âLife was good. And even better with loveâand pancakes.â

Tessa was a victim of being the wrong person, at the wrong timeâevery time, or so she thought. Her bad luck turned out to be the best thing that could have happened to Dolan Nash, and the citizens in the small town of Mercy Ridge. Officer Dolan Nash was part of the self-proclaimed, Pancake Club, which met bi-weekly and was made up of singles in the town. Dolan professed that his guardian angel would be helping him find the right mate. One fateful night it did. Dolan rescued Tessa from a howling stormâand that was thatâ or was it. Soon Tessaâs complicated and controversial life came back to haunt her, and ruin everything. See what happens in this quaint heartwarming romance tale, by Jennifer Conner. Youâll be glad you did.

Sweet Romance!

This quick read is a lovely, sweet romance that will leave you feeling good. I really enjoyed Dolan and Tessa's story. They each have heartache they need to deal with, however find peace in being able to trust each other with their secret. It is a story that teaches us that sometimes it's okay to let go and trust someone instead of bottling it up inside and/or running away. I always enjoy Jennifer Conner's stories and she certainly didn't disappoint with this one! The idea of the Pancake Club is wonderful and I look forward to reading the next book in the series!

Another hit by Jennifer Conner!

Love on the Airwaves is a wonder heartwarming story about a small town called Mercy Ridge.

Both Dolan and Tessa had a boatload of relationship baggage to overcome. Dolan's friends in the pancake club give and take advise on weekly basis over a plate flapjack.

This is rich with scenery and a wonderful love story.

I canât wait to read the rest of the series.

Sweet Small Town Romance!

I've read most of Jennifer Conner's sweet romance stories over the years and they seem to just get better and better. These series she writes with other authors have been fun--Places To See and The Love List--and The Pancake Club seems to be too. I like that they are short and sweet and a quick read. I also like the fact that they take place in a small town. And, as you can tell by my name, I love the romance! I look forward to the other stories in these series as well.

Great Light-hearted Read

Love on the Airwaves is a wonderfully written short romance!! A quick read that makes you want to visit Mercy Ridge and get to know all of the hometown folk and join the Pancake Club!! I loved the storyline...the vulnerability of Dolan and Tessa, and the jump of faith to open up to each other. One I think a lot of people can relate to. A very enjoyable read!!

I was honored to meet Jennifer Conner this past week and anxious to read her book.

Title: Halo's Christmas Wish

Subtitle: Dreams Come True, Book 1

Author: Sharon Kleve

Narrator: Christy Williamson

Format: Unabridged

Length: 1 hr and 21 mins

Language: English

Release date: 10-07-14

Publisher: Books to Go Now

Genres: Romance, Contemporary

Publisher's Summary:

Halo Ann Carlyle wishes for a home, family, and a boat-load of pets. What she gets is a bruised hip, a lump on the head, a broken ankle, and her new yellow Honda Civic is demolished. Rich McFarland, a sexy veterinarian, keeps showing up in the most unexpected places, promising everything she's ever wanted. Halo believes she only has time to pursue her career as a pet detective and must ignore her growing attraction to achieve her dreams. Will Halo trust her heart and find a way to get both before Christmas?

Members Reviews:

Short & sweet romance

Halo Carlyle wants nothing more than to prove to her friend and employer, Corny Myers, that she can handle an undercover investigation. Corny is the owner of Green Hornet Investigations (I should specify here, Green Hornet handles cases involving pets). Halo is new to the profession and understandably a bit awkward. The suspect in the case she's working is an unscrupulous thief with a bad temper and who might be dangerous.

Kleve does a nice job of getting the reader to emphasize with Halo's nervousness. Anyone who's ever lacked confidence in a situation where they wanted very much to make an impression will be onboard with Halo.

Enter local veterinarian, Richard McFarland or as Halo initially names him, Mr. McDreamy. When McFarland enters the office where Halo is working undercover, she must fight the major distraction he presents. But there are distractions and there are distractions. Much as Halo doubts it, McFarland is perfect for her in ways she doesn't want to acknowledge.

Halo's Wish is a delightful combination of humor, romance, action, and sweet charm. It is a fast read, great for a lazy afternoon.

This is part of a series by Kleve that starts with Corny Myers's story (Corny being a female Dr. Doolittle) and has expanded to include her girlfriends. You don't have to have read the previous stories but I recommend it as a fun way to spend time.

nett und romantisch mit Witz

Hat mir total gut gefallen. Leichte Lektuere zum Entspannen. Michelle entpuppt sich als viel weniger zickig und oberflaechlich als ich anfangs dachte. Sehr zu empfehlen.

I loved it!

I really enjoyed this book and it reminded me of people in my life. It doesn't shy away from real life in that there are not always the outcomes that one might wish for, rather things happen, things go wrong and they have to be dealt with. Gentle, humorous, poignant.

Within the Law - Where Murder and Love Collide

Eight years after the abduction and murder of his fiancé, Tom Hughes throws back his last drink pondering the next day's hearing. Her killer had been found. Consumed with rage and wanting to confront the man who took his future away, Tom leaves the bar and stumbles upon an attractive well dressed woman named Alli whose badly bloodied her knee after twisting her ankle. Uncertain why such a woman would be found so late in a rather dangerous part of town, Tom comes to her aid. Though cautious of a complete stranger wanting to help her, Tom insists ensuring that Alli does not suffer the safe fate as his fiancé years before.

At the hearing, Tom begins to think perhaps his life can finally move on with the killer to be tried and a new woman in his life. His dreams quickly unravel when he learns that Alli is the killer's attorney. Taunted by the man as they leave the courtroom, Tom beats him so badly the killer is hospitalized and later found murdered. With his life turned upside down, Tom is now accused of murder and Alli must prove his innocence.

Chelle Cordero begins Within The Law with a great setup of murder, betrayal, and plot twists that engage the reader immediately. As I read the opening chapters, I was reminded somewhat of Scott Turow's Presumed Innocent. Cordero then takes a turn I didn't expect, and the opening story arc closes. In Ken Follet style, the novel subsequently explores the tragic sequence of events keeping Tom and Alli from being together. The novel is, therefore, less courtroom murder mystery and more star-crossed love story.

Cordero's writing and plot is engaging and entertaining. One is drawn to Tom and Alli and their story just as they are drawn to one another. The dialogue is real and crisp and the novel moves quickly. Within the Law makes a great summer beach read.

High RPM Romanctic Suspense

"The woman, an attractive blonde, seemed scared when she first saw him approaching out of the shadows. She tried to stand again and he watched as her ankle turned in and she groaned. Her knee-length tan skirt showed dark smudges from the dirty sidewalk."

When Tom Hughes helps Alli Davis on a dark street in the bad part of town, he definitely wants to know more about her even though they're like ships passing in the night. But, the following day, he finds her in a courtroom. She's part of the team defending the man who killed his fiance Joyce eight years ago. What manner of cruel fate is this?

A state trooper, Tom is in Rome, New York to identify his high school class ring for the district attorney, the ring Joyce was wearing when she was murdered.
