Participating in my "Seven Truths About You Exercise" is perhaps a credible way to learn a lot about yourself, regardless of whether a truth about you is good or bad one. The exercise should provide you with an opportunity to carefully assess and then formulate a plan that mitigates your bad truths while continuing and/or even bettering the good ones. Keep in mind that this is a personal exercise so a requirement to share the information with others is at the discretion of the individual.
After conducting the exercise with 25 family and friends, I found it very interesting that approximately 20% of the group had more bad truths than good ones, so where will you fall in your assessment?
So, do me a favor and hit that play button and find out more about who you really are!

Think about this, between 1999 and 2025, there have been an average of 6 active shooter events in K-12 schools per year, with exactly 55% of the shootings to date happening in high schools.
So, whether rich or poor, popular or unknown, scary or fragile, we live in a world today full of K-12 children who live lives filled with dark thoughts. Whether they are pressured by their parents and families to be the best at everything, by bullies who dislike them because they are considered too smart or by others who look at them as less than, our children can reach levels of darkness that are almost impossible to believe.
Sure, the best ways to mitigate the dark thoughts of our children that continue to lead to mass shootings at our schools simply requires a multi-layered approach by focusing on secure firearm storage, various threat assessment programs and mental health support as defined by Everytown Research and Policy. Well, I imagine there to be other interventions out there that are just as effective, if not even more effective. What say you?
Well, hit that play button and catch a jarring and heart-wrenching story about rich and brilliant identical twins, separate mass shootings that are linked together, what could have already been done by certain agencies to mitigate mass shootings and why a specific individual's last words as it relates to mass shootings should result in major gun reform.

The gift of life is a blessing that everyone on Earth has today, despite the fact that many people live in poverty. God has given us a specific life to live and it is how we live it while we are here that matters and determines whether we shall have eternal life in the end.
So, when we think about life, we must also think about death. We obviously do not know our exact dates of death but there is a lot we can do to prepare our ourselves and our families for such a matter. For instance, I realize that there are millions of people out there, especially those that are husbands, wives, heads of households, who are ill-prepared as far as what to exactly do if they lost a significant family member. People only have a minor clue on how to handle the financial, administrative and physical rigors of death, especially when death all of a sudden happens and you are left trying to figure out what to do. The matter is very difficult because it requires having a thorough understanding of what to do in the case of a loss. In this case, the question is; How many of us truly do have a thorough understanding if death occurred to a significant family member? Well, I can tell you that most of us would be supremely lost on what to do. There is no shame in it because that is just they way it is and has been forever.
So to change the forever way, I submit to everyone to sit down for at least 30 mins and think carefully about what you believe should be done in the event you or a significant family member is lost! Next, take out a notepad and pin or simply get on your computer and create a step-by-step plan from A-Z and work to cover every base needed to ensure your family is secure in the event of a key loss. Do not be in a rush but take your time in putting the plan together because you want to be as thorough as possible. I mean, put every absolute detail you can think of in the plan from every financial detail to every administrative detail to every physical detail. If necessary, go online and Google what can I do to implement a plan in the event you were to lose a significant person to get ideas. I just believe the more details you provide within the plan, the better you or your family members can prepare for the loss.
At the end of the day, it is incumbent upon all of us to better prepare ourselves and our families for a significant loss. So, having a detailed plan in place that covers all of those financial, administrative and physical requirements for such a difficult situation is critical to the lives of those you leave behind!

It takes a lot of discipline and is always important in life to establish, adhere to and maintain an effective daily plan no matter who you are, where you are from and what you have in life. Having such a plan grants peace of mind and flexibility in the event the plan changes at a moment's notice. This is call "The DISCIPLAN!"
So I offer you this 2-day and beyond spiritual challenge to implement within your daily plan or routine. First, when you awake to prepare for the next day's mission, please take the time to say this prayer..."Dear God, Please watch over me as I go through this day. Watch over my family, loved ones and friends and give us all your divine favor to make it to our destinations and back home safely. I give you all the honor, all the glory and all the praise. In your name I pray, amen and amen."
Second, open a bible, choose a particular scripture and read the first 2-3 verses from that scripture. Take a few minutes to see if you can interpret what you have read. If you already have sound knowledge of the bible then ensure you choose a scripture that is challenging for you to ready and interpret certain things. If you lack a lot of biblical knowledge, simply choose a scripture you have some knowledge of or choose one that you may feel comfortable with and do the same as previously mentioned.
Now, as you ready yourself and head out on your journey, make a conscious effort to interpret what you read from the scripture you chose. Once at your destination, find that knowledgeable biblical individual and get their interpretation and compare it to yours.
As you head home and prior to turning in for the evening, think again about what you read and then perhaps go online to a key biblical breakdown source like Bible Hub or Insight for Living Ministries. Go to the scripture verses you read and then compare it to both yours and the individual you shared it with interpretations to see where you are.
On Day 2, conduct the same process from start to finish and again see where you stand with regard to your interpretation of God's word. I assure you that God will give you love and favor when you take the time to purposely read, learn and stay in His word. God will also give you comfort and peace of mind.
At the end of the day, this is simply a 2-day biblical spiritual challenge in hopes that it will eventually become a daily biblical spiritual routine for everyone looking to grow in their spiritual life!

