Hard seasons don’t mean you’re failing.
They mean something inside you is being asked to lead differently.
In this episode, I walk you through 10 things I’d want you to know if you’re ready to quit on yourself—based on the seasons where I wanted to quit and didn’t.
You’ll hear exactly:
This is for anyone who knows they’re meant for more and refuses to walk away from themselves.
And if you know deep down that you’re meant for more, but you keep starting, stopping, and losing momentum, I created a 3-day live training just for that.
Meant for More is happening February 17–19.
This is not motivation.
This is not mindset fluff.
This is self-leadership.
Over three days, I’ll teach you how to stop letting old identities run the show, how to bring safety back online in your body, and how to move forward without forcing, fixing, or abandoning yourself.

You don’t need to become someone new.
You need to return to yourself and what's been true all along.

It’s a live space where I teach these concepts, answer questions, and help you apply them to your real life, not just understand them intellectually.

Addiction is not about the substance.
It’s about relief.
In this episode, I share the 10 most important things I learned during my hardest season living in addiction, specifically food addiction, but this conversation goes far beyond food.
If you’ve ever felt trapped in a pattern you “should be past,”
If you’ve carried shame about behaviors you don’t understand,
If you’ve tried control, discipline, or willpower and still felt stuck,
this episode will change how you see yourself.
I break down why addiction is a nervous system pattern, not a character flaw, why shame fuels compulsive behavior, and why control only tightens the grip. I also share what I never learned in recovery rooms, how identity and self-leadership actually heal patterns, and why your body has never been sabotaging you, only protecting you.
This is not a recovery conversation rooted in fear or scarcity.
This is a self-leadership conversation rooted in safety, identity, and choice.
If you’ve been reaching for food, work, money, approval, productivity, scrolling, or control to feel okay inside your body, this episode is for you.
You are not broken.
You are not powerless.
And nothing is wrong with you.
If this episode resonated and you want to actually practice this work in real time, I host Teachings & Practice every Thursday.
It’s a live space where I teach these concepts, answer questions, and help you apply them to your real life, not just understand them intellectually.

Welcome to the first episode of a 10-week series on the You Get to Decide podcast.
This season is called 10 Things I Learned in My Hard Seasons, and over the next 10 weeks, I’m sharing 100 lessons pulled directly from the hardest seasons of my life.
Real lived truth.
In this first episode, I lay the groundwork for the entire series.
I share what I learned after years of anxiety, shame spirals, binge eating, self-sabotage, chronic self-doubt, survival mode, and believing there was something wrong with me.
What I learned is this:
You were never broken
You were never behind
And you were never alone
Hard seasons don’t mean you’re failing.
They mean something real is being revealed.
In this episode, I walk you through the core truths that changed everything for me, including
• Why I stayed in hard seasons longer than I needed to
• How shame and self-judgment prolong suffering
• Why desire is not a flaw but a guide
• How compassion moves you forward faster than force
• Why you never needed fixing, only understanding
• How returning to yourself is the most linear path there is
This episode is for you if-
You feel like life has been harder than it should be
You’ve questioned your capability
You’ve wondered if something is wrong with you
You’re exhausted from trying to fix yourself
You know you’re meant for more but don’t know how to get there
This season is a reminder
Every road leads back to you.

This is the final episode of the year, and I’m sharing it from a place of deep gratitude, honesty, and real life.
In this episode, I talk about what it actually looks like to end a year without dragging shame, regret, or old identities into the next one. I share how self-forgiveness has been the fastest path to healing in my own life and why being harder on yourself has never been the thing that creates change.
If you’ve struggled this week with rest, routine, motivation, or the emotional aftermath of the holidays, you’re not alone. I share openly about my own challenges during this in-between time and how I’m learning to meet myself with compassion instead of judgment.
You’ll be guided through a powerful reflection I use in my own life and with my clients
What worked
What didn’t work
What I’ll do differently
Not from shame, but from curiosity, wisdom, and growth.
We’ll also talk about forgiveness in a new way, not as something you force, but as something you give back. Letting go of old beliefs, past choices, and identities that no longer belong to you so you can walk into the new year lighter, clearer, and more grounded.
This episode is an invitation to close the year with grace, put down what no longer serves you, and step forward with intention.
