The 0-600 yard course is the foundational aspect of killing game animals on demand. It is a “whole system” process—you, the rifle, the optic, the mounts, the ammunition, and the equipment—utilizing optimized techniques and processes to prioritize consistency of outcome and speed. The process is biased towards durability over time, which techniques result in less dropoff of skill/ability over time.
This is not a “basics” class as most would think of it. Yes, the foundational aspects of field shooting are practiced at length, but it is used as a way to create a conditioned response in shooting.
