  • Hive Music Festival - Week N° 187 - 1 ''Llega, Llega, Llega - El Plan de La Mariposa'' ULTRA-COVER BY YUSAYMON SPA/ENG
    https://3speak.tv/watch?v=yusaymon/1e360459
    Cancion Original:
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N65AsNWjX7s

    Letra:
    Y es algo tan raro
    Sentir que la vida acelera
    Y que lo más preciado
    Es amar y ser amado
    Y es algo tan raro
    Sentir que la vida acelera
    Y que lo más preciado
    Es amar y el resto
    Llega
    Llega
    Llega
    Llega
    Puede ser como lo vi
O tal vez como decidí mirar
    Nada puede perdurar
    A excepción de la transformación
    Es humilde perdonar
Y egoísta enquistarse en el rencor
    El espejo me encontró
    Batallando con mi propia confusión
    Y es algo tan raro
    Sentir que la vida acelera
    Y que lo más preciado
    Es amar y ser amado
    Y es algo tan raro
    Sentir que la vida acelera
    Y que lo más preciado
    Es amar y el resto

Making this cover was an almost cathartic experience, a reunion with a song that always lives somewhere in my brain. I don't know why it keeps coming back over and over, but there it is, whispering to me from time to time. To give it my own color, I used two tools that I love: Audacity and BandLab. The process was a beautiful kind of madness.
I started by translating the lyrics into English. I felt that version in another language gave it a new skin, a different mystery, even though the essence remained the same: that nothing lasts except transformation, and that the most precious thing is to love and to be loved. With the translation ready, I recorded the vocal track on BandLab from my phone. I love how smooth it is for making quick demos and adjusting the pitch.
Then came the raw magic: Audacity. That's where I threw on a totally crazy effect. I started experimenting with the new plugins included in the latest version. I used "Sliding Time Scale" to stretch and compress parts of the voice like an emotional accordion. Then I added "Spectral Edit" to distort specific harmonics, making some phrases sound like distant memories. I also threw in some "GVerb" reverb cranked to the extreme, and an asymmetric delay that makes the words "arrives, arrives, arrives" trip over each other, as if time itself were speeding up, just like the song says.
And yes, the new effects in Audacity are amazing. I leave them here for anyone who wants to take the plunge. But beyond the technical stuff: I always remember this song. I don't really know why, but it's installed in my emotional memory. I invite you to listen to the original too, because that's where the seed of everything lies. This cover is just a broken reflection, a tattoo of light trying to rise. In the end, the most important thing was feeling that life sped up while I was recording it, and understanding that loving is the center, and that the rest… simply arrives.
    **English version:**
    And it's something so strange
To feel that life speeds up
And that the most precious thing
Is to love and to be loved
    And it's something so strange
To feel that life speeds up
And that the most precious thing
Is to love, and the rest
    it comes
    it comes
    it comes
It could be how I saw it
Or maybe how I chose to look
    Nothing can last
    Except transformation
    It's humble to forgive
And selfish to fester in resentment
    The mirror found me
    Fighting with my own confusion
    And it's something so strange
To feel that life speeds up
And that the most precious thing
Is to love and to be loved
    And it's something so strange
To feel that life speeds up
And that the most precious thing
Is to love, and the rest
    Arrives
    Arrives
    Arrives

