More than nine months after the Pacific Palisades fire killed 12 people and destroyed 6,800 homes, federal authorities have charged a man with setting the initial fire that caused it. Jonathan Rinderknecht, 29, faces one count of Destruction of Property By Means of Fire. A federal complaint claims Rinderknecht, an Uber driver, set the fire in an area called the Hidden Buddha clearing just after midnight on New Year's Day. The feds claim Rinderknecht watched a music video where a singer sets fires before igniting it and even offered to help fight the blaze. Law&Crime's Angenette Levy goes through the strange details from the complaint in this episode of Crime Fix — a daily show covering the biggest stories in crime.
