I’d like to take a minute to tell you about a page from the Impact Nations Christmas catalog that I am particularly excited about this year. In the past I have told you about our Skills and Business training programs. We are really passionate about helping the poor become self-sufficient. But sometimes, before we can get people trained, we have to simply rescue them from a dangerous situation. That’s why one section of our Christmas catalog is simply titled, “Rescue a Life”. In Uganda we are working with partners to rescue pregnant teens from the streets of Kampala or from abusive homes. They are placed in a safe shelter where they receive the care and attention that they and their unborn children so desperately need. Through this year’s catalog, you get to participate in their rescue. We need your help to pay for the medical bills related to their pregnancy. Once these young ladies have given birth to beautiful healthy babies, they can begin the process of getting trained up and prepared for the workforce.