  • ''W E t LEg 💦 - catch these f1sts'' wth Silent Hill 2 👻 Samples & Tape Noise PLugins cover BY YUSAYMON
    https://3speak.tv/watch?v=yusaymon/ca90c86e
So I recorded this song for Music Zone, and man… the days just slipped away from me without me even realizing it. I really thought I was going to finish everything in just a couple of days, but nope. I ended up recording super slowly, like painfully slow, and then the post-production with those Silent Hill samples took me forever too. Like, way longer than I expected. But oh well, whatever. I'm still sharing it with my alien buddies anyway, just to see if they happen to like my cover of this song. They're probably the only ones who can handle all the weirdness I threw into this track.
    Original song right here:
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lCvS0n75ohc&list=RDlCvS0n75ohc&start_radio=1
So here's what I did. I loaded up that classic Silent Hill 2 sample, you know the one, plus I also grabbed that creepy menu sound effect from the game. Then I just threw them both into BandLab with a bunch of filters — and when I say a bunch, I seriously mean A BUNCH, lol. Like, I'm not even joking. I already lost count of how many filters I actually used. It got to a point where I just kept adding more and more without thinking twice. Once I finally had my vocals and my guitar recorded — which took a while on its own — everything else after that was just adding layer after layer after layer after layer. And yeah, maybe I went a little overboard, but honestly? No regrets. Let's see if my alien friends feel the same way.
    ______
    ## SPA:
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lCvS0n75ohc&list=RDlCvS0n75ohc&start_radio=1

    # 🎸 BOWIE, NIN & CONTROLLED CHAOS
    ---
    ## 👀 The 4K Obsession
    > I'm absolutely loving the **crystal-clear 4K quality** of this David Bowie video. The clarity is absolutely stunning—you can see every single detail, every micro-expression flickering across his face, every bead of sweat glistening under the harsh stage lights. It feels almost intrusive and voyeuristic, like you're right there on stage with them, breathing the same thick, electric air.
    ---
    ## 🏃‍♂️ Baby Trent: The Psycho Chaser
What really gets me, though, is seeing **Trent Reznor** from Nine Inch Nails looking *so impossibly young*, chasing Bowie around like some kind of completely unhinged psycho! Haha, it's equal parts hilarious and genuinely unsettling in the best possible way.
    | Trait | Vibe |
    |-------|------|
    | Energy | 🌀 Manic |
    | Attitude | 🔪 Feral |
    | Presence | ⚡ Electric |
There's something beautifully chaotic and almost poetic about watching this scrawny, intense kid practically stalking a rock legend on camera—and yet, even back then, you can already feel the raw, untamed genius radiating from him in powerful, undeniable waves. That fire was always there, just waiting to explode.
    ---
    ## 🎭 Coachella 2026 Connection
    > **Funny timing, actually.** I was just completely immersed in Nine Inch Nails' Coachella 2025 performances, and *wow*—what a complete trip down the rabbit hole that was.
Trent is older now, gray-haired and weathered, but the **artistry is absolutely through the roof**. The stage design, the hypnotic lighting, the sheer theatricality of it all—it's not merely a concert anymore, it's a full-blown sensory experience that borders on performance art. Every frame feels meticulously composed, every transition perfectly executed.

    ______
    > 🔥 **Seriously—if you haven't checked it out yet, make some time for it.** It's wild comparing that polished, meticulously crafted presentation with this raw, chaotic younger version of him basically terrorizing Bowie back in the day. The evolution is mind-blowing.
    ---
    ## 🎧 The Cover: Controlled Chaos
Anyway, I wanted to share this cover I've been working on relentlessly over the past few days. It's **deliberately punchy and distorted**—and no, before anyone jumps to conclusions, *none of this is accidental*. Every single bit of grit, every crackle, every rough, jagged edge is firmly and painstakingly calculated, trust me on that! 😄
I wanted to capture that same **unhinged, manic energy** these two absolute legends embodied in the original footage. That feeling of controlled chaos—the kind that sounds messy on the surface but is actually meticulously crafted underneath, layer by painstaking layer. Two different eras, one uncompromising artistic spirit that refuses to die.
    > 🖤 *Hope you enjoy it, and definitely dive into both experiences if you haven't yet. Trust me, it's worth every single second.*

    ---
    ## 🏃‍♂️ Trent Jovencito: El Psycho Perseguidor
    ______
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LT3cERVRoQo&list=RDLT3cERVRoQo&start_radio=1
    ______

