EXPANSION
What if the ordinary things around you are only ordinary because your brain has learned to stop looking?
A tree becomes tree.
A car becomes car.
A bed becomes bed.
Identified. Filed away. Move on.
But there's so much more there.
In this episode of Yup. I Got You., Tombo builds on The Moment and What Is It? with the next step: Expansion.
Instead of allowing your brain to quickly label something and move on, pause and ask:
What is it—to me?
A tree isn't just a tree. It can be shade, shelter, food, beauty, a home, a windbreak—or, as Tombo describes a quaking aspen, “a balm for my soul.”
And that's where expansion begins.
When we stop rushing to conclusions, creativity wakes up. Creativity feeds imagination. Imagination opens possibilities. Possibility leads naturally toward gratitude—and gratitude brings us back to peace.
Even the simplest experiences can become something more.
Getting into a bed with clean sheets. Driving with the windows down. Smelling a freshly cut field. Listening to another person without predicting what they're about to say.
These moments have always been there.
We may simply have stopped experiencing them.
Expansion is an invitation to slow down and recover some of what hurry, prediction and constant stimulation have taken from us.
Take The Moment.
Ask, “What is it?”
Expand the answer.
Let creativity awaken.
Allow gratitude to come.
Find the peace.
And from that place, leave room for something new.
Because your Best Reality Now may not be something you figure out.
It may be something you finally create enough space to experience.
