I tell women all the time to find someone who's emotionally intelligent. And then I thought, do I even know what that actually means? So I broke it down.
In this episode I get into what emotional intelligence really is, why most people think feelings are limited to happy, mad, and sad, and why that is a problem in every relationship you will ever have.
I pull from Brené Brown's work on vulnerability, John and Julie Gottman's book Eight Dates, and a real client moment that made me realize how many of us are shrinking our feelings to avoid being called high maintenance.
Spoiler: expressing your feelings is not high maintenance. It's emotionally intelligent. And it's also how you vet everyone in your life, friends, family, and partners.
If someone gets defensive and reactive every time you share a feeling, that's not your cue to share less. That's your cue to run.
Confidence begins here. Every Wednesday at 11:00am CST a group of women get together to talk about real life, relationships, and showing up more confidently. It's free, it's fun, and it might change your week. Join HERE!
And my one on one coaching is like no other. Unlimited access to me via voice notes and text. I'm your best friend in your pocket when you're having a crash out, need advice, or just need a hit of my energy. Find out about my coaching HERE!
I'm going to tell you something I haven't said out loud enough. For a long time I was a Barbie in a box, taken out whenever it was convenient. I tolerated it, I made excuses for it, and I told myself it would change eventually.
In March 2024 I finally said, "No more!" In December 2025 I got serious. I read Calling in the One, I got radically clear on what I wanted, I let go of the belief that all men were trash, and I recruited my girlfriends to help me manifest my perfect partner.
Then on my last day in Paris I walked into Dolce and Gabbana, found a dress I could get married in, saw shoes at an Italian shoe store, and thought, "Now I need the man." A few hours later I met him. And I knew.
This episode is for the woman who has given up, settled, or convinced herself it's too late. It's not. Get clear. Let go. Stay open. This stuff works.

This one is a little different. I was a guest on Cytel Schults' podcast Designed to Be Heard, and I'm sharing it here because it's an honest conversation about my story, my work, and why I'm exactly where I'm supposed to be.
Cytel is a sound astrologer who uses natal charts to help women find their voice and express themselves authentically. And in this episode she uses mine to explain why being a therapist was never the right fit for me and why coaching is exactly where I belong. We also get into what I do with my clients, how I help women stop playing small, and what it actually looks like to live out loud.
If you have ever wondered how I got here, this is the episode.

What if everything you needed to know about how to use your voice, show up confidently, and share your message with the world was written in the stars the day you were born? That is exactly what Cytel Schults believes, and after this conversation I am inclined to agree!
Cytel is a sound astrologer and marketing coach who helps women stop hiding, stop forcing, and start communicating in a way that actually feels like them. She reads your astrology chart and uses it to unlock how you are uniquely wired to be heard. And yes, your birthday has everything to do with it.
This is not just for coaches or marketers. This is for any woman who has ever felt like she was not saying what she really meant, not showing up the way she wanted to, or not being seen for who she truly is.

I met Cara Nance in Divine Living Academy and knew immediately she was my kind of person.
She is a Gallup Certified CliftonStrengths coach, founder of Tutum Leadership Coaching, host of the Tutum Talk podcast, and one of the most genuinely warm and brilliant humans I have had on this show.
In this episode Cara breaks down what CliftonStrengths actually is, why it is not a diagnosis and not something to use to box yourself or your partner in, and how understanding your strengths, including their light and dark sides, can completely change how you communicate, lead, and show up in every area of your life.
We also get into Enneagram, Human Design, Myers Briggs, and why Cara keeps coming back to CliftonStrengths as the most universal and cross cultural tool of them all.
Fair warning, this one runs a little long and it is absolutely worth every minute.
