    Outstanding read!
I was totally enthralled from beginning to end! My only disappointment is having to wait for the next book in this series.
    The kings highway
Loved this book. Didn't want to put it down. I would recommend it to all ages. Can't wait for next book.
Earthâs a whole new world & nothing like Eden
This is a new dystopian adventure series that surprisingly gripped me fast and held me furiously till the end. I love Caryl McAdoo historical Christian fiction, and was nearly as engrossed in this futuristic melee. Caryl McAdoo turns a Texas town story into an end times-like thriller from the git-go. McKenzie & Coop are left at home with older brother Jackson as all power and electronics cease to function. Itâs a bit more modern than Jerry B Jenkins âLeft Behindâ series which based events on Biblical prophecy. McAdoo draws on Survivalistsâ (Preppersâ) current mindsets for this futuristic story picture. The youthsâ only escape route is a 100 mile road to âMeemsâ & âPops.â What theyâre about to face will feel more like a million miles of Hades.
Thugs, pit bull, kidnappers, divine intervention aka miracle, drug runners, wild animal threats, murders, (that just gets them to the city limits) are all a part of this YA story with teenage primary characters, banded by circumstance into ârag tag survivalists.â They trek to a destination unknowing of what will be found, if intact, over miles where rules of law has turned extinct. Itâs gripping, but worth the read for those enjoying this type of futuristic thriller; with a sprinkling of a Christian thread.
A few preview pages of âThe Sixth Trumpetâ, 2nd of the âDays of Dread Trilogyâ suggest some of the young group will return into the havoc in search of a lost parent.

    Loved This Book!!!
Absolutely loved this first book of the three book series! I am looking so forward to reading the next one!
Jackson the oldest brother of a sister McKenzie and brother Cooper, finds that they are left alone in a Texas apartment after a bazaar outage of all power; cars, electricity, utilities. The journey begins after mom leaves for work and doesn't return after 4 days. Jackson implements a journey to head to their grandparents house about 100 mile from their present location. This book was a non stop adventure that I could not put down until the words "The End." There is a little sneak peek at the end of the book for the next book! I would recommend this book for all those who enjoy dystopian reads.

    Bucketloads of Magic and Adventure!
An easy read packed with lots of action. The Key to the Demonâs Gate is about three friends who are mysteriously brought into a strange fantasy world filled with pirates and adventure when they switch places with a demon named Eshteroth. On their quest to stop him from taking over the world, they must also overcome all that approaches them and learn about themselves in the process.
This book has a wonderful voice that makes it a great read for both YA and adults. The descriptions were fantastic throughout the book, even when the characters were suddenly transported from one world to another. If youâre a fan of YA magical realism then this is the book for you.
the author creates a fantastic world. The quest three teenage best friends ends ...
A thoroughly enjoyable adventure. With an unusual mix of magic, demons and machina (technology), the author creates a fantastic world. The quest three teenage best friends ends up on is a test of courage, strength and their trust in each other. The character development of these three along with the surrounding cast of wizards and guardians is excellent. The story moves at a perfect pace and leaves you wanting more at the end. Can't wait for the next installment.
Easy read for YA fantasy fans
An quick and easy-to-read story for the older tween / YA crowd that blends elements of secondary and contemporary fantasy. Three best friends (naturally, with the beginnings of a love triangle brewing) get sucked out of modern day Seattle, exchanging places with the demon Eshteroth. In the process they absorb the demon's power and a quest to save the world from the Eshteroth ensues.
    Great read!
I really enjoyed this book. Great character development, the world that the author creates is fantastic. A mix of inter-world travel and magic and fantasy. I can't wait for the next book in the series!
This book was a fun read
I enjoyed this book. Being older, and not being able to remember strange new names, I read the book twice so I could be sure of who was doing what. It worked and I enjoyed the book even more. I think the author did a great job of mixing modern teenagers with fantasy characters. Alana was a little mouthy but that's typical of teenagers today. She had to be strong to face the many adventures in the book. I loved the way Henry became more confident in himself.

