  • The Secret Diplomacy of Young Indiana Jones | Austria 1917 & Istanbul 1918

THIS ADVENTURE! After a brief hiatus, the Chroniclers returns with a deep-dive conversation that gets to the very heart of what The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles was truly about: history, war, peace, and the human cost behind political decisions. In this episode, hosts Peter Holmstrom and Daniel Noa welcome back Sergio Rojo, an Argentinian diplomat with deep expertise in international relations, for an expansive discussion on secret peace treaties in World War I as portrayed in The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles.

This conversation goes far beyond episode recap. We connect the series’ themes to real historical events, including the collapse of the Austro-Hungarian and Ottoman Empires, the rise of modern nation-states, and the long shadow World War I cast over the 20th century.Late Pledges Still Available! While our Kickstarter campaign has officially ended, late pledges are still open for *George Lucas: The Lost Golden Age*. • River Phoenix and The First Young Indiana Jones comic strip w/ Simon Jowett

    THIS ADVENTURE!

Before The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles ever aired, writer Simon Jowett brought Indy’s adventures to life in print — scripting the Young Indiana Jones newspaper strips published exclusively in the UK.In this conversation, Simon shares how:- The first series told a completely original story, continuing directly from The Last Crusade’s River Phoenix prologue.- The second and third series adapted The Princess of Peril and The Plantation Treasure — young reader novels that themselves predated the TV show’s continuity.- These strips helped define the tone and personality of a young Indiana Jones before audiences ever saw the Lucasfilm series.Simon also reflects on his wider career — from writing James Bond comics for Dark Horse to developing the upcoming 007 video game First Light, which fuses cinematic storytelling with mystery and mythic adventure.🎬 Meanwhile, George Lucas: The Lost Golden Age — our feature documentary exploring Lucasfilm’s groundbreaking 1990s era — is officially funded and moving into production! We’re now aiming for our second funding milestone of $30,000, which will allow us to travel to the UK to interview key creatives from that pivotal period.👉 Support the documentary and lock in your DVD or Blu-ray copy here:https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/georgelucas/george-lucas-the-lost-golden-age#youngindianajones #SimonJowett #GeorgeLucas #Lucasfilm #TheLostGoldenAge #YoungIndyChronicles #RiverPhoenix #JamesBond #BondComics #FirstLightGame #FilmHistory #BehindTheScenes #007 #indianajones
