He holds a PhD in Health and Physical Education and a master's degree in Nutrition, and is a certified trainer with the National Strength and Conditioning Association. Dr. Derek is the author of several books, including The Bermuda Triangle Diet and Lose Fat Forever. He has appeared on over 2,100 TV and 400 radio programs nationwide. He currently operates Dr. Derek Health & Fitness, a private training facility in East Amherst, New York, and hosts the weekly TV show "Live It Fit Now!" on NBC affiliates in Cleveland and Buffalo.
