There's truly nothing worse than running a lame, last-minute flash sale that no one sees or cares about until after the promotion ends. And yet that's how most Black Friday campaigns go: someone remembers in mid-November, slaps "save 25%" on a graphic, and then wonders why the money didn't roll in.
In this episode, I'm walking you through my step-by-step guide to planning a Black Friday campaign that's actually profitable. Yes, I know it's October, and you might be feeling a little behind, but you've still got time to warm up your audience so you're not jump-scaring them with a "surprise, you've never heard from me, but please give me your money" situation.
We're picking a promotion, mapping your timeline, figuring out why your audience should pay attention in the loudest month of the year, and I'm taking you behind the scenes of a campaign for one of my fractional CCO clients that did so well they had to apologize to their audience for running out of inventory mid-sale. Their people were literally waking up at midnight to place orders!
EPISODE HIGHLIGHTS
→ Why your Black Friday marketing ideally starts in August or September
→ How to build a promotion that doesn't depend on slashing your prices
→ The five timeline options for running your sale
→ Why "why you, why now" is the question your messaging has to answer if you want to stand out in the loudest month of the year
→ What to create before, during, and after your sale
→ How to give your campaign a core message and storyline so it doesn't sound like every other "Black Friday sale"
→ The behind-the-scenes breakdown of a campaign that brought in over 470 orders by 7:30 a.m.

Everyone wants to jump straight to "what should I post" before answering the most essential questions:
What do you do?
Who do you help?
Why does it matter, and why do you do it differently?
If your brand can't clearly answer these questions, no amount of posting is going to fix it!
In this episode, I'm walking you through how I approach content and marketing strategy with my clients, making sure your business is easy to understand, trust, and choose before we ever touch a content calendar.
EPISODE HIGHLIGHTS:
→ Why "just post more" isn't the fix when your real problem is unclear communication
→ The brand foundation questions I ask every client before we map out a single piece of content
→ How one client conversation, webinar, or customer interview can become months of content
→ The right way to use AI in your content process

Most people think that when they hire me, I'm going to help with social media content, email content, website content. And look, that's true. I love doing all of that. But what I love even more is helping you understand that content doesn't stop at the awareness level.
Brand perception and customer experience are content too. It might not neatly fit under the bucket of "content" the way the industry tends to think about it, but I wholeheartedly believe everything in your business is content. It might not be marketing content, but it needs the same intentional, consistent through line.
I'm talking proposals. I'm talking the Google Doc or portal you send clients after they pay you. I'm talking the box that shows up on someone's doorstep. If it's a digital asset, if it's a print asset, if it's a message you're communicating in any form… that's content, and it's either building trust or destroying it.
EPISODE HIGHLIGHTS:
→ Why content doesn't stop once someone becomes a lead
→ The "three Vs" (voice, visuals, and verbiage) and why they need to stay consistent from your Instagram grid all the way to your proposals and client deliverables
→ A behind-the-scenes look at my early career and how it shaped the way I think about content today
→ Why a sloppy, five-minutes-before-the-meeting proposal can tank a sale even if your marketing did its job perfectly
→ The tale of two unboxing experiences — one that turns a customer into a raving fan and one that kills the hype

Everyone tells you to "let your personality shine through" in your content, and sure, that's part of it. But that's not actually what makes people choose you over the twelve other people doing the exact same thing you do.
In this episode, I'm breaking down what I call your “you-ness” or your "isms,” the unspoken, almost invisible reasons behind every decision you make in your business. It’s the stuff that feels so obvious to you that you'd never think to say it out loud.
Well, it turns out that's the exact thing your content is missing!
EPISODE HIGHLIGHTS:
→ Why "be yourself" is incomplete advice, and what your actual "you-ness" is made of
→ The wedding photographer story that made me book a vendor before I even had a venue
→ A behind-the-scenes look at a client call where we uncovered her brand's real "ism" and used it to source content straight from her own community instead of her own mouth
→ How one of my clients turned a short phrase from a tagline into her entire content strategy
→ The action item to figure out your own “isms” so your content can start doing the heavy lifting of pre-qualifying your dream clients

