Admittedly, I was not a big Mighty Morphin Power Rangers fan growing up. I didn't really get into the Power Rangers until much later as an adult. I was surprised to find out just how much back story and character development they got into with their comics. It is much more than just a kids TV show. In fact, some of the storylines are quite adult/dark. Power Rangers Unlimited Heir to Darkness is a one shot dealing with the origin of Astronema. This comic is a great jumping on point for anyone looking to get into Power Rangers. It is also a great backstory for a popular Power Rangers villain, Astronema, for those big Power Ranger fans!

But what is Dark Spector's true plan...and what does it mean for the new Mighty Morphin & Power Rangers teams?
Acclaimed author L.L. McKinney (A Blade So Black) and artist Simone Ragazzoni (Power Rangers: Drakkon New Dawn) present a powerful new story that no Power Rangers fan can miss.

Ghost Rider is such a popular character that even Nic Cage couldn't bury him. This Ghost Rider one shot with a King in Black tie-in does a lot to change his current status. If you haven't been following, Johnny Blaze was sitting on the throne in Hell with the help of his brother, Danny Kvetch. By the end of this issue, Mephisto and Blackheart are back in Hell and Johnny is back saving innocents with Danny in NYC. I've really been liking the direction they are taking Ghost Rider lately. Let's see if there is any fallout from his short reign in Hell!

Silk (Cindy Moon) is a great character from the Spider-man family. In fact, she was bitten by the same radioactive spider that turned Peter Parker into Spider-man. Silk's path was much different than Peter's though. I've always felt Silk was a very underrated and misused character. Here's to hoping this new mini-series does her character justice. Watch my video review of Silk #1.

This month brought me the Bespoke Post "Essence" box. The contents of the box are an Alkemista bottle with a built in infuser and one packet of flavor. Since this was my first foray into infusing flavor into liquor, I opted for a relatively inexpensive brand of whiskey to see if the flavor infusing made a difference in the taste of the whiskey. Watch the video to see if my essence infusing was successful.
Manufacturer Description
Make your Old Fashioned less old-fashioned. Or your Gin & Tonic, or your Sazerac, or any cocktail, really. Custom-flavored spirits are a solid way to make traditional cocktails come alive, and to help you come up with brand new creations of your own. The Alkemista is an easy way to infuse your spirits, cocktails, and bitters — or even iced tea, oil, or vinegar — with a little help from the infusion experts over at Ethan+Ashe.
Alkemista Infusion Vessel Total Capacity: 950 ml, Filter Capacity: 200 ml
Ethan+Ashe Combining the design of a classic spirits bottle with the fine mesh filter of a Japanese teapot, the Alkemista will have you sipping your own custom-flavored booze in no time. The process is as simple as placing your chosen flavorings in the stainless steel base, filling the bottle with alcohol, and letting it do its thing. It works with all kinds of fresh and dried fruit, spices, and herbs, and the ultra-fine filter will keep solid particles out of the finished product.
Once you’ve flavored your drink to the desired level, you can serve it right then and there, or remove the filter and store it like you would any liquor. It can hold just under a liter, so feel free to do both. The borosilicate glass bottle is dishwasher safe, and the stainless steel filter and other parts are easy to hand wash. So dim the lights and put on a favorite album: It’s happy hour.
Black Denim Infusion Blend 15 g
Ethan+Ashe This is a custom spice blend concocted by the inventors of the Alkemista themselves, made to add a touch of smoky sweetness to any spirit or cocktail. Inspired by the ‘80s Hollywood club scene and crafted with clove, vanilla, and spice, it’ll pair well with just about anything — whiskey, rum, vodka, you name it.
Includes one 15 g infusion packet (enough to infuse up to 750 ml of spirits) Ingredients: Cinnamon, orange peel, black tea, star anise, clove, vanilla.

Symbiotes have been around for a while, but it seems like Marvel is really using them a lot lately. Ever since Peter Parker brought the first symbiote back from Klyntar during Secret War, symbiotes have been popping up all over the Marvel Universe.
It started with Venom, who spawned Carnage. Carnage is arguably one of the stronger symbiotes. He also has a penchant for murder. In Carnage Black, White, & Blood #1 we see Carnage teaming up with another homicidal symbiote, Shriek and fighting several Marvel heroes.
There is also a stand-alone type throwback story about Carnage taking over an Old West Marshall and his horse. It was a good story, but it felt out of place in this comic. Maybe they will tie it to something else later in the series.
That is not the only thing I found strange in this issue. They put in a rather lengthy "choose your own adventure" type story as well. The adventure story follows you being introduced to the Carnage symbiote. Your mission is to be able to control the symbiote and use it's power for good. I played through the game a few times and you either succeed in taming Carnage or you fail miserably and kill nearly everyone around you. There is nothing in between.
Watch the video to get my full review of Carnage Black, White, & Blood #1.

