Overcoming Multiple Sclerosis is a wonderful, wealth of knowledge for those living with MS! Their website and programs are always growing, and expanding to bring as many helpful tools, resources, and support to the community as possible. And I am proud to say that I’ve been collaborating with Overcoming Multiple Sclerosis for a few years now by offering MS-specific exercise videos and content. Today, I invited Dr. Jonathan White, who is an Overcoming MS medical advisor and event facilitator to share what OMS is and all it has to offer!

Jonathan, more often known as Johnny, lives on the North Coast of Northern Ireland, is married to Jenny and father to Angus and Struan. He went to University of Glasgow Medical School, graduating in 2008 (MBChB). Jonathan completed a further five years of training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and is a member of the Royal College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists (MRCOG). He works at the Causeway Hospital, Coleraine and has a special interest in early pregnancy and recurrent pregnancy loss.

He was diagnosed with RRMS in October 2015, and has been following the Overcoming MS Program ever since.  His interests include the great outdoors, cycling and running (reluctantly), reading, rugby, film and spending time with his family. Dr. White assists Overcoming MS as a medical advisor and event facilitator.

In April 2022 Jonathan was awarded “Doctor of the Year” at the inaugural Northern Ireland Health and Social Care Awards.
