Zoran Saher, an Actor, Presenter, Host; shares his journey and experience. He emphasis on the importance if hard work and trusting your instincts. He also confesses about his faith in the power of luck.  Zoran had his first film showcased at New York Film Festival, he gained experience in Mumbai for 6 years and lastly worked in Sydney.  He candidly shares about how fast the joy of being successful fades away leaving behind a sense of void, a sense of 'Now What?'. He also talks about his days with dealing with mental health issues.

Being the only female Oud player in concerts and performances which are dominated by men, Amal Waqar and I discuss about dealing with Imposter Syndrome.   We begin the episode with a wonderful performance by her of one of her own composition.  

Diving into her journey, speaking of her multi cultured background, her love for Oud, her understanding of inclusiveness and recognizing the efforts she is putting in to pave the way for many. This is one of my favorite conversations.

About Amal: 

Amal Waqar is a young, dynamic Indo-Omani and Colombian-American oud player, composer, and vocalist. Starting her musical journey at fifteen through events and performances with local groups, including the Oman Oud Hobbyists Association, Amal has experienced multiple metamorphoses over her brief career. Mainly studying and performing Classical Arabic and folk styles until the global pandemic, Amal has now switched her focus to developing her own experimental sound inspired by pop, avant-garde, and Arab folk styles. She holds a Bachelor’s in Music from Berklee College of Music, where she studied privately with oud master Simon Shaheen.

You Are Human with Jagruti is a one stop Podcast that ensures learning from real stories and experiences.  Each Human on this Show shares their real life journey and their beliefs that work as self improvement and self help guides.

Acid Attack is a heinous crime which is prevalent worldwide. In Today's episode with me is the Co-Founder of Chhanv Foundation, Ashish Shukla who along with Alok Dixit started Stop Acid Attacks Campaign nearly a decade ago.  Since then, they have collectively played an integral role in bringing out changes in the legal system, raised voices, fought for justice, gave hope to survivors and their families,  got many treated and have empowered the survivors too. They started a conversation that was not even considered before.  

Along with him, I have Kunti, Farha and Pramodini, three Acid Attack Survivors, who were attacked at young ages by their husbands and lover.  The purpose was to destroy them, but these courageous women are today rising from their burns and working towards achieving their dreams. Their spirit is indeed contagious and their will is unbreakable.   

We all can do our part in helping these survivors by: 

* Talking about this 

* Raising Awareness 

* Contributing to the Fundraiser and the Foundation 

* Empowering the survivors by giving them jobs, teaching them a new skill, assisting them to start their own businesses

In today's episode is with me Oliver Allan, a Brit who has grown up in the Gulf region, spending most of his childhood in Oman.  He talks about a phase wherein he found difficulty in identifying with himself, and how he resonates so well with Arabic culture and Islam. He speaks fluent Arabic and has immersed himself into the local culture. Oliver teaches both Arabic and English as a second language.

"In the end, we are all Stories." I believe in this and so does my guest - Abdullah Al Maawali. He is the founder of 'True Story Tent' - A story telling platform in the Middle East.
