Julia Beckley completed 40 miles of the American Heroes Run in a wheelchair with her friend Peter Garza as her crew.  She has a rare genetic disorder called hypophosphatasia, which has caused her bones to soften to the point where any attempt to run will cause a stress fracture.  In fact, she has experienced 38 stress fractures.  Julia now competes in a wheelchair and aspires to complete a 100-miler.  On top of that, Julia does comedy, so hopefully you’ll enjoy and be inspired by our engaging conversation.