The Sentinels were introduced in X-men #14. They were the result of a Jack Kirby/Stan Lee collaboration. The Sentinels were invented by Bolivar Trask and their sole purpose was to hunt and eliminate mutants. The Sentinels keep popping up in X-men stories and probably will continue to make appearances. We even saw an advanced version of the Sentinels in The Days of Future Past movie.
Iron Studios (through SideShow) is selling 3 separate Sentinels. The base version of each Sentinel will be just a battle damaged unit. The deluxe versions will have various X-men attacking the Sentinel. In my opinion, the Sentinels without X-men fighting them are kinda lacking. Placing those X-men in battle poses around the Sentinel just adds another layer of depth. Watch me assemble and review Sentinel #1 (edited for time) and see just how impressive this statue is.
Product Summary
Created by scientist Bolivar Trask, the Sentinels are giant robots built to capture and/or exterminate mutants. Among the biggest threats ever faced by X-Men in the Marvel universe, they have the ability to adapt to the powers of their targets.
In the 1990s comic X-Men #1 by Chris Claremont and Jim Lee we are introduced to the Blue team led by Cyclops and made up of Cyclops, Beast, Wolverine, Rogue, Jubilee, Psylocke and Gambit.
Iron Studios X-Men Vs Sentinel #1 Deluxe BDS Art Scale 1:10 Statue presents part of the team fighting against a Sentinel that will form an epic diorama with two more sets and many individual characters in an extremely detailed and amazing scene!

Danny from ZiaComics.com teaches us how to play the roll-and-write fantasy game, Dungeon Academy by The OP. This game is for 1-6 players age 10+ and should take 20 minutes for a complete game.
Publishers Description
Time to enter a dungeon — a dungeon composed of dice! — to kill monsters and score as much as possible.
In Dungeon Academy, each player has a piece of paper that shows four dungeons, with each dungeon being a 4x4 grid. The game lasts four rounds, and in each round you will go through one of these dungeons. Each player also has a character card that shows some amount of life (red) and mana (blue) along with a special power.
What's actually in a dungeon is determined by dice that you roll at the start of the round. You roll sixteen dice, then let them settle in a 4x4 grid. The dice show red and blue monsters in both small and large sizes, as well as blue potions and red strength. You decide where to enter the dice dungeon and which dice to pass through in a continuous line that can change directions only orthogonally, and you draw this corresponding line on your personal grid until you exit at some other point of the dungeon without crossing over your line. You then claim the lowest available number card, with the number of cards matching the number of players.
Once everyone has finished drawing a line through the dungeon, you trace out that path step by step, removing life (1 or 2) to defeat red monsters (small or large) and mana (1 or 2) to defeat blue monsters (small or large). You place new tokens on your character as you pass through potions and strength spaces. Once you're through the grid, you score points for the monsters you defeated, and you choose one of four quests on your sheet for bonus points. (In the second round, you choose one of the three remaining quests, so your choices diminish over time.) In player order based on your number card, you take one of the available treasures, which provide points and powers. Your life and mana levels carry over into the next round.
In the second and third rounds, you replace one of the dice with a labyrinth die that can be passed through only in certain directions, and in the fourth round another die is replaced with the big boss die, giving you something giant to take on before ending the game and tallying your final score.

2021 is the 25th anniversary for Pokemon and they are pulling out all the stops to get their cards in your hands. I did a review of the Pokemon cards available in McDonald's Happy Meals, they also partnered with General Mills and their cards are available in select boxes of their cereal. Strangely enough, I didn't see any of the Pokemon branded cereal with cards inside.
I went shopping at one of my local Walmarts for one of the General Mills cereal boxes with Pokemon cards included. I went to Walmart because the Galaran Ponyta is supposed to be exclusive to the Walmart cereals. EVERY box should have a foil Pikachu inside. Watch the video to see if I was lucky enough to get that Galaran Ponyta!
