Emotional, touching story
Would you consider the audio edition of The Appearance of Truth to be better than the print version?

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Appearance of Truth?
There was more than one. Lisa kept taking her emotions out on the people who cared and supported her, especially Pete. She failed to see that she had people around her who cared about who she had become and not who she was born.
Would you listen to another book narrated by Reagan Boggs?
I think I might enjoy her more narrating another book. I do like the sound of her voice but her pauses were at odd times so I found it disrupting to the flow of the story.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
It didn't make me cry but I did find it emotional several times. The characters tell their own stories and it made me see things from their perspective. It was sad to feel what they were feeling at the time and how something like this can ruin not only a relationship but take all the happiness from a person.

A story set in England without a British accent?!

I wanted to like this book so I listened to it until the very end. It had an intriguing storyline and a compelling mystery and I wanted to know what happens/happened. However, when you have a story set in England with English born characters, at least one of them should speak with a British accent! I mean, c'mon!
Don't get me wrong, Reagan Boggs has a nice voice but hers was not an appropriate voice for this listen.
Of course, it didn't help that Lisa, the wayward adoptee and our main character, was a pill! She was sooooo unlikeable. It's a good thing this listen included a variety of characters that made up for Lisa's lack. By the time the HEA came along, I was through with her.
This was a good story; it really, really, really was. It deserved a British narrator.
Who Am I?
Lisa Fosters mother dies and she begins to trace her family tree. She quickly discovers that the birth certificate she has had for thirty years is for a baby who died at the age of four months old and is not in fact her own. While visiting the cemetery she Meets Pete, who quickly becomes her boyfriend. She begins her search for her identity with the help of of Pete, Sylvia, her cousin, and Matt, an ambitious journalist. She finally finds the answers she has been looking for.
I loved the whole story line of this book, but unfortunately I found Lisa to be selfish, self-centred, and prone to childish tantrums. I did not enjoy her character at all.