  • H!ve MUsiC Festival 183 Round 3 - ''Turnstile - I CARE'' FUTURE NOISE TRASH using S Metal Gear Solid SNDS by YUSAYMON
    https://3speak.tv/watch?v=yusaymon/ecc09b99
    ## *Or how I made a Turnstile cover so ugly, it became beautiful.*
Let me paint you a picture of controlled chaos. It starts with a vision: covering **"I CARE" by Turnstile**. But not just any cover. A cover that sounds like it was assembled in a radioactive junkyard by a robot having a panic attack.
The result? A new genre I’m proudly (and jokingly) calling **FUTURE NOISE TRASH**.
Here’s the insane breakdown of how this beautiful mess came together.
I didn’t use one DAW. I used three. No, four.
    - **TAPE on BandLab:** The foundation. The "presents" (presets) on TAPE gave everything a lo-fi, saturated warmth that immediately felt broken in the best way. It’s like recording onto a cassette that was left in a hot car.
    - **Bit 16 + Audacity:** This is where things got weird. Bit 16 crushed the dynamics into a lovely pixelated mess. Then, Audacity—the trusty old swiss army knife—came in. Not just for editing, but for its hidden effects. The noise reduction, the pitch bending, the glitches... Audacity is free, ugly, and perfect.
    - **The Sampler (Metal Gear Solid):** You didn’t think I’d forget this, right? I ripped some alert sounds (*"!"*), codec beeps, and that creepy psycho mantis static from **Metal Gear Solid**. Dropping those into the sampler was the secret sauce. Nothing says "hardcore punk cover" like a stealth game sound effect right before a breakdown.
    > *"jaja se que esta caotico"* – Yes. Yes, it is. And that’s the point.
    ## Guitar Destruction: The Hard Gate
The guitar tone was originally too clean. Too polite. This is a Turnstile cover, not a lullaby.
So I slammed a **Hard Gate** on it. Aggressive threshold. Short release. The result? Choking, sputtering, chainsaw-like stabs of noise that cut in and out like a broken radio. It’s not "dynamic range." It’s **dynamic violence**.
    ## Introducing: FUTURE NOISE TRASH
What do you call a genre that mixes:
    - Hardcore punk energy (Turnstile)
    - Glitchy, low-bit sampling (Bit 16)
    - Broken cassette textures (TAPE)
    - Video game paranoia (MGS)
    - And guitar tones that sound like a malfunctioning robot?
You can’t call it punk. It’s not exactly lo-fi hip hop. It’s not even really noise rock.
    It’s **FUTURE NOISE TRASH**.
    The rules are simple:
    1. If it sounds too clean, ruin it.
    2. Add a sound effect from a PS1 game.
    3. Gate everything until it hurts.
    4. Laugh while you do it.
    ## The Result & Screenshots
Here are some screenshots of the BandLab session. Look at those tracks. Look at those tiny little waveform abominations. You can see the exact moment where I dropped the Metal Gear Solid sample on beat 3.
*(Imagine a chaotic screenshot here with 14 tracks, all in red, one randomly named
    Original Song:

    _______
    ## Listen to "I CARE"
At the end of the day, the song is still Turnstile’s. The melody is there. The heart is there. It’s just buried under 14 layers of intentional destruction.
So if you want to hear a cover that respects the original while simultaneously throwing it down a flight of stairs... this is for you.
    **HAHA. Let the noise begin.**
    ---
*Made with 50% love for Turnstile, 50% chaos, and 100% Future Noise Trash.*
    ________
    SPA:
No, cuatro.
    ## Presentamos: FUTURE NOISE TRASH
No puedes llamarlo punk. No es exactamente lo-fi hip hop. Ni siquiera es realmente noise rock.
    Es **FUTURE NOISE TRASH**.
    Las reglas son simples:
    1. Si suena demasiado limpio, arrúinalo.
    ## Escucha "I CARE" (El cover de Future Noise Trash)
    **JAJA. Que empiece el ruido.**

