On January 18, 1989, Don Piper was on his way home from a conference in Texas when a semi-trailer truck struck his Ford Escort while crossing a bridge. A true story of death and life where he was pronounced dead at the scene, and for the next 90 minutes Don had a near-death experience where he tells us where he went and what he experienced. 

Don Piper is featured in the movie ⁠After Death⁠ , released in theaters in 2023. It is a fascinating film covering several near-death experience stories and studies of NDE's.
