Successful shaper and Santa Cruz stalwart Ward Coffey has carved out (pardon the pun) a fine legacy in an area renowned for great surfers, shapers and board builders. Doug Haut, Mark Angel, Steve Colletta, Joey Thomas, Bob Pearson, Doug Fletcher and Dave Aronovici and their crew – and frankly way too many icons of the surfing to mention here -- Santa Cruz was and is a hot bed of talent.
