As my passion for helping twenty-something year old women grows, the more my eyes are open to the importance and NEED for conversations around mental health.
Mental health questions were the overwhelming majority of topic requests for this podcast season, which is why I knew I needed psychotherapist Talia Gutierrez to come on the show. Talia helps women find healing in their lives by unpacking the baggage that’s holding them back. She does this through therapy services — of course — but also coaching and mental wellness events like her very own experiences called Fueling Her Further.
In our conversation I'm asking her the very questions I was brought by listeners:
How do we break down the walls of perfectionism?
How do we handle our mental health in our twenties?
What about when we don’t have TIME FOR IT?
What does self care even look like if I do have some time for it?
How do I prioritize myself when my plate is already so full?
Listen into this conversation with my friend Talia for the answers — and for some practical tips when it comes with dealing with overwhelm, how to recognize signs of perfectionism, how to ground our nervous systems, and so much more.

Let's talk about money, honey!
Not only was money management a season two topic request that I was thrilled to see, but I knew I had the perfect guest to join with me.
Katie Bulmer is a motivational speaker + mentor to women in their twenties. She's spoken to over 70+ colleges nationwide + hosts the Truth For Your Twenties Podcast. Also, her husband is the former director of financial literacy at university of Tennessee at Chattanooga, is trained by the Dave Ramsey Organization, + coaches people on how to get right side up on their finances. Of course, by osmosis, Katie is the perfect guest to talk about Money Management + Money Habits for your twenties with us! We begin the conversation by getting Katie's rapid fire responses to these headlines: According to a 2024 Motley Fool Study, Gen Z is more likely to experience financial anxiety than any other generation. Multiple sources say this is because of...
Then, Katie + I conversate around...
Disclaimer: This is a note taking episode! Be sure to take with you the tidbits from this convesation you feel might help you on your own financial journey through your twenties.

As our guest says in this episode, "alcohol is going to going to play way too big of a role in our adult life to not have a conversation about it."
So, let's have a conversation about it! Joining me today is Melanie Farrell of Tastefully Buzzed. Melanie is a speaker for college women and she delivers the dreaded alcohol presentation everyone is obligated to sit through -- only with Melanie, it's not a conversation you'll dread at all!
Melanie speaks from a place of knowing that no one wants another lecture that feels like a wrist-slap; instead, they want real, relatable, and actually encouraging content.
In our conversation, you'll begin by hearing Melanie's personal testimony to finding a relationship with Christ. My challenge for you as you listen is this: consider where you see yourself in her story.
Are you the girl in NEED of an uplifting friend, and maybe you need to be open to a “playground” change (you’ll hear what Melanie means by that later in this episode)...
OR are you someone who needs to shine your light to another girl who — maybe to be completely honest you’ve written her off as a lost cause?
In the second half of our conversation, we'll chat around what it means to live Tastefully Buzzed, how alcohol plays a huge role in our life and how to handle that. We're also just chatting about how to bring more vibrancy into your life and relationships! All of this and more in my conversation with Melanie Farrell. I hope you love it!

We are back for season two of the Your Brand of Beautiful Podcast! Season 2 is dedicated to questions derived from my personal relationships with twenty-something year old women. Questions on topics like...

Have you ever had a bright idea and not known what to do with it?
The inspiration is sometimes the fun and easy part, but when it comes to taking the first steps to making it all happen — or even knowing if you’re fully qualified to TAKE your first steps — is where things get tricky.
The last time I felt this way was when I had the idea to dip my toe into public speaking. I had the idea and the story, but I didn’t know what to do next. Fortunately, I found Mic Drop Workshop which is the online course that launched me into where I am today. Today’s guest is the creator of Mic Drop Workshop, Jess Ekstrom!
Jess is a serial social entrepreneur and bestselling author. She's has been featured in major media outlets such as the Today Show, Good Morning America, Vanity Fair, and more!
After starting and growing her first multi-million dollar company from her dorm room, her speaking and writing career took off. But Jess realized that her success wasn’t about how far she can reach—but how far she can help other women reach.
Today, she helps women uncover the value in their story so they can make a living and a difference at the same time.
Listen into our convo to hear:

