Generations. That’s the word that sticks with me. His grandfather glued up life boat balsa out of Pearl Harbor for Walter Hoffman’s escapades on the West Side of Oahu. His dad, a foundational member of the Windansea Surf Club, and buddies with Butch, Pat Curren and the Ekstroms. Timmy also soaked up generational knowledge from Hobie Alter and Phil Edwards.
