This week in a very special podcast I sit down with Katy Taylor and Adie Trevelyan. Both local figures in the subcultures of Lincoln to discuss not only their passions and how subcultures have evolved and changed in the past 10 years or so, but also debrief on their recent experience of participating and coming runners up in the BBC Radio Lincolnshire "Be the one" Talent contest.

We talk fame, corporate media, reality TV, Northern soul, Steampunk and try to get to the bottom of how modern media connects with those more isolated; especially within Lincolnshire. We ask if more can be done to support those out there trying to connect as well as if initiatives like "Be the one" hold value for people in the future.

If you're going to try and get me out the house you are going to have to make me comfortable.

Anxiety of social situations is a hard one ot break and one i have always shyed away from. It's not that I dont like the people or want to attend the events but more that the reality is i can be more comfortable and thus happy in my own home.

You're not competing with other people or other interests your simply competing with my cosyness so this week i sit down and try to give some advice on dragging those people out their homes in a more successful way.