  • Hive Music Festival 182 Round 2 ''Gorillaz - Tarantula'' Chrono Trigger Samples Experimental Tape Noise ENG/SPA
    https://3speak.tv/watch?v=yusaymon/0a6b7037
For this round of the Hive Music Festival, I decided to push the boundaries of "the cover" by blending two worlds that, on the surface, seem entirely different, yet share a deep sense of atmospheric melancholy: the legendary SNES RPG Chrono Trigger and the track "Tarantula" by Gorillaz (from the Cracker Island era).
    https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/a/a7/Chrono_Trigger.jpg?_=20191024125618
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chrono_Trigger
My goal was to create a "deconstructed" version of Tarantula. Instead of just re-playing the melody, I wanted to re-contextualize the song through the lens of 16-bit nostalgia. Chrono Trigger is famous for its emotive soundtracks—songs like "Wind Scene" or "Schala’s Theme" have a crystalline, timeless quality. By pulling samples directly from the game’s sound font, I was able to wrap the funky, synth-pop structure of Gorillaz in a layer of noise, retro-fantasy textures.
    Original Song:
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CZdyJN99VJ4&list=RDCZdyJN99VJ4&start_radio=1&pp=ygUSdGFyYW50dWxhIGdvcmlsbGF6oAcB
    _______
The "Experimental" part of this cover comes from my use of Tape Noise and analog degradation. I wanted the track to sound like a lost cassette tape found in a dusty attic from 1995. I used various saturation plugins and real tape loops to introduce hiss, wow, and flutter. This grit acts as the glue between the clean digital samples of the SNES era and the vocal melodies of Tarantula.
The percussion was replaced with lo-fi hits, and I used the iconic "Secret of the Forest" echo style to give the arrangement more space. The result is a haunting, rhythmic journey where the upbeat energy of Gorillaz meets the bittersweet longing of a time-traveling adventure.
Exploring this entry allowed me to experiment with sound design as much as musical arrangement. Combining the genius of Damon Albarn with the legendary compositions of Yasunori Mitsuda felt like a tribute to two of my biggest influences. I hope you enjoy this trip through time and sound!
    _______
    SPA:

  • Hive Music Festival - Week N° 180 - Round 3 ''LA MUNDANZA - OKills'' by YUSAYMON
    https://3speak.tv/watch?v=yusaymon/b66fd896
    ## The Mudanza: A Journey with Cuatro and Harmonies
This week I'm bringing you "la mudanza" (the move). And no, it's not about moving boxes from one place to another—it's about an emotional and musical move, one that's deeply Venezuelan. I've been listening to that song by Okills, the one called "La Mudanza," and as often happens when a song grabs hold of me, I couldn't help but pick up my cuatro and make it my own.
The original version has that rock energy, powerful and full of presence. But I wanted to feel it differently, more intimate, more like home. So I sat down, figured out the chords on the cuatro, and took it apart piece by piece. It's amazing how this humble little instrument can completely transform a song. Suddenly, the urgency in the lyrics turned into a gentle sway, a confession.
    Cancion original:
    https://youtu.be/WSzWCjEsqao?si=RuQcZFRH6rqv5mhy
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HGzdalzc2ug&list=RDHGzdalzc2ug&start_radio=1
But I didn't stop there. After laying down the cuatro track, I felt the urge to do more. I started playing with backing vocals—those harmonies that add texture and depth. I recorded one track, then another, searching for that counterpoint that nostalgia often has: one voice telling the story while another comments softly underneath, like an echo. It was meticulous work, putting care into every detail.
When I finally finished it, it sounded different. It sounded like a conversation among friends, like an afternoon in the sun on the patio. It reminded me why I love doing this: taking songs that move me and filtering them through my own roots and perspective. In the end, "la mudanza" became a journey. From the original song to my cuatro, from my cuatro to the vocal harmonies, and from there to you—the ones who give meaning to sharing it.
I'll leave the link to the original song so you can listen and compare. My little version came from the heart, with all the respect and admiration for the guys in Okills. I hope you enjoy this little piece of my world. See you around!

