Now back to your pillars, let me tell you that if you don't have this figured out and don't understand what the hell your content pillars are, then your marketing isn't going to work, all your parts are not going to be in alignment.  In this episode, I cover off some big questions that I hear you asking or that we speak about in Salon Quarterly.  Get a pen a paper (not if you're driving), but I would recommend getting your ideas from this episode down on paper.  Come up with 3 - 5 content pillars and then build out your strategy.  Enjoy!

Are you selling your retail?  Do you understand your customer?

Sales psychology is real!  I get it, because I am a great shopper.  In this episode I want to explain that if we do not stock retail that sells to our gal, then our stock is not going to sell! Simple!

You need to understand who your gal is!

You need to ensure that your retail supports the relationship between you and your gal between appointments.

Are you ready to take extended leave?  Are you comfortable taking extended leave?  Or even taking any leave away from your business?

So many business owners, me included once upon a time, didn't feel like they were "able" to take a vacation!  It's crazy to think about it.  But to understand the reasons why you believe you are unable to be away from your business, you need to drill down to find out what the issues actually are.

It could be that you are the main earner, you are a one man band/one women band so everything is reliant on you, maybe it's that you feel your business wouldn't be able to carry on without you there, or maybe you just don't currently have the right systems in place to allow yourself this time.

Well if you fall into any of those categories listen in to this episode where I give you some amazing tips on how to overcome those issues.  Remember you are the commander of your own ship, you make these decisions because you MUST be treating your business like a business.

Why don't they buy from me?

This is a question that I hear a lot from the gals in my salon and within my coaching students.

Every day in salons across the country, clients are buying products elsewhere, when they could buy from us.  Why are they going to Amazon or Target or wherever it is??  It’s frustrating right?

But there is a simple solution.  In this episode, I will tell you what to do to increase your retail sales.  There are a few really important but simple tactics that you can put in place today to bring up those numbers.  Simple changes like telling your clients to buy from you or having scripted policies for sales in your business.

We all need days in our business where we can sit with a clear head and plan, strategize and get organised. I call these days my "LEXI DAY'S", you can call them your “CEO Day” or your "INSERT YOUR NAME day".  The name doesn't really matter but the intention for the day is what will get you the results.  

These days make a huge different to my mindset as a business owner and to my output. In this episode, I walk you through what happens on my Lexi day's, before, during and after. Also, some hints and tips on how to make the most of this day. I also will tell you a few things that I have found don’t serve me well on these days. Give yourself the time for your business to listen to this episode, and put your CEO Day into your schedule today, even if it is 3 months away, it doesn’t matter, get it in the diary. What does your client really need from you? This is such an interesting conversation for all beauty professionals. We need to realise that what our clients need from us is so much more than just their beauty service.

We need to show up for our clients consistently. We need to be there for them with epic advice and we need to share our knowledge with them. I know some of us think "oh I don't know that much about X or Y subject", but let me tell you, you do, and you know more than your client about products they should use, or hair trends etc.

In this episode I will cover off a few ways that I know your client needs you to show up for them. Enjoy!