As a member of society, I believe that we are all responsible for looking out for our elderly. I know a lot of people find elderly people to be a problem, but in reality so many of them truly need our help. It doesn't matter the situation, but as someone of sound, mind and body, I am fully aware of situations and times when I can clearly see when someone elderly needs my help. Unfortunately, problems come into play when those of us that see an issue with someone elderly does everything they can to avoid helping out.
Listen, I know that elderly people can be very difficult and opinionated at times, but I also know that I have a responsibility just as we all do to help the elderly when we know that help is needed. I get that we all have a lot going on in life and we have places to be at certain times, but when you intentionally leave an elderly person in a dire situation then I believe that you have absolutely compromised your morals and values. So imagine this...your grandparent is out and about and encounters a difficult situation and no one takes the time to help them until the matter is dire or it is too late. So tell me, how will you feel when you get the call that something bad has happened to the grandparent and no one helped until it was too late to do so. Then remember, you too had the chance to help someone elderly and you chose to skirt around the matter and leave it to someone else to handle. I'm just saying, always remember that our elderly represent the generational-to-generational reason which allows us all to be here today. I can simply tell you that If you don't get that then you have a lot to learn!

One of the greatest moments of my life occurred when I officially became a stepdad on November 16, 2002. I have been blessed with 3 amazing and loving stepchildren, 2 boys, Arturo and Daniel, and 1 girl, Devina, and it is something that I will eternally cherish.
When I knew that I was going into a relationship with someone with children, I immediately understood that the relationship would be centered around the children just as much as it would be around my girlfriend. I also understood that creating a bond with the children both individually and collectively was an important equation within the relationship, especially as the relationship with the family grew more and more serious. I personally took the time to get to know the children and what was important to them and to learn what they personally thought of me and my relationship with their mom. Understand this...kids' feelings can sometimes be very different from one kid to the next. I mean, it can be really difficult if a particular kid has negative feelings toward you being with their mom, so you have to be very understanding and take the time to build a relationship with that child. Of course, it will take some time but children at a point and time will come to understand that their mom or dad is happy within the relationship which can ultimately change they way the child sees you.
Another key matter in the relationship for me was to get to know the biological father of the children. This can be quite difficult depending on the level of relationship your partner has with his or her Ex. If at all possible, you need to step in and allow the moment to result in good vibes on both sides because there is nothing more nerving than having to deal with an Ex who resents you being around their kid and turns every situation into a negative one. In my case, my wife's Ex and I developed a good relationship that has grown into and exceptional one that is worthwhile and our kids love what we have achieved. At the end of the day, becoming a stepdad was amazing and always remember that while you may become a stepparent, you can at some point drop the "step" in stepparent and realize that you are now a parent because those stepchildren are essentially your children for life!

Although I do not believe that people ever go out of their way to effectively plan the exact words they will speak over the course of each day, I do believe that some words, especially culturally sensitive words implemented by a specific race, are simply spoken as part of everyday language for so many people of different races. For instance, we live in a world today in which the use of the "N" word or "Nigga" has truly become commonplace. I have repeatedly heard the word used in daily conversations thousands of times by just as many people of other races as I have heard it used by my very own race; African American or Black.
To further elaborate, I made a stop at a particular store prior to heading back to my brother-in-law's home during my family visit to Northern California a couple of weeks ago. Approximately 10 young gentlemen, 5 of which were African American or Black, were having a jovial conversation while explicitly using the word Nigga repeatedly. As I walked closer toward them on my way into the store, the conversation shifted away from the hard core street talk and into a more normal conversation as though the group was worried that I or someone else might say something. However, I went on into the store, retrieved what I needed to get and made my way out of the store. Funny thing though; just as I made my way out of the store, again the conversation appeared to be one of caution. I have no doubt in my mind that as soon as I returned to my vehicle that the conversation returned back to street talk and the boys carried on with the use of the "N" word. I truly believe that those boys used caution anytime an adult African American or Black person came around primarily because half of the group was from different races and they wanted to avoid any possibility of a confrontation.
So listen, dropping the "er" from the word Nigger and replacing it with an "a" to create the word Nigga has powerfully reduced violent confrontations between Blacks and other races over the years. Don't get me wrong, someone outside of the race using the word Nigga can still result in violence but I have learned over the years that the word Nigga was created as a term of endearment to Black Culture that has now become a word shared amongst other cultures that are intertwined into Black culture. In other words, many Blacks today spend most of their time with other races so the use of the word Nigga has become a word that has excepted use by other cultures outside of the Black culture.
For me, I have primarily used the word Nigga around people of my race for years but have done so in an almost non-existent fashion, but that is just me. I do not get too alarmed when I hear it from people of my race but it does bother me at times when I hear it from people outside my race that use the word religiously. However, I have learned to cope with hearing the word Nigga when it is used by other races that are hanging out with my people of my race. That is just the way things have become. I would love to know your thoughts, feelings, etc., regarding the word. Just to let you know, I never will ever condone the use of the word Nigg(er) because that is when you will absolutely cross the line with me but for the word Nigga, I am not as alarmed when the word is jointly used in conversations among people of my race and other races. How about you?

