If you watched my review of Batman Fortnite Zeropoint #1 you know I was pleasantly surprised with the story. I found issue #2 to be even better. It is a really good detective story set against the backdrop of Fortnite using Batrman as the protaganist. Oh yea... there is also a code for a limited edition item you can use in the Fortnite game! win-win!

Publishers Description

(W) Christos Gage, Donald Mustard (A) Reilly Brown (CA) Mikel Janín

I haven't been keeping up with Batman ever since the wedding that never happened. But then they put Tynion on the title and it has been picking up momentum. They have introduced some new interesting characters like Punchline, Clownhunter, Ghostmaker, and now Miracle Molly.

Publisher Description

(W) James Tynion IV (A) Jorge Jimenez, Ricardo Lopez Ortiz (CA) Stanley Artgerm Lau

Batman goes undercover to infiltrate the transhumanist gang known as the Unsanity Collective and learn more about their sudden appearance in Gotham. I am a huge Green Lantern fan. I even liked the Ryan Reynolds movie (please don't throw things at me). Lately I have been a little disappointed with the storylines for that title. It seems like Green Lantern comics haven't been good since they got rid of the Red Lanterns title. After reading the first two issues of the newly relaunched Green Lantern title I am hooked again. DC Comics has given Geoffrey Thorne carte blanche to completely mix up the Green Lantern universe... and I am liking it!

Publisher Description

(W) Geoffrey Thorne (A) Dexter Soy, Marco Santucci (CA) Bernard Chang

A Guardian of the Universe lies dead, and the universe teeters on the brink of war. As the summit of the United Planets and the Green Lantern Corps falls into chaos, an even bigger threat looms. With John Stewart reassigned to the role of an ambassador, a surprise appearance by one of the newest Green Lanterns may be all that stands between the Corps and oblivion. (Spoiler: it’s Far Sector’s Jo Mullein.)

Miss Mindy was always surrounded by creativity. Her biggest inspiration was her grandmother Mary, who worked as an ink and paint girl at Disney in the 1930’s on Snow White & Pinocchio, wore bright red lipstick and tiny polyester suits. Her Sister, CJ Metzger is also a tremendous ‘paint-ress’, fellow collaborator and muse. This Alice in Wonderland diorama is a really cool interpretation of Lewis Carroll's characters.

Manufacturer's Description

Sideshow and Enesco present the Alice in Wonderland Deluxe Collectible Set! The World of Miss Mindy combines Disney characters with the unique design twists of its eponymous artist. Her cartoon folk-art style puts a fresh, whimsical bent on childhood fantasies, painting timeless scenes in a modern light. Alice, the White Rabbit, the Cards, and the Queen, this set has them all – kind, crazy, and mean. Handcrafted and hand-painted, these stone resin figurines are made to last, and this limited-edition set is sure to go fast.

Alice in Wonderland (Alice's Adventures in Wonderland) has been a popular story for over a century. Lewis Carroll really brought the fantastic world of Wonderland to life on the written page. This statue pays homage to the Disney version of the two most popular characters from that story, Alice and the Queen of Hearts!

Manufacturers Description

The Disney Traditions collection by Jim Shore combines the magic of Disney with the time-honored motifs of handcrafted folk art. Alice shares a glance with the Queen of Hearts in this design inspired by the Disney classic Alice in Wonderland. Handcrafted in delightful detail, this scene of opposites features the rich color and folk-art motifs that are unmistakably Jim Shore.

Brzrkr has been a highly anticipated title. It may have something to do with the fact that Keanu Reeves is very much involved with the book. I am sure Matt Kindt is doing the heavy lifting, but Keanu is probably adding to the narrative. I mean, the main character is totally based on his likeness. The first issue set the tone for book with lots of gore and blood. The second issue gives us a much deeper dive into Brzrkr's history.

Publishers Description

(W) Matt Kindt, Keanu Reeves (A) Ron Garney (CA) Rafael Albuquerque

* U.S. government Doctor Diana Ahuja seeks to unlock the mysterious B.'s memories - lifetimes of violence and tragedy like no one else who has ever lived that began with a fateful decision in ancient Mesopotamia. * But is Diana here to help him... or is she serving a darker agenda?

Of all the people that have worn the Robin suit, Damian is my least favorite. He is the epitome of privileged, bratty, and irresponsible kid. If you agree with me about Damian, you're gonna love the last panel of this book!

Cindy Moon aka Silk, has been a character I have been wanting to see more of ever since her debut. They just need to get a good story or an iconic villain for her and I think she will break into the mainstream. I think she may be on the right track this time.

Publishers Description

(W) Maurene Goo (A) Takeshi Miyazawa (CA) Inhyuk Lee • Someone is killing gangsters in Queens, leaving behind a trail of blood and...fur? • Now Silk has to protect these low-level criminals from a bigger, nastier villain. • Can she use her sleuthing skills to figure out who's behind it all and stop them before it's too late? I was very skeptical of this title when they announced it. In fact, I posted it was the crossover no one asked for. I picked it to read as I thought it might be fun to poke fun at it. Imagine my surprise when it turned out to not be so bad.

Mike Mignola is adding to the "Mignola-verse". Cojacaru the Skinner is set in the WWII era. There are white (good) witches aligned with the Allies and black (bad) witches working with the Axis. The shite witches summon Cajacaru to come and dispatch the black witches. If you are into supernatural stories like Hellboy, you should enjoy Cojacaru the Skinner.

Publisher Description

(W) Mike Mignola, Christopher Golden (A/CA) Peter Bergting Cojacaru the Skinner, the strange and enigmatic bane of Eastern European witches, has been dead many years. But from a bloodied French town in the throes of World War II, a plea for help carries across the winds of time. A desperate band of resistance soldiers and their white witch allies rest their fate in the hands of Cojacaru's ghost. And when she answers their call, it will be heard near and far.

Celebrated horror writers Mike Mignola and Christopher Golden return to tell the story of Cojacaru the Skinner, once a small girl named Crina who befriended a witch-hunting golem. Rejoined by artist Peter Bergting (Baltimore and Joe Golem: Occult Detective) and colorist Michelle Madsen, the tale they spin will be one of horror, desperation, and ultimately hope.
