God gave us a Mind & a Heart. Balance in the spectrum. The middle path is having dominion over both, not neglecting one or the other.

Our thoughts (that lead to actions) must be in alignment with our hearts. It’s what Jesus came to do, He took everything a step deeper to the heart.

What happens if we live by our mind and neglect the heart? We don’t experience God. God is love. We experience Love in the heart, not our minds. We CAN’T experience God without tapping into our hearts.

On the same token, we must have a sound, logical mind that is focused on the things from above, sharp, and aware of the truth. Otherwise, we can live in our hearts (feelings) only, and end up tossed by the waves of emotions.