Imagine living a lifestyle in which your so-called effective daily plan involves always reminding others that your money and power gives you dominion over them. Now, further imagine being told by someone that they are better than you; that your kind does not belong; that you need to get out of here before something bad happens to you; that you are filth and can't measure up to people on my level; that you need to go back to where you came from; that your kind are animals, thieves, bums! Simply put, we live in a world today in which a lot of people truly believe that they are better than others because of their stature. They believe that where and how they live makes them exceptional over others who do not live their specific lifestyle. I mean, it is amazing to think that people are like that but I tell you it is true.
Case in point...There were a number of older teenagers on expensive bikes discussing how much better they were than a couple of other teenagers on their high school baseball team. They spoke candidly about their privileged lives and how they could afford to attend the best summer baseball camps, afford the best top-flight baseball gear and pay for the best coaches. On the other side, there were a couple of teenagers on the team who could not afford to do the same things as their counterparts so they attended much cheaper camps, played with worn equipment and relied on the coaches their parents could afford for them. They never complained about the matter but I can tell that they received a lot of flack from their counterparts simply because they did not live the same affluent lifestyle.
Listen to me, when you believe or are taught to believe that you are better than someone else because you are blessed with more than what someone else has, please just stop right there! Think hard and long about what your belief is and ask yourself why do you feel this way? If you truly believe that your stature makes you so much better than someone else then I'll tell you that you have a problem, especially for those of you who live a privileged life but you did nothing to earn it, but rather you inherited what you have. Always remember that God gave you what you have and He will subtract it from you just as quickly as you receive it! You must treat people, regardless of their stature, with total respect and never try to run over them because you have more. Its great that you have been blessed with more, so share what you have and learn that you are blessed for a reason which is to share what you have with others less privileged than you. If you do this I promise you that God will grant you more, thus giving you even more to share!

Do you have "command presence?" Do you know what it means to have command presence? Listen, having command presence means that you have the ability to project calm, confident, and professional authority that earns trust and respect, rather than inducing fear, particularly in high-stakes situations. It combines poised demeanor, ethical behavior, and effective communication to establish leadership and control, often without needing physical force.
Whether you know it or not, everyone has a certain level of command presence; some more than others. It is simply a powerful inner quality that can be easily noticed in certain people. For instance, former professional football player and legendary Hall of Fame quarterback, Tom Brady has absolute command presence. From the moment he enters the huddle there is no doubt that his command presence allows the other players on the team to perform at a higher level because of his superior leadership skills and intense work ethic. Brady has a confidence level that is second to none and it is easily noticed by everyone, especially if you closely watch him play the game of football on national television. Another individual with total command presence is the amazing Morgan Wallen. I went to my very first country concert and his command presence was as powerful and amazing as anyone I have ever seen.
So trust me, we all have it within us, but the question do you know where to find it within yourself. So many people lack confidence or they are always very low key so you rarely or will never see that command presence. I believe someone will have to challenge that person and work hard to pull out his or her command presence. But, I guarantee that when you do, you will locate the command presence you are looking for and it will surprise you.
At the end of the day, I challenge you to look up the definition of command presence and try to find yours for yourself. I promise you it will bring about a level of confidence you could have never imagined!

No matter who you are or where you are from, going with God is the greatest achievement in life, bar-none! So many times in life we go through difficult challenges and are unsure of which direction to go. Well, if you haven't tried Him for yourself, then give God a shot!
Over the past 5 years, I have watched millions of people around the world pour their lives into Christ and it is one of the greatest things ever! I have watched many powerful, wealthy athletes and mega-star celebrities turn their lives to Christ, and I'm especially excited over the huge number of young teen-aged people giving their lives to Christ as well! I mean, it is so amazing and I too have made the decision to live for Christ because I want to meet Him when this world is over.
Today, I'm very encouraged by what I see, regardless of the fact that we are living in a very chaotic world fueled by so much hatred, racism, suicides, mass shootings, natural disasters, etc. I know without God being first then we simply cannot make it without Him.
The bottom line for us all is to find God before it is too late. He's standing right there waiting for us and all we have to do is take His hand and let Him guide us from darkness into the light! AMEN!

Listen carefully! There has never been a moment in time in which anyone can successfully say that they have lived life without having an effective daily plan. I mean, just think about it: We…
So, to give you insight as to life as it relates to an effective daily plan, here is an important formula for you to remember:
Quality of Life = Questions Asked which = Questions Answered which = Primary + Alternate Decisions Made which ultimately = Effective Daily Planning & Living
So, whether we prepare to start our day or end our day, it is vital that having an effective daily plan can ultimately determine our positive outcomes outweighing our negative ones, versus the other way around. I mean, let's face it, over the years we have become a much more reactive society vice a proactive one which has led so many negative, life-altering outcomes within our homes, our communities, our schools and our workplaces.
