  • If You Give A Mouse A Cookie

In the immortal, yet possibly problematic, words of Kate Moss, "Nothing tastes as good as skinny feels". Diet culture, what healthy means, and the perception & need to be skinny by any means necessary has been a trope and trend for decades. This week, Hannah and Roland discuss the mental health around diet culture alongside Metabolic Health & Fitness Coach Taylor Trost (@fitnfoodwithtaylor on Instagram). Particularly, they discuss the uprising trend of Semaglutides, commonly known as Ozempic, what it does to the body, the brain, and some controversial research going on in the field of physical & mental health. What's the good, the bad, and the ugly of it all? Well they're here to give you the skinny on it.

  • What's Your Sign?

Hey baby, what's your sign? Hannah and Roland look to the stars this week in order to discuss just how deeply a horoscope can mean not only to them, but to anyone interested as well. Horoscopes have been around for a millennia, first appearing in the Mediterranean region sometime around the late 2nd or 1st century BCE. The word "horoscope" comes from the Greek words "horos", meaning "hour", and "skopos", meaning "observer". Join Hannah and Roland as they discuss horoscopes relation to religion, how in depth your horoscope & birth chart can really go, its place, if any, in the therapeutic process, and if these two Scorpio's truly do sting.

About You Seem Fine Podcast

From the publisher's feed

Hannah Shahabi, LPC and Roland Scheppske, LPC are two millennial therapists living in Virginia. Hannah and Roland have often found themselves having lengthy conversations with one another and developing hot takes about different therapy topics. It was in these discussions that the two of them realized a lot of ways that they mentally envisioned these aspects, were through the specific lens of a millennial (i.e. those born between the years of 1981-1996). With the fun spin these life experiences give to their hot takes, both Hannah and Roland decided that being able to express these thoughts and appeal to others, who often find themselves in a “I’m fine, this is fine” mentality, would not only be fun, but also beneficial. Specifically, for listeners to be inspired to seek out and achieve betterment in their own therapy journey. The You Seem Fine podcast provides an inside look on how Hannah and Roland conduct therapy around that topic. as well as how they handle that personally in a segment called “Behind the Couch and Under the Cushion”. As a fun bonus, Hannah and Roland lean into their Swiftie side by sharing their Taylor Swift lyric of the week at the start of each episode during the “I Don’t Need Therapy, I Have Taylor Swift” segment.
