What’s good everyone!

Today you’re going to hear from Dr. Peter Valenzuela – the creative mind behind the comic strip Doc Related.” Doc Related is a comic strip with a satirical take on healthcare through the eyes of healthcare professionals. Think of Dilbert and the television show, The Office but for healthcare. You’ve probably seen his comic strips on numerous physician Facebook groups.  

Not only is he a creative, he’s also made the transition into hospital administration and serves as a Chief Medical Officer (CMO) of a large physician group in California. Now, I’m not the biggest fan of corporate medicine, but Peter gives us a direct look into the life of a physician who serves as a CMO.

Honestly, he has changed my perspective with this interview. For the residents and young attendings out there, this is an episode you don’t want to miss if you’re interested in what life is life in the Corporate Suite (C-suite).