  • ''CASI FELIZ - Miranda'' COVER BY YUSAYMON
    https://3speak.tv/watch?v=yusaymon/5a10ebb7
    ### There are moments in life when words aren't enough to describe that strange place where the heart resides. That place where everything around us is beautiful, warm, and perfect, but deep inside, a small restlessness persists—a sigh that just can't seem to settle. That's exactly what I want to talk to you about today, and that's exactly the place I'm coming from.
I decided to upload this cover to the /Music community because I wanted to share not just a song, but a piece of my current reality. As it happens, I'm here in Venezuela, and the truth is, everything makes me feel almost happy. The climate is that warm embrace that greets you every morning, the kind many would envy. The smiles of the people, despite all the adversity, have their own unique light that brightens the streets. I love walking around and seeing that resilience disguised as everyday kindness. Everything is so... perfect, that sometimes I wonder why my soul can't quite click into being completely happy. It was this very contradiction that led me to record this.
Casi feliz, feliz, feliz, feliz, feliz
Casi feliz, feliz, feliz, feliz, feliz
Casi feliz, no alcanza para mí
    Casi feliz, feliz
    Casi feliz, feliz
I specifically chose "Casi Feliz" (Almost Happy), the song I'm sharing with you
(https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=St__ljEcWJY). The lyrics hit me right in the chest because they are the exact portrait of this human duality. It talks about that Friday night when you finish the week and, instead of bursting with euphoria, you find yourself in a kind of limbo: "I get drunk alone, I go back and forth from the bed". That image is as raw as it is real. It's the routine of someone who is okay, but not entirely; of someone who has a functional life but feels that "something in me isn't completely happy".
I'm fascinated by how the song navigates between the simplest everyday moments—like turning on the TV on mute or making impossible plans that you later cancel—and the deepest philosophical reflection: "The eternal contradiction of the human race". Because yes, sometimes the parody of civilized society invites us to pretend that everything is fine, when inside we're in that eternal struggle between laughing or crying. And that's precisely why I identify with it so much, because, as the song says, "I prefer to laugh". Despite that small shadow of dissatisfaction, one chooses to laugh, to see the sun rise and wish for it to rise for others too.
To give it my personal touch, I recorded this with a ** Venezuelan cuatro**. I wanted this instrument, so emblematic of our culture, to give it a different kind of warmth, like a local embrace to a universal melancholy. And well, you guys already know how I am with my experiments: I ventured to do a second vocal harmony... which, to be honest, I think ended up quite out of tune! But what does it matter, right? Music is also about that: feeling, imperfection, and the courage to share it.
    ________

    https://3speak.tv/watch?v=yusaymon/5c54e014
Well, here I bring you this cover on the Venezuelan cuatro, to which I added a vinyl effect to give it that retro vibe, and I think it turned out with a lot of personality. XD
I know it might sound a bit peculiar or out of the ordinary, but I did it with a lot of love and dedication, looking for a different result. Plus, I'm completely sure that SUNO couldn't generate something like this, with this warmth and this particular human touch. LOL!
Just while I was working on it, I remembered a producer friend who's going through a tough time with all this stuff about artificial intelligence applied to music. He comments that he feels like he's running out of work because many people prefer to use tools like SUNO to generate automatic songs, instead of investing in real recording and production sessions. I totally understand his concern, because it's a radical change in the industry.
    https://music.youtube.com/watch?v=tDcA7m8IyNk
However, I believe the key is not to give up or see technology as a threat, but rather as a challenge. We have to push even harder, strive to offer something unique and authentic that no artificial intelligence can replicate. That human touch, the emotion, the little mistakes that give character... that's irreplaceable.
What do you all think? How do you see this type of fusion between traditional elements, like the cuatro, and modern digital effects? I'd love to read your comments and know if you like this musical direction.
Oh, and while we're at it, I'll tell you that this song is by Parcels, a track that I love and wanted to cover in my own way. If you don't know it, I highly recommend listening to the original because it's an absolute gem. Here it is for you to enjoy and tell me what you think of the comparison. I hope you like it!
    ________