The number one question I get from people inquiring about my services is: "What ROI can I expect?" (Translation: Can you guarantee I'll make more money if I hire you???)
I love a direct question, and I'm going to give you a direct answer too… Sales are not your social media girlie's responsibility.
I'm breaking down why your content can do everything right, and you still might not see sales, using my go-to steakhouse analogy and a real story about an app that got me from discovery to a $29.99 purchase in two minutes flat, versus one that lost me the second it asked for my credit card. The content did its job in both scenarios. What happened after is what made the difference!
EPISODE HIGHLIGHTS:
→ Why I will never guarantee you revenue
→ A real six-step buyer journey I went through myself, and why skipping any of those steps kills conversion
→ Investing in social media before you have a proven offer is not the best idea
→ How to know if you’re ready to invest in social media marketing

Your content is what builds trust, gets people to want to learn more about you, and can eventually lead to a customer. But that can't happen if you're creating content for content's sake and ignoring your brand foundations.
In this episode, I get into why so many business owners stay stuck creating content that doesn't do a damn thing for them, why most "content experts" on your feed are really just Instagram experts who'll teach you to grab eyeballs and then leave you hanging, and why you've gotta do the foundational brand work before you start posting.
Resources Mentioned:
Your brand isn't just the polished stuff you planned during your rebrand or mapped out in a Google Doc.
It's also the unintentional trail you're leaving behind: The throwaway content you post just to stay visible, the clients you take on because you had bandwidth (even though the work doesn't light you up), that random rant you posted on stories that doesn't actually reflect who you are as a service provider.
All of it speaks. And all of it's telling a story, whether you meant for it to or not.
EPISODE HIGHLIGHTS
→ How every piece of content shapes perception, and why you can't control which post becomes someone's first impression of you
→ The trust gap that forms when your behind-the-scenes content contradicts your polished front-facing brand
→ Real examples of how diluting your brand happens

You spent hours building something you're genuinely proud of and then you release it into the world, expecting your audience to eat it up. Instead? Crickets.
Before you decide to burn the whole thing down and convince yourself no one wants what you're selling, pause. The problem probably isn't your offer. It's how you marketed it.
In this episode, I'm breaking down the five questions you need to ask before you throw your offer in the trash, plus what to do when the real issue is visibility, messaging, or positioning, not the actual thing you built.
EPISODE HIGHLIGHTS
→ The difference between announcing your offer and actually marketing it
→ What to track when people engage but don't buy, and how to spot whether it's a messaging issue or a visibility problem
→ Why confused people don't convert, and how corporate buzzwords are killing your sales
→ Why consumers need a minimum of seven brand interactions before they'll buy, and what that means for your content strategy

Did you hire a web designer, a copywriter, a social media manager, maybe even the whole damn Avengers lineup this year...and still didn't see the ROI you were hoping for? Before you blame the marketing or start panic-hiring for round two, let's talk about what might actually be going on.
Because sometimes it's not that the marketing was bad. Sometimes your brand just wasn't ready for the marketing to work yet.
In this episode, I'm breaking down the three biggest reasons your marketing flopped, what's actually working right now in Q4, and the questions you need to ask yourself before you hire anyone else to "fix" your marketing in 2026.
EPISODE HIGHLIGHTS
→ The brand trust gap and why people are doing way more research before they buy from you than they were even a year ago
→ The difference between testing your marketing and just posting the same thing over and over, expecting different results
→ What's happening in your audience's brain right now and how to adjust your messaging so it actually lands during Q4
→ The three questions you need to ask before hiring your next marketing person

Everyone out there will tell you a different reason why your content isn't working. It's the algorithm. It's your hook. It's your editing. It's you because you're just boring!
But here’s my way of seeing it... Your content could be great, and you could still be leaving money on the table if you're only speaking to one type of buyer.
In this episode, I'm breaking down the four buyer types, the psychology behind why people buy (or don't), and how to create content that actually connects with all of them.
EPISODE HIGHLIGHTS
→ The four buyer types (driver, analytical, emotional, expressive) and the specific content formats each one craves before they'll ever buy from you
→ How to stop creating content based on what you would want to hear and start speaking to the people who are actually ready to pay you
→ Why rotating content types across your feed is the key to turning passive scrollers into confident buyers
