 67; Romans 11:1-2a,29-32; Matthew 15:(10-20)21-28.
We discuss the moment when Joseph tells his brothers who he is, Isaiah's and the Psalmist's description of the all nations being welcomed in the temple of God, Paul's discussion of Gentiles being grafted into Israel, and Jesus' teaching on clean and unclean, as well as who's included in the house of Israel, when He responds to the disciples' demand that He send the Canaanite woman away.