    _______
The first time I heard this song was through Kiro Aslas's version. Unlike most people who discovered it through Perotá Chingó, that cover was my gateway into this beautiful melody. I clearly remember that moment: I was aimlessly browsing through music recommendations when suddenly this particular interpretation appeared and immediately captivated me. When I dug a little deeper, I discovered it was a cover of an Argentinian duo called Perotá Chingó, and that's how I found the original.
Perotá Chingó is an independent band from Buenos Aires, Argentina, originally formed in 2011 by Dolores “Lola” Aguirre and Julia Ortiz. What began as an intimate project between two friends sharing their love for music, nature, and travel soon became a viral phenomenon on YouTube with their song "Ríe chinito," captivating audiences worldwide with their fresh, organic, and deeply emotional style. Their music, often recorded in natural settings, carries a raw authenticity that resonates with listeners seeking genuine artistic expression far from mainstream commercialism.
For my version, I might have overdone the echo a bit, I admit, but I simply let myself be carried away by the emotion the song conveyed. I recorded without a metronome, prioritizing the feeling of the moment over technical precision. The percussion was quite a challenge: I first tried with my Moses cajón, but the result sounded terribly artificial and failed to capture the warmth I was looking for. Finally, I had to resort to BandLab's virtual instrument, which at least allowed me to maintain that organic essence I value so much. I'd rather save the Moses for when I can record it properly, perhaps accompanied by images that better complement the atmosphere.
I hope you can enjoy this interpretation, with all its imperfections and the emotional weight I poured into recording it. Here's also the link to the original song so you can experience the beauty of Perotá Chingó: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d71NUVy2PpI&list=RDd71NUVy2PpI&start_radio=1

  • Hive Music Festival - Week N° 175 - Round 1 ''Love in Portofino'' by Y ' $ ∆ √ ~ ° -
    https://3speak.tv/watch?v=yusaymon/20e75001

    _______
    ENG:
A few days ago, as the aroma of freshly brewed coffee began to fill the kitchen and the morning calm enveloped everything, magic happened. Suddenly, amidst the whisper of the coffee maker, a melody began to play. It was soft, welcoming, with a nostalgic air that seemed to paint an Italian landscape with chords alone. Immediately, my morning routine came to a halt. What song was that? I had to know. In a reflex action, like a musical detective on a mission, I grabbed my phone and opened SHAZAM. I waited those crucial seconds... and yes! I got it. The app lit up the screen with a title: Love in Portofino.
But the question lingered in the air: where did this gem come from and who composed it? After doing some research, I discovered it's an Italian classic with a fascinating story. Love in Portofino was originally composed in 1958 by the duo formed by Leo Chiosso, who wrote the lyrics, and Fred Buscaglione, the composer of the music. It was Buscaglione himself, with his carefree style and raspy voice, who first introduced it to the world. However, the song crossed borders and became internationally popular, especially thanks to the unforgettable version recorded by Dalida in 1959, filling it with that drama and passion that characterized her.
And speaking of its essence, I can't help but mention the magic of its chords, which are the true skeleton of that nostalgia. The song is in the key of C minor, a perfect choice that gives it that melancholic yet sweet character. The intro, with that sequence [Fm - Dm7b5 - G7 - Cm] , is like a breath that immerses you directly in the atmosphere of the Riviera. Notice in the first verse: when the harmony reaches that Dm7(b5) , a dissonant and passing chord, right at the phrase "I found my love," it's as if the harmony itself reflects the uncertainty and surprise of finding love. Then, the G7 resolves with relief into Cm, as if finally reaching a safe harbor. That tension generated by the seventh chords, like the Ab7 that precedes the D7, is the musical representation of that "strano gioco del destino" (strange twist of fate) that the lyrics speak of.
In the chorus, the progression takes us on a journey: from the initial warmth, passing through that Gm7(b5) which reintroduces a touch of melancholy, to reaching the C7 that leads us back to the warmth of Fm. Then, that harmonic twist with the Db7 resolving into G is, quite simply, a musical kiss: unexpected and perfect.
So, thanks to a timely SHAZAM, to the power of coffee to create the perfect atmosphere, and to the beauty of these timeless chords, here I bring you this discovery. A song born in 1950s Italy that, decades later, with every Dm7(b5) and every G7, still has the power to stop time in any ordinary kitchen.