    Great story
    4.5
I found this novelâs cover intriguing so I had to read it. Inside, I found a story about a simple giant who was trying to make his way home via a network of smugglers and Charlie, a young boy who befriends the giant and together they have quite a journey. Charlie loved on-line video games, he was a champ, life was good until he met Jamie and then Charlie decided it was best if he tried to keep out of Jamieâs line of vision. Jamie was out to get Charlie. Charlie immediately felt a connection to the giant when he discovered him and he decided that he didnât want to share him with anyone. This bond grows and deepens throughout the novel and I enjoyed how they depended on one another. They are like brothers and the inexperience of the giant to the size and ability of the giantâs greatness has these two depending on each other in different circumstances throughout the novel. Charlie becomes the giantâs teacher, teaching him simple every day things and also important lessons about life. Charlie calls him Bruce after a movie Charlie shares with him and looking at the cover, I think the name fits him. Bruce teaches him many things, mature things and they both learn about family as their friendship grows.
People are looking for Bruce, heâs a giant and to have one at their disposal would be spectacular. Theyâve been hunting them down but havenât gotten close to one yet. Theyâre trying to perfect their growth serum; a giant would make their life easier. Jamie discovers Bruce and he is angry at his father for Jamieâs father is one of the individualâs who are chasing after Bruce and Jamie believes that Bruce is a product of his fatherâs research. At the lab, Jamie confronts his father. A researcher brings in another test sample of the growth serum they are working on, a sample for the lab rats, but Jamie reaches for the serum and stabs himself with it. No! Itâs too late, Jamie begins to grow, his anger along with him. It becomes a journey, a race, an adventure as the giants each run for their destination and Charlie tries to protect his best friend. I loved the ending, it was magical and adventurous. This was a great fantasy, adventure book with a boy leading the way.
Wonderful read hope there will be more.
I was privileged to read a review copy of this book months before it was released. From the first glimpse of the cover, through reading the description of the book I was very keen on reading it. It did not disappoint. This was the first book I have read by either Pauls or Solomon and I really hope there will be more. I must warn you this is a highly addictive read.

Born in a downpour that breaks a record drought, she is named Rainy. A young Native American girl, orphaned at five, she lives with her grandfather on the white sandy shores of the Florida coast. As she approaches adolescence, Rainy struggles with her love for the Earth and the horrors inflicted on our natural world, facing questions of loss and identity, and the very essence of the human spirit. They are questions that hours spent in classrooms, and even her grandfather's ancient wisdom, cannot answer. Exasperated, a storm rages inside of her, ultimately releasing her own spirit to the storm raging outside, and lifts her into a dream that is more than a dream.
Beyond this dream, in a place where the ordinary and extraordinary merge, Rainy Peek realizes her destiny and what it truly means to be Motherless.

This is a book for parents and children to share. Beautifully written, it is filled with wisdom that like the Mystery, transcends age and time. Its lessons are profound and will remain in your heart and mind after the book pages have yellowed. Tissues are recommended throughout but it is also filled with redemption. Gabriel Horn is a national treasure who has dedicated his life to opening minds and preserving Mother Earth. With profound enthusiasm, I applaud his latest gift to us.

    Publisher: Manifestation Machine
    Genres: Kids, Ages 8-10
    Publisher's Summary:
Life is hard in the poverty-stricken village of Rabylon, where rabbits work every day from sunup to sundown, earning just enough carrots to survive - except for Mayor Monty Cottonsworth III, who lives in the lap of luxury as his villagers starve. Twin bunnies Remy and Rhea, fed up with working so long and so hard with nothing to show for it, desperately desire a better life, but don't know how to achieve it. Just when they are about to give up hope, they are inspired by the story of a mythical carrot paradise that may exist on the other side of a big, green hill outside of their village. Now they face the most difficult decision they've ever had to make: Do they "play it safe" by staying in Rabylon and settle for a life of lack, loss, and limitation? Or do they risk it all - up to and including their lives - on the chance that out there somewhere is a life worth dying for?
Breaking Away: Book One of the Rabylon Series is the first book by Manifestation Machine founder and acclaimed anti-hero Cory Groshek. Following in the footsteps of classics like The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe and drawing comparisons to acclaimed novels Animal Farm and Watership Down, this timeless children's tale is not only highly entertaining, but highly educational as well, with the stated aim of teaching children and parents alike the value of dreaming big, taking risks, trusting their gut, and choosing faith over fear in everything they do.
If you or your child is a fan of action-adventure fantasy series like The Chronicles of Narnia, The Lord of the Rings, or Harry Potter, then you and they will absolutely love the Rabylon series. And it is Cory Groshek's hope that, by the time you are finished listening to it, you will come to know what he learned through the writing of this enchanting little book, which is that "if you truly believe in something - that is, if you care enough about it to not just dream about it, but to do something about it - your belief will bring it to you".

A friend of mine found a copy of this book in a Little Free Library and lent it to me when she was done reading it, and I have to say, it is one of the most inspirational stories I've read in a long time--and this is coming from an adult who didn't think she could get into a book about rabbits at all! Honestly, after I got a chapter or two into it, I almost completely forgot that the story was about rabbits, because the characters (especially Remy and Rhea and the Mayor) are so life-like in the way they talk and interact with their environment that they come off like real people.
While I understand that the book is for kids ages 9-12, the life lessons to be learned from it about what it takes to become successful are extremely valuable to anyone of any age.
