In this podcast, Patrick Imhoff looks ahead to 2026 and he implores Fanatics to make some much-needed changes for the sports card industry to benefit the company, collectors and local card shops. He shares the first of many suggestions in this episode!

I share the list of the top-11 baseball players whose rookie cards have been clicked on the most in the past 30 days from my Best Rookie Cards From Every Topps Baseball Set From Every Year article. Several currently injured players are atop the list, which tells us there are some buy-low opportunities!

Along with Patrick’s picks of who he’s picking up, I share three players (one in baseball, one in basketball and one in football) whose rookie cards I’m considering picking up right now for various reasons!

Finally, I we look at Cards That Make Us Happy, and I go back to the 2007 Topps Series 1 release to find our latest fun gem. Derek Jeter swinging from his heels, with Mickey Mantle behind him in the dugout and U.S. President George W. Bush waving from the stands! It’s a fun card — and a fun history!
