Typically we would talk about engagement parties in the context of the beginning of your engagement.  If you "google it" you’ll see guidelines of hosting this traditional party within a few weeks to three months of announcing your engagement. 

Well, that’s in normal times, which we don’t live in anymore!

In creating this episode, it occurred to me that many of you who got engaged essentially any time within the past calendar year may not have been able to host a traditional engagement party due to COVID restrictions.
