On this episode I get to chat with Dr. Bonnie Mason – CEO of Beyond The Exam Room. Through a combination of online and live courses, Beyond The Exam Room (BTER) educates and prepares physicians for things we all should’ve learned in medical school. Wanna learn to read and understand contracts? Check – There’s a module for that! How about learning all that goes into starting/joining/maintaining a private practice? Boom – There’s a module for that. Interested in personal finance? Check – need I say more?! All of these courses are accredited by the University of Louisville and eligible for CME.
She has a knack for giving back. Check out her non-profit organization Nth Dimensions, which boasts the mission of increasing women and under-represented minority representation in the field of orthopedic surgery.
Dr. Mason obtained her undergraduate degree from Howard University in Washington, D.C. She then graduated with her medical degree from Morehouse School of Medicine, and then went back to Howard University to complete an orthopedic surgery residency.