Embarrassing confession: I didn’t know who the Savannah Bananas were before moving to Savannah Georgia. (I know, right?!)
But if you really know me, you’ll understand why I am now a HUGE Savannah Bananas fan -- because it’s not just baseball for them. It never has been, since the very beginning!
If you know The Savannah Bananas, you know. But if you DON’T know them, well then get cozy because you’re about to hear their entire start-up story from today’s guest.
Today’s guest, Kelsey Orton and her husband Jared (President of the Bananas) were college sweethearts that took a crazy leap of faith as boyfriend + girlfriend, fiances, and then newlyweds when they decided to chase a dream together. In 2016, they helped in the startup of what was a brand new baseball team in Savannah Georgia.
You could say the entire thing was bananas!
Kelsey is also a business owner herself, as a luxury interior designer + the owner/founder of Tennyson Studio here in Savannah. Kelsey is a wife, mom, + a follower of Christ. Her story today is one you don’t want to miss!

Who else feels like the life you live in your twenties has thousands of eyeballs on it? Like for better or for worse, in social media + IRL, there are people watching every move you make? Sometimes even offering up their opinions -- often without being asked.
Social media, the grapevine, + just the peanut gallery of your own life – they all can make surviving your twenties HARD. And it can cloud your vision when it comes to where you find your worth.
If anyone gets this, it’s Lauren O’Connell. Her friends call her Lolly, which is what you’ll know her as from now on because by the end of our conversation, she’ll feel like your new best friend.
Lolly FULLY felt the friction that comes from surviving her twenties + finding her worth through her experience of playing on Season 38 of CBS’ hit reality TV show, Survivor.
Immediately (like, days) after her college graduation + at the end of her collegiate athletic career, she was stranded on an island with complete strangers to compete in a game that would change her life forever.
In this episode, you'll hear...

Try as we might, the rule applies to us too: Nothing Blooms Year-Round.
This week I'm popping in with another mini-episode pulled straight from my online journal. If you're new here, let me catch you up: I love to write, I love to share, and I love when other people share.
There’s just so much we can benefit from hearing other peoples’ thoughts and experiences and stories!
But, do you know what NOT everybody loves? To read. Ha!
Some of y'all out there (like my husband, for example) are just not readers -- but you can get down with a podcast or an audio book! So, that's what led me to these mini-episodes where I read entries straight from my online journal.
This episode is from an entry I wrote at a time that I was coming out of a season of personal winter. I went into that season kicking and screaming... Anyone else relate?
As life would have it, though -- that's when I learned one of the most important things I've ever learned: Nothing In Nature Blooms Year-Round. Not even us.
Take a listen and let me know what you think!

About Me:
Bailie White is a motivational speaker with 7+ years of entrepreneurial experience and a heart for serving, motivating, and encouraging college-aged women.
Just five years after graduating college, Bailie had started, scaled, and sold her first business: a full-service luxury travel agency that reached multi-millions of dollars in annual sales, a team of 15 women, a celebrity clientele, and was recognized by media outlets like Buzzfeed, Forbes, Travel Pulse, Travel Age West and more.
Today, entrepreneurship looks less like traveling the world and owning a travel company, and more like podcasting and speaking to college women -- empowering them to take OWNERSHIP of their own lives, and live out what Bailie has coined as their own “brand of beautiful.”
She does this by candidly sharing her unique journey through entrepreneurship, life, and the hard-earned lessons learned along the way -- especially the lessons she wishes she had learned before she hit the college graduation stage herself.
Have you ever felt overwhelmed by the darkness of our world? Social media, politics, the news, cultural divides… It’s all… just a lot sometimes, you know?
If you’ve ever felt that way, you are not alone. A 2021 study showed that 3 in every 5 girls reported feeling sad or hopeless about our world!
THIS is why I knew we needed Allyson Golden to come and share with us How to Arise and Shine amidst it all. Her latest book speaks directly to How To Be a Light That Ignites Hope in a Dark World.
You might know Allyson from her popular Instagram page, @wordsaregolden — but she is also a part-time pediatric nurse, seminary student, a wife, friend, author, speaker and more.
In our conversation, we are chatting about:
All of this + more on this week’s episode, my friends. I cannot wait for you to hear these GOLDEN words from Allyson Golden.
About Allyson Golden: Allyson Golden is the creator of the online ministry Words Are Golden, where she champions women in their faith. She is currently enrolled in seminary to obtain her master of biblical and theological studies degree. Allyson and her husband, Michael, partner in ministry at their local church in San Diego.
