You are not dating him. You are dating your phone. Dissecting his texts, analyzing his tone, reading into how long he took to respond, and completely losing yourself in someone who has not even decided if he wants you yet.
In this episode I talk about what it actually looks like to step back, get clear on what you want, and stop auditioning for a role in someone else's life.
When you know what you want and how you want to feel, you stop chasing and start choosing. And walking away stops feeling like losing and starts feeling like finally choosing yourself.
This one is for the woman who knows deep down he is not it, and needs permission to trust that.

I'm Morgan Barkus, confidence coach for women, author, speaker, and exotic dance instructor with a master's degree in marriage and family therapy. I created Your Unapologetic Life for the woman who is done people pleasing, done comparing herself to everyone else, and done tolerating relationships and situations that leave her feeling invisible, exhausted, and never quite enough.
I have built my confidence the hard way. I spoke up when I was terrified. I traveled alone. I moved across the country by myself more than once. I danced on stage as an exotic dancer and learned that confidence has nothing to do with having the perfect body and everything to do with deciding you are worth taking up space. I dated with standards, figured out what I actually wanted, and stopped apologizing for it.
My coaching is not a formal weekly call you have to schedule weeks in advance. It is real time support via text and voice notes, like having your most honest best friend in your pocket, the one who sees exactly what is holding you back, calls it out with love, and helps you rewrite the story you have been telling yourself for years.
On this podcast you'll find real conversations about body confidence, dating, self worth, people pleasing, anxious attachment, and what it actually takes to show up as the most unapologetic version of yourself. No toxic positivity. No fluff. No sugarcoating.
If you are ready to stop settling and start living out loud, you are in the right place.

You know the feeling. It is 2am, you cannot sleep, and you are reading the same text over and over trying to figure out what it means.
Your anxiety is running the show and you have completely lost yourself in someone else's emotional state. You are not alone in this and there is a way through it.
A client texted me recently in exactly that place, barely slept, overanalyzing everything, spiraling hard. In this episode I walk through what I told her.
We talk about anxious attachment, how to self soothe in the moment, and how to build the kind of emotional independence where someone else's mood no longer has the power to derail your whole day. It is not easy and it is also not complicated. It is a practice, and I am going to show you how to start.
When you are in a spiral and need to get out of your head fast, my FREE guide Sexy in 10 Minutes is a four step reset designed for exactly that moment. It's quick, it works, and you can use it any time the anxiety starts to take over: GET FREE GUIDE

I used to be so rigid that if I could not control something I would not show up at all.
My eating, my workouts, my body. All of it had rules. And following those rules kept me organized and productive and also incredibly lonely.
It was my health coach who first introduced me to the concept of grace, and it changed everything.
In this episode I talk about what it actually means to give yourself grace as a woman, why your best today is going to look different than it did last week, and why that is not a failure.
I bring in Don Miguel Ruiz and the Four Agreements because the reminder to simply do your best is one I come back to over and over again.
I also share a story about a friend's mom who spent decades fighting her body, desperate to be a different size. When she was dying of cancer and could not keep weight on, she said she would give anything to have that strong healthy body back. All those years wasted. All that precious time spent at war with herself instead of living. I do not want that for you.
Your body is going to change. It changes every week, every month, every season of your life.
The question is whether you are going to be present in it or at war with it.

Eliza Lake grew up Mormon in Salt Lake City, believing that if a man desired her, it was her fault. Her job was to protect his purity. That is the message she carried into adulthood, into dating, into marriage, and into her own relationship with confidence and her body.
In this conversation, Eliza and I talk about what it actually takes to unlearn that, and what happens when you finally decide that other people's thoughts and desires are not your responsibility to manage.
We also get into her personal growth journey, writing her book, navigating vulnerability, and what it looked like to meet her husband in college, save sex for marriage, and still figure out who she is as a woman inside all of that.
This one is for any woman who was taught to make herself smaller so someone else could feel more comfortable.
