在新加坡，随地丢垃圾的情况恶化。国家环境局去年开出大约 2万零100 张罚单，比前年的 1万4000 张，多了43.5％。除了各种清洁运动之外，新加坡还制定和严厉执行法令。乱丢垃圾的初犯者会被罚款300元，被控的垃圾虫除了罚款，也可能被法庭勒令执行劳改令。
